Beginning Of Multiverse Saga-Chapter 484: Became Fiend Emperor
The moment Sharky’s words fell, a thunderous hum echoed through the great hall.
Behind him, golden light coalesced into a blazing vortex swirling, expanding, and reshaping itself into the form of a majestic phoenix.
Its vast wings unfurled with a cry that pierced heaven and earth. The very air trembled, and the ground beneath their feet rippled like water.
The flames were not ordinary; each wisp carried divine brilliance, mingling with golden radiance and threads of primordial power.
The Golden Phoenix opened its eyes. In those eyes flickered worlds of destruction and rebirth, the eternal cycle of life itself. A divine pressure surged outward like a storm, pressing down upon every being present.
The Grand Elders gasped as their knees hit the floor involuntarily. The Second Empress’s veil fluttered, her eyes widening in disbelief.
Even the arrogant Second Prince fell to one knee, his body trembling violently as he struggled to resist an instinct deeper than reason, the urge to bow.
"This... this is divine suppression!" one elder whispered, his forehead nearly touching the marble floor.
Another trembled as he said, "A Divine Beast’s will... The Phoenix Sovereign... impossible! That bloodline has long vanished from the world!"
The hall was filled with cries of shock and awe. One after another, the Fiend Races knelt, demon lords, ancient elders, guards, servants, every single one felt their bloodline quiver in submission before the golden flames.
Even the sky outside the palace began to glow faintly gold, clouds parting as if the heavens themselves were bending in reverence.
Sharky blinked, stunned.
He hadn’t released the pressure deliberately.. The flames had burst from him on their own, forming that majestic bird of light that now hovered silently behind him.
"W–what the hell..." he muttered under his breath, looking around. "Why is everyone bowing?"
The Second Empress’s lips parted slightly, her voice trembling as she whispered, "That... that isn’t ordinary divine fire... It’s the Golden Phoenix of Rebirth—the guardian flame that once served the first Fiend Emperor himself..."
Her words spread through the hall like thunder.
All those present looked up at Sharky with eyes full of reverence and disbelief. In their gazes, confusion turned to awe... and awe turned to worship.
The Grand Elder lowered his head completely and said hoarsely, "The heavens have chosen their Emperor."
Sharky froze, the weight of countless gazes bearing down on him. He wanted to speak—to say something, anything—but the Phoenix behind him let out another soft, resonant cry, and all voices fell silent.
The declaration of a new era echoed wordlessly through the air.
Then, as the golden radiance dimmed slightly, the Second Empress slowly raised her eyes toward the glowing phoenix silhouette. Her expression was complex of fear, reverence, and a faint trace of realization.
The hall remained silent for a long while after the golden light faded. Then, slowly, one by one, the elders and nobles began to kneel again — not out of fear this time, but with genuine reverence.
The Grand Elder straightened his back, his voice solemn and unshakable as it echoed through the grand chamber.
"The divine will has spoken. From this day forth, Sharky shall be the new Fiend Emperor! Neither the Second Prince nor the young prince shall claim the throne, for the Phoenix’s flame recognizes only one sovereign."
His words resounded like a heavenly decree.
The Second Empress, though visibly shaken, bowed deeply as well. "Since the Guardian Flame has acknowledged him, I have no reason to resist. The Fiend Race will prosper again under the Emperor chosen by the heavens."
"I..." the Second Prince wanted to retort, but no matter how confident he was in himself, he didn’t dare to retort.
His face turned pale. He tried to speak, but under the weight of the lingering Phoenix will, no sound escaped his lips. All resistance within him burned away, leaving only despair and awe.
A clear voice, like the ringing of water, resounded first. "The ocean acknowledges the new sovereign."
A beautiful figure dressed in an ocean blue wide-sleeved dress appeared; her curves flowed naturally like moonlight. Beautiful pearls and coral were embedded in her dress, making her easily recognizable by all.
"Mermaid Princess!"
The ordinary soldiers were merely shocked by this Mermaid Princess’ beauty, but the higher-level figures of the Fiend King Court knew just how much influence she had in the Ocean races. If she said something like that, it clearly represented the will of the Ocean races.
The Ocean races support the new sovereign!
"The Elven Courts offer their blessings to the Phoenix Emperor," Elf King said solemnly, crossing his hands upon his chest in salute.
With the Elf race and Ocean races taking the lead, the Demon races and other representatives came forward to support the new sovereign.
Magnus almost smacked his thigh until it was swollen from regret. These fellas were normally so proud of themselves, and yet they were all so good at bootlicking when it mattered!
I was just distracted for a moment and ended up falling behind...
Thus, he also quickly expressed his loyalty with great fervor and passion. It was to the point that the other powers cast sidelong looks. Is this guy really the Tiger race’s leader? He’s not the Dog race leader doing an impersonation, right?
The Second Prince’s face became extremely pale when he saw so many of the Fiend races’ great powers support the Sharky. He knew everything was over, and that he was finished.
Suddenly, a rainbow light suddenly descended from the sky, and a voice called out "Our Peacock King Race also supports the Phoenix King. Furthermore..." The one who arrived paused for a moment.
