Being Op With My Broken System: All Limits Have Errors-Chapter 57: Registering as an explorer. Explorer Alex
Chapter 57: Registering as an explorer. Explorer Alex
Alex was stunned by her words, and his face immediately reddened beyond his control. All young boys naturally had fantasies about adult women, and he wasn’t an exception, but that wasn’t why he was staring at her!
"T-that’s not it! Don’t say something like that!" Alex spat out chaotically, causing the driver and Aunt Mia to laugh.
"Don’t mind the leader, kid. That’s just how she is, you’ll get used to it." The driver said in an attempt to calm Alex, the boy was so red that even he wanted to tease him too, but he wasn’t good at teasing others.
Alex moved his gaze away, not daring to look at Aunt Mia’s face anymore.
Get used to it? That was if he didn’t explode first. Aunt Mia looked like the perfect milf! Who wouldn’t have thoughts when they saw her?
"Hahaha, ok ok, I won’t tease you anymore...for today at least. What was on your mind?" Aunt Mia said after she finally calmed down from laughing.
Alex took longer to calm down, he only started to speak after his face returned to its usual shade.
"Your eye...what happened to it?" He asked while staring at the eye patch. Although he felt this question was inappropriate, he couldn’t help it.
He felt that there was an interesting story behind it and wanted to know.
Aunt Mia’s other eyes showed a surprised glint after hearing Alex’s question. She slowly lifted one of her hands to face and touched the eye patch. Alex watched her movements with expectancy.
"Eh? Who said anything happened to my eye? My eyes are perfectly fine." She suddenly grabbed the eye patch with two of her fingers and lifted it, revealing her second eye.
Alex "..."
Simon, who was driving, was already laughing softly at their interaction.
Alex suppressed his emotions and asked Aunt Mia why she was covering it with an eye patch if her eyes were fine, her response shocked him even more than when he found out that her eyes were alright.
"Because it makes me look cool and experienced," Mia said with a big smile.
Alex sighed, he felt that too much was happening and he wanted to take time off.
Seeing Alex’s tired expression in the front mirror, Simon couldn’t suppress his laugh anymore and let out a burst of laughter.
Aunt Mia returned her eye patch to its previous position before sitting more comfortably. No one said anything else as the car sped through the busy road.
Not long after, they arrived at the Union building and Simon found a place to stop the car before Alex and Aunt Mia came down.
"Wait for us here, we’ll be back soon." She said to Simon before telling Alex to come with her.
"Copy that!" Simon called out as he stood beside the car.
Meanwhile, Alex followed Aunt Mia into the Union building.
Just like before, the place was packed with people, and the receptionists were busy attending to them.
Alex looked around and noticed that some of the people were staring at them. In particular, they were staring at Aunt Mia beside him.
’I guess she’s popular. Makes sense, she’s an Expert mage after all.’ Alex thought to himself as he turned to look at her.
He was stunned when he saw Aunt Mia’s face; he almost thought that she was a different person who looked like her.
Aunt Mia didn’t look like herself when he first met her or while they were in the car. Right now, there was not a trace of a smile on her face. Her eyes were cold as ice, and her posture was straight; she looked like a cold beauty that could not be melted even by the hottest sun, and her eye patch added a mysterious air around her.
Alex was deeply shocked. Why did she look like another person right after stepping into the Union building?!
"Come with me, Alex," She said to him. Alex realised that she was already walking away and hurriedly caught up.
They approached one of the receptionists who wasn’t attending to anyone at the moment. The receptionist was a young woman in her early twenties, she wasn’t a mage.
The receptionist looked at the two of them, and her face showed a startled expression when she recognised Aunt Mia.
"Hello ma’am, how can I help you today?" The receptionist asked respectfully, she shot a glance at Alex, and curiosity could be seen in her eyes.
"Register him as an explorer." Aunt Mia said in a toneless voice.
"Yes, yes, of course." The receptionist answered in one breath before taking out a piece of paper from under her desk and placing it in front of Alex for him to feel. She also gave him a pen.
Aunt Mia just stayed silent on the side and watched. Alex picked up the paper and pen and began to fill it out.
It was the same as when he came to register as Mr Chen, the only difference was that it was Owen who attended to him.
Alex wondered why it was so. He had been stunned when he learned that Owen was actually one of the two elders of this Union branch; why did he handle his registration personally instead of leaving it to the receptionist?
Pushing the thought to the back of his mind, Alex finished filling up the form. There were not a lot of things to write anyway, just things such as his element, name, rank, and other personal details.
Unlike the previous time when he had left most of the spaces blank, Alex had filled in everything this time.
’Now that I think about it, Owen didn’t ask why I left some of the spaces blank.’ Alex thought to himself as he returned the form to the receptionist.
The receptionist lady said that she would be back in a bit and disappeared into one of the doors behind the receptionist counter.
While they waited, Alex asked Aunt Mia if it was possible not to fill out everything in the form when registering as an explorer.
"It’s not compulsory. Mages normally have things that they wish to hide from others, and the Union don’t do much with that information anyway, since they all cannot fit into the card." She replied, her voice wasn’t as cold as when she spoke to the receptionist. fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
Alex’s eyes showed understanding, so that was why Owen didn’t question him.
Not long after, the lady returned and asked the two of them if they would like to wait or come back tomorrow for the card.
Alex wanted to suggest coming back tomorrow since that was what he had done the last time; he thought that creating the explorer identity card would take time.
But Aunt Mia said that they would wait, so both of them went to sit in a corner and wait for the card.
"Does making the card not take time? Shouldn’t we come back tomorrow?" Alex asked in confusion.
"No, it’ll only take a few minutes." Aunt Mia answered.
Alex nodded in realisation. As for his past experience, there was no use crying over spilt milk.
After more than 10 minutes had passed, someone soon came to them with the card and handed it to Alex before leaving.
Alex had noticed something as he watched the person walk away in hurried steps.
Were they afraid of... Aunt Mia?
