Chapter 158: Chapter 157

The grand banquet hall stretched out before them in a breathtaking display of wealth and elegance. Large crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling in cascading tiers, glittering like constellations. The light they cast shimmered across the polished marble floors and reflected off intricately detailed gold-leaf moldings along the arched ceilings.

Towering ice sculptures stood proudly at each corner of the room, carved into the forms of swans and roses, mist curling around their bases. Delicate music floated through the air, courtesy of a live quartet tucked beneath an archway, their instruments producing soft classical melodies that complimented the evening’s opulence. Servers moved gracefully between guests in crisp white uniforms, trays of champagne and hors d’oeuvres balanced perfectly in hand.

Everything gleamed.

Yet, nothing in that room shone quite like Hiro.

He was dressed in a perfectly tailored white suit that complemented the healthy flush of his rosy skin, he had a single red rose tucked into his breast pocket—a deliberate match to the crimson streaks in Raiden’s dark hair, making them look more like a couple. His sandy-brown hair had been artfully styled, soft strands falling over his forehead in a way that framed his glowing face.

Ever since Raiden had started taking care of him, Hiro had filled out ever so slightly, just enough to smooth the sharp angles of his face and make his body look fuller, more touchable. He looked clean, sweet, and elegant. Just so impossibly lovely and there was a warmth to him that made people turn their heads when he passed. His smile, genuine and soft, had a way of disarming even the most jaded guests.

He moved slowly beside Raiden, wide-eyed and awestruck as he took in everything. It had been so long since he had seen a party of this sort. Back then, his mother used to throw expensive parties just like this one to celebrate their birthdays and they always made the headlines because she made sure to invite all of their favourite famous people. It felt really nice to be at a similar party.

His fingers curled loosely around Raiden’s arm as they moved from place to place, taking in all the beautiful decorations. Hiro was like a curious butterfly in a garden of polished steel, his wonder radiating off him in quiet waves. His champange coloured eyes even had a new sort of sparkle.

Raiden followed with a soft smile tugging at the corners of his lips. Every now and then, someone would stop and greet them—old acquaintances, politicians, business partners and more. Raiden returned each greeting smoothly, his voice charming, respectful, and each time, without fail, he would add:

“This is Hiro. My boyfriend.”

Hiro flushed each time and tried to hide his face behind Raiden’s arm but Raiden would gently pull him forward and press a kiss to his cheek, or his forehead, or the tip of his nose, making him blush even more.

The listeners, especially the females, fawned over Hiro, marvelling at his beauty while the men tried to shake hands with Hiro but Raiden was always faster—his hand sliding out to intercept the gesture, forcing them to shake his instead. He didn’t allow Hiro to have any skin to skin contact with any male other than him.

However, he couldn’t stop some of them from staring at Hiro from afar. Especially a silver-haired man—clearly from old money—who couldn’t take his eyes off Hiro.

Hiro instantly tensed, shrinking closer to Raiden, pressing against his side like a startled kitten, seeking shelter in the one place that always felt safe. “T-They all keep staring...” he mumbled, feeling uncomfortable.

Raiden smiled. “That’s because you’re the most beautiful person in this entire room baby.” He said softly, tipping Hiro’s chin up gently with a finger, forcing him to look into his eyes. “And I’m here. No one can touch you. Remember that.”

Hiro’s face turned scarlet, his long lashes fluttering as he blinked up at Raiden with a mixture of shyness and awe.

And gods, Raiden wanted to devour him.

He had half the mind to take Hiro upstairs to his old room, strip him naked, tie his hands behind his back with his belt and fuck him senseless. The thought nearly made him groan aloud. He could already feel his pants getting tighter. They had slept together lots of times already but his desire for Hiro kept growing stronger. Whenever he looked into those fluttering eyes, he kept imagining the boy crying and writhing beneath him.

He took a deep breath and instead, pulled Hiro flush against his side and murmured close to his ear, “Come. Let’s get some food in you.”

Though what he truly wanted to fill Hiro with was far from anything served on a silver platter.

They made their way toward the long buffet table—a masterpiece in itself, stretching like a through the center of the hall. Every corner of the world seemed to be represented in the offerings: miniature soufflés puffed to golden perfection, rare cuts of beef marbled with glistening fat, delicately stacked sushi rolls arranged like floral art, glossy beads of caviar nestled in crystal bowls, and roasted vegetables glazed in honey and red wine. The dessert section was filled with different kinds of confection.

Hiro’s eyes widened as he took in the luxurious spread, but before he could even reach for a plate, Raiden had already picked one and began serving him.

Raiden didn’t ask what Hiro wanted. He didn’t need to because he already knew and Hiro smiled shyly, peeking up at Raiden through his lashes. He couldn’t help but feel happy and pleased. He also felt like a princess, being doted on by her handsome Prince. Raiden was so nice to him and it was times like this that made him want to do everything Raiden wanted.

Hiro watched as Raiden selected majority of the things he like to eat then using a pair of chopsticks, he picked a thin slice of barbacued meat and held it to Hiro’s lips. Hiro hesitated at first, after all, they were in public. At home, he would even sit on Raiden’s lap and be fed but here, he didn’t want to seem like a baby.

Raiden could already tell what Hiro was thinking so he kept the plate on an empty spot on the table, slid his arm around Hiro’s waist and pulled him flush against his side.

“If you do not eat,” he murmured against the shell of Hiro’s ear, his lips brushing the reddened skin slightly. “I’ll revoke your reward of cumming once a day. Do you want that?”