He turned to look at the Second Prince and continued, "the Second Prince killed the Crown Prince, and he has even caused the entire King Court to be covered in rivers of blood. He must be punished properly."
"Peacock King Race!"
The onlookers cried out in alarm when they saw the one who had arrived. Two of the three great king races were here, and both of them supported the young prince.
After all, the Peacock King, the Great Elf King, and the Great Golden Peng King all had extraordinary status. They were practically only second to the Fiend Emperor among the Fiend races. Their words, to a certain extent, could represent the will of the Fiend races.
The Peacock Wise King had now antagonized the Second Prince in such a manner. Things probably couldn’t be settled peacefully between them.
In truth, the Peacock Wise King was also furious at the moment. He hadn’t approved of the Crown Prince’s actions today, nor had he joined in.
But how could he have thought that that piece of trash would be killed instead despite having the initiative?
The crown prince’s death normally wouldn’t have much to do with him either, but what really made him go crazy was that the Fiend Emperor had determined the Crown Prince’s wife not too long ago. The Crown Princess was none other than his own daughter, Talia!
He had actually been a bit hesitant about the marriage, but even before it went through, his precious daughter had become a widow. How could he not be furious?
The Second Prince’s expression changed. He realized what was going on too.
"Peacock Wise King, it was not that I wanted to kill the Crown Prince, but rather that he wanted to kill me. I was merely acting out of self-defense," the Second Prince said, gradually calming down.
He knew he had no chance for the throne now and that it would already be good if he could simply keep his life. He could still seize an opportunity in the future.
"Self-defense?" the Peacock Wise King sneered. "I don’t care what kind of grudge you share with each other. You’ve caused my daughter’s reputation to be harmed, so you deserve death!"
Then, a streak of divine rainbow light swept toward the Second Prince. The Second Prince’s expression changed. They were all a part of the Fiend King Court, so he knew fully well just how formidable that light was!
He tried to dodge, but he was surrounded by the light. He felt as if his entire body had frozen. The only thing he could do was frantically use his cultivation.
A layer of black flames rose from his body, resisting the light. However, smoke was already starting to pour out of his entire body. It didn’t seem long before he completely turned to ashes.
Suddenly, a streak of golden light rushed forth, blocking the Peacock Wise King’s rainbow light.
The Peacock Wise King’s face darkened. He looked in its direction, calling out, "Little Golden Peng King, are you going to stop me?"
With a flicker of golden light, a young, golden-armored prince appeared on a nearby rooftop. It was none other than the current Great Golden Peng King race’s Little Golden Peng King.
Those present sighed in amazement. That movement skill was really fast! No wonder the Fiend races publicly acknowledged the Great Peng race to be number one in speed. Only the royal family’s Golden Crow Radiant Flow was comparable.
The Little Golden Peng King stepped forward, his golden feathers faintly glowing under the lingering light of the Phoenix flame. He bowed deeply toward Sharky before speaking.
"Your Majesty, please quell your anger," he said respectfully. "I know the Peacock Wise King’s fury burns bright, but many of the royal princes have already perished."
"The Fiend Emperor’s bloodline now stands on the edge of extinction — only the Second Prince and the young prince remain. If we slay the Second Prince here, and some misfortune were to befall the young prince in the future... would not the entire Golden Crow lineage vanish from this world?"
He turned slightly toward the Second Empress, offering an apologetic smile. "Your Highness, please do not misunderstand. I do not speak to curse the young prince, but only for the future of our race. If the royal bloodline perishes, the Fiend Realm itself will lose its foundation."
The Second Empress frowned deeply, her eyes flashing with displeasure, though she said nothing.
The Peacock Wise King narrowed his gaze. His expression was unreadable, but his thoughts churned. What is the Little Golden Peng King scheming?
His father died mysteriously back then, so he should hate the Golden Crow family. If there’s anyone who wants the Fiend Emperor’s bloodline to end, he should be one of the most likely suspects. Why is he defending them now?
Especially in front of the new Emperor.
Several Grand Elders exchanged glances. At last, the Great Elder sighed and said gravely, "The Little Golden Peng King’s words are not without merit. We must think of the greater balance of the Fiend races."
The Peacock Wise King’s wings flared slightly. "The Second Prince drenched the royal court in blood," he retorted coldly. "Shall we just let him walk free under the pretext of mercy?"
The Little Golden Peng King did not waver. He nodded lightly and replied, "Both the Crown Prince and the Second Prince are guilty for today’s tragedy. The Crown Prince has already paid with his life, while the Second Prince cannot escape punishment. However..."
He turned toward Sharky again, bowing once more. "Your Majesty, I have just received word from the borders. The Netherworld Seal has started to move. The Ghoul races have started to invade. We can send the Second Prince to deal with that situation to wash away his crimes."
"Netherworld Seal!" the various Fiend race people exclaimed, their expressions changing. They whispered to one another, looking as if they were about to face a huge disaster.
Sharky’s brows furrowed slightly. "Netherworld Seal? Ghoul races?" he asked, his tone calm yet curious. "What are they?"
