Beloved One of the Prestigious Household-Chapter 383: Family Members Don’t Profit Off Each Other
Qin Haochen spoke with an apologetic tone, though his expression remained calm. "I’m just helping the chairman secure more profits for our Qin Corporation."
Ye Rongyuan almost didn’t register the information. "Did your group change chairmen? Who’s the current chairman?"
"You know him," Qin Haochen replied respectfully. "Our group’s largest shareholder is now Chairman Qin Sui’an."
Ye Rongyuan: ???
Ann is now the largest chairman of Qin Corporation?
For a few seconds, Ye Rongyuan was in shock. He had guessed that the Qin family would transfer some shares of Qin Corporation to Ann, but he never expected it to be enough to make her the largest chairman.
In large groups like Qin Corporation and Ye Corporation, shares are divided into many portions. Even owning just 0.01% is worth millions. To be the largest shareholder in Qin Corporation, one would need to own more than half.
Ye Rongyuan’s mind was racing, and he stared incredulously at the man across from him. "Did you transfer all the shares to Ann?"
Qin Haochen didn’t find this shocking at all; he remained composed. "Yes."
Ye Rongyuan was stunned again for a few seconds, finally managing to recover from the news. "So now you’re just an employee?"
Without shares, what kind of CEO was he?
"Now Ann is employing me to work at Qin Corporation as the CEO," Qin Haochen said, appearing quite satisfied with his "new" position. He raised an eyebrow. "Are you questioning my capabilities, Mr. Ye?"
"Of course not. Who would dare question the CEO of Qin Corporation?" Ye Rongyuan wouldn’t dare challenge his brother-in-law, and out of respect for his sister, he wouldn’t either.
Once Ye Rongyuan understood the current share distribution within Qin Corporation, he quickly pieced things together. "So, Mr. Qin, you’re trying to make money for the new chairman, which is why you changed the profit-sharing structure in the contract with our Ye Corporation?"
"Securing greater benefits for the group is my duty," Qin Haochen replied with a slight smile.
With Ann involved, Ye Rongyuan’s original arguments evaporated, leaving him caught off guard.
He fell silent, going through the contract clauses carefully, word by word.
After reading through it all, he slowly closed the document and said earnestly, "Mr. Qin, to be honest, Ye Corporation also holds shares for Ann. I can’t let Ann lose money, right? Plus, there are my sister’s shares! If I give away this profit, both my sister and Ann will be at a loss! How can I allow that?"
While they wouldn’t actually lose money—just earn less—it still felt like a loss for businessmen like them.
Qin Haochen seemed moved, his expression thoughtful.
Ye Rongyuan pressed on, "Mr. Qin, the Ye and Qin families, along with Ye Corporation and Qin Corporation, are all one family. It’s not right to profit off each other. If you want to help Chairman Ann earn more, you should focus on making more profit from external collaborations." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Ye Rongyuan felt his argument was spot-on, wanting to give himself a round of applause.
A glimmer of amusement crossed Qin Haochen’s eyes, and he surprisingly agreed. "I will reconsider."
"What else is there to consider, brother-in-law? Just modify the contract according to our original profit-sharing agreement. I won’t take more from the Qin family, so you shouldn’t take extra from the Ye family either."
Ye Rongyuan grabbed a pen from the desk and crossed out the revised profit percentages in the contract, pushing it toward Qin Haochen.
Qin Haochen took the pen, glancing up at him. "Zhaosi mentioned you’re quite persuasive."
Mentioning his sister made Ye Rongyuan chuckle. "She’s right, but I’m not just good at talking—I can eat too."
Qin Haochen smiled slightly, making a note on the contract, then gestured for Ye Rongyuan to review it. "If this looks good, I’ll have He Yan send you the new contract tomorrow morning."
Ye Rongyuan confirmed, "No problem. We should do this as a family."
How could family members profit off each other? His brother-in-law nearly went off track, but thankfully, Ye Rongyuan brought him back to the right path in time.
As Ye Rongyuan watched him put the contract away, he added, "Oh right, brother-in-law, I’ll come to pick up Ann tomorrow morning. Ann said she want go to work with me. She hasn’t visited Ye Corporation yet, so I’ll take her to explore."
This was a notice, not a question.
Qin Haochen furrowed his brow slightly but didn’t outright refuse. He was just a bit concerned. "I’ll send a few bodyguards with you."
"That’s fine, but don’t send too many—two or three will suffice. I’ll bring a couple myself." Ye Rongyuan didn’t mind; they both had the same goal of ensuring Ann’s safety.
Qin Haochen checked the time. "Ann might sleep until eight. Should I send her details to you once she wakes up?"
Ye Rongyuan grinned, "I was actually planning to come over for breakfast tomorrow. You don’t mind, do you?"
