Beginning Of Multiverse Saga-Chapter 494: A Quiet Moment
After Sharky analyzes everything around himself, he gets out of the simulation pod. (The simulation pod was created by Ultivalortrix, whenever he started stimulating another world, to keep him away from other interference.)
When he walked out of the simulation pod, the simulation pod automatically disappeared inside his body, which was not new for him.
He looked around the room and found it empty, which he had expected, since his wives were busy training and taking care of his children.
He looked towards the date, it was also one of things he does, whenever he exits from the simulation. So, he could match the date and understand how much time passed in reality, and according to that, he adjusts his life.
After matching the date, he realized that three years have passed.
---
He appeared inside the vast training hall that the Alexander family had prepared.
The hall was enormous, stretching far beyond what the eye could measure, its walls forged from reinforced spatial alloys and layered runic barriers. Training zones were divided by invisible force fields, each one simulating different laws of reality. Time flowed unevenly here, some zones accelerated, others slowed, a few completely isolated from causality.
And how this time zone was created here, so all credits goes to the Alexander Family.
His wives were still in deep training.
Sophia was blinking between dozens of teleportation spots, her figure vanishing and reappearing across the hall in rapid succession. Each jump was precise, flawless.
Space folded obediently around her, and even the training markers struggled to keep up with her movement.
Rosie was working inside a living simulation zone. Different wounded animals were brought in one by one. Some had broken limbs, some deep gashes, others internal damage that would normally be fatal. Rosie knelt among them calmly, placing her hands gently on their bodies.
Her regeneration ability flowed outward and tried to restore their flesh, mending bones, stabilizing organs. One by one, the animals stood up after getting healed, and moved safely out of the zone.
Evanthe stood inside an isolated zone where time itself was frozen. Dust hung motionless in the air, shattered constructs suspended mid-collapse. She moved freely within the stopped world, adjusting fragments, rewinding and accelerating small sections, refining her control with quiet focus.
Jean, Elira, Saba, and Seorin were positioned near the observation platforms, keeping watch over the children.
The children were training too, under strict limitations, learning control, balance, and awareness.
Maria was at the center of a low-gravity zone. Small wings of flame unfolded behind her back as she hovered unsteadily in the air. Rings of soft phoenix fire floated around her, and her task was to keep them stable. Each time her emotions fluctuated, the flames flared wildly, forcing her to slow her breathing and regain focus. With every correction, the fire grew calmer, more obedient.
Lily was placed inside a heat-regulated arena. Thin streams of fire and molten sparks flowed toward her from different directions. Instead of releasing power, she absorbed the heat instinctively, her small hands glowing as the energy disappeared into her body. Occasionally, crystalline shards formed over her skin when her emotions spiked, but she quickly settled, the shards fading back as she learned control.
Olivia stood beside a dismantled training drone. Wires, broken plates, and exposed cores lay scattered around her. She touched the machine lightly, her fingers glowing with faint technologic patterns. The drone slowly reassembled itself, systems rebooting one by one. Nearby displays showed stable output levels.
Lucas trained inside a marked teleportation grid. He blinked from point to point in short bursts, each movement leaving a faint ripple in space. Suddenly, two more Lucases appeared beside him, copying his last actions perfectly.
Sharky stood there silently, watching them. He felt an inner peace as he looked at his children.
Maria was the first to notice him, and before he could say anything, she flew toward him. Anything that obstructed her path, even the chamber shields, melted away under her Phoenix wings.
Lily followed her sister’s example. A shield of fire formed around her as she ran straight toward him.
Olivia used the same drone she had created and began flying toward him on it.
But before the three of them could reach Sharky, a voice rang out, shocking everyone.
"PAPA!!!"
It was Lucas. He teleported directly into Sharky’s arms, wrapping his arms tightly around his neck.
Right behind him, Lily came in like a missile and clung to Sharky’s arm. Olivia crawled up onto his chest. Finally, Maria appeared and wrapped her arms around his neck from behind.
One by one, they reached him.
Sharky’s arms tightened around them instinctively.
He kissed Lucas’s hair first, then Lily’s forehead, then Olivia’s cheek as she giggled and clutched his clothes. Maria laughed softly from behind, pressing her face against his shoulder as if afraid he might disappear again.
"Alright... alright," Sharky said quietly, his voice rough, full. "I’m here. I’m not going anywhere."
The children only held him tighter.
Tiny hands clung to his arms. Warm foreheads pressed against his chest. Happy tears soaked into his clothes.
Not far away, Elira stood holding Nyssa in her arms.
Nyssa looked on curiously.
Her big eyes followed the scene, the way her brother and sisters surrounded that man, the way they laughed, cried, and refused to let go. She didn’t understand why yet. She had been born while Sharky was inside the simulation. To her, he was a stranger.
She had grown up in her mothers’ arms. Played with her siblings when they visited. Fallen asleep to voices that were not his.
And yet...
Her small hand tightened slightly. Something inside her stirred. A warmth she couldn’t name. A pull she didn’t understand.
Nyssa leaned forward, her eyes never leaving Sharky.
Elira noticed it immediately. She lowered her gaze to the little girl and smiled softly. Without saying a word, she loosened her hold.
Nyssa hesitated for only a second. Then she wriggled free. Her tiny legs touched the ground, and she crawled forward, slow and unsure at first.
Sharky felt it before he saw her. He looked down, and his eyes met with her.
Nyssa paused, staring up at him.
Then, as if the decision had already been made, she crawled the last distance and placed her small hands against his chest, climbing clumsily onto him.
Sharky carefully shifted one arm and pulled her close, cradling her against him. Nyssa settled instantly, resting her head against his chest as if it was the most safe place in the world.
A soft, content sound escaped her. Sharky closed his eyes. For a moment, he couldn’t breathe.
Around them, his wives watched silently.
Sophia smiled gently. Rosie covered her mouth, eyes shining. Evanthe looked away for a second, steadying herself. Jean’s aura dimmed into warmth. Elira’s smile was calm, knowing.
Saba exhaled slowly. Seorin nodded once, quietly satisfied.
They wanted to go to him. They wanted to hold him too. But they didn’t move. This moment belonged to the children.
Sharky held them all, Lucas, Lily, Olivia, Maria... and now Nyssa, his arms full, his heart fuller than it had ever been.
He lowered himself slowly, sitting on the smooth floor of the training hall so he could hold all of them properly. The children adjusted instantly.
Lucas sat on his lap, still gripping his neck tightly. "You took too long," He said seriously.
Sharky chuckled softly. "I know. That one’s on me."
Lily tapped his arm with her small hand, flames flickering harmlessly around her fingers. "Mama Saba said you were doing important things."
"I was," Sharky replied, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. "But not more important than you."
Olivia poked at his chest, her eyes glowing faintly, "I missed you..."
"I missed you too... My baby," Sharky smiled.
Maria leaned over his shoulder, resting her chin there. "I also missed you so much."
"I miss you all too."
Nyssa remained quiet. She sat against his chest, small fingers gripping his clothes. Every now and then, she looked up at his face, studying it as if trying to memorize every detail. When Sharky noticed, he smiled gently at her.
Nyssa blinked, then reached up and touched his cheek. Nearby, the mothers smiled.
They simply watched as Sharky talked to his children, telling small stories, listening to their questions, laughing at their half-formed words and serious expressions.
Minutes stretched into an hour. Then another.
Eventually, Lucas leaned against him, growing sleepy. Lily curled at his side. Olivia rested her head on his shoulder. Maria stayed close, still asking questions in a soft voice.
Nyssa fell asleep. Her breathing even. Her hand was still clutching his clothes.
Sharky didn’t move. He stayed right there, holding them all, and being with his children.
Seeing the children fall asleep one by one, his wives finally came closer. They moved quietly, careful not to wake them.
Sophia knelt beside Sharky first, gently brushing Lucas’s hair before resting her hand on his arm. She smiled softly. "We missed you."
Rosie sat near Lily, adjusting her position so she slept more comfortably. She looked up at Sharky and nodded. "A lot."
Evanthe stepped closer, her eyes settling on Nyssa sleeping peacefully against his chest. Her voice was calm, but warm. "She’s comfortable with you. That makes me happy."
Jean placed a hand on Sharky’s shoulder, warmth flowing gently. "Things went on as usual. But it’s better when you’re here."
Elira met his eyes, her expression relaxed. "The house felt quieter without you around."
Saba crossed her arms lightly, then let out a small breath. "Training’s more boring without you watching."
Seorin nodded in agreement. "We’re glad you’re back."
Sharky looked at them, his gaze moving from one to another, his arms still holding the children.
"I missed all of you too," he said simply.
He shifted slightly, making space so they could sit closer without disturbing the children. Hands brushed against his shoulders, his back, his arms. The family, together again, sharing a quiet moment.
