Billionaire Legacy: I Became Overpowered With My Spending System-Chapter 115 - Fishman Gang And Sound Element!
Chapter 115: Chapter 115 - Fishman Gang And Sound Element!
Logan raised an eyebrow. ’Big ones?’
Squinting as he turned back to the sea, Logan saw two crabs the size of small buildings and three green fishmen as large as trucks.
’B-ranks?’ Logan thought, narrowing his eyes. ’No... that one’s stronger. That’s an A-rank.’
Seeing each mercenary group around him retreat, Logan chose to follow and observe how they planned to handle the creatures.
’I’m not even close to strong enough to beat A-ranks,’ he thought, gritting his teeth. ’If I’m lucky, I might be able to take out one B-rank if I go all out.’
Logan would’ve loved to go all out here and test his strength. He hated the powerless feeling sitting in his chest. freewёbnoνel.com
But even so, the rational part of his mind told him to fall back and observe.
’There would need to be at least two platinum cores to deal with the A-rank,’ he thought, glancing across the battlefield as he retreated.
Once back inside the mana barrier, Logan saw two military vans drive towards him at high speeds.
Before the vans even came to a full stop, two men and one woman burst out from the back, moving at speeds Logan couldn’t match—even with his advanced Flaming Body technique.
’The military,’ he thought, locking his gaze on the people.
As these three people dashed through the barrier, the other mercenary and military groups followed out again.
Two military squads followed behind the three Platinum Core fighters, each squad made up of six powerful Gold Cores.
’They are splitting the creatures up,’ Logan thought, watching the two groups lure away two B-ranks each.
At the same time, the mercenary groups started eliminating the creatures that had advanced while they were retreating.
Clenching his glaive tightly, Logan spotted a group of four C-rank fishmen only around 200 feet away from the barrier.
’I shouldn’t sit around and watch any longer,’ he thought, determination flashing past his eyes.
Logan didn’t hesitate any longer, dashing out of the city’s barrier towards the group of fishmen.
The fishmen creatures noticed him immediately, raising crude spears towards him.
One of the fishmen let out a piercing screech that made his ears ring.
As the sound wave hit him, sharp pain shot through his head—like his brain was being stabbed from the inside.
’Shit,’ Logan thought, dazed. ’Sound element.’
Two other fishmen took advantage of Logan’s confusion, gathering water at the tips of their spears before launching it at him.
Two swirling beams of water tore through the air, aiming right at his chest.
Logan gritted his teeth, ears still ringing from the screech, and forced his body to move.
One of the beams barely scraped past his sleeve, obliterating it upon impact.
His eyes widened slightly as he watched the final fishman spit out a gunk of green liquid towards him.
Logan didn’t hesitate, instantly casting his Bone Wall technique.
A large bone wall rose from the ground just in time. A second later, the green liquid slammed into it, melting through most of the structure.
Logan frowned, immediately jumping away from the wall as two more water jets crashed into it.
As the wall crumbled behind him, Logan dashed towards the first fishman with his hands clenched tightly around his glaive.
While he ran, he created one large bone spike, letting it spin wildly in the air.
Logan pointed at the sound-type fishman and launched the bone spike, sparking streaks trailing behind it as it shot through the air.
At the same time, he’d reached one of the two water fishmen.
Pouring fire mana into his glaive until the flame on its edge turned yellow, he jumped up and swung it down, sending a massive flaming arc through the air.
The flaming arc hit the fishman within a second, melting through its body and slicing it clean in two.
At the same time, the bone spike he’d sent flying earlier exploded into fragments as the fishman’s concentrated sound beam ripped through it.
’That one is a problem,’ Logan thought, narrowing his eyes.
As he landed on the ground, Logan immediately dashed towards the sound element fishman, jumping over several water beams as he ran.
Grabbing hold of his glaive firmly, Logan jumped up, his glaive leaving a flaming trail in the air.
The sound element fishman had just opened its mouth to release a concentrated sound beam towards him.
But it was already too late.
Logan sliced through a large chunk of its neck with his glaive.
The fishman fell back, shrieking as it clutched its neck—only making it easier for Logan’s phoenix fire to consume it.
Quickly jumping aside, an acid shot landed on the place he’d been standing.
Raising his hand toward the poison fishman, large dark chains rose from the ground, wrapping tightly around its body.
Watching the poison fishman form a large green mass inside its mouth, Logan pulled his arm holding his glaive back.
Then, he hurled his glaive towards the fishman with all his might.
His glaive soared through the sky, penetrating the fishman deep inside its skull.
The green gunk hit the ground, melting through both the chains and its own body in seconds.
Logan looked at it in disgust, before turning to the final fishman.
The final fishman looked around in confusion, seeing all its allies die in such a short time.
Fear flickered in its eyes as Logan’s body lit up in a glowing red color.
Logan lunged forward with his Flaming Body technique active—this time, a thick red flame wrapped tightly around his fist.
As the fishman looked at him with horror in its eyes, Logan’s punch connected, melting a fist-shaped hole straight through its head.
Landing on the ground, Logan deactivated his Flaming Body technique while staring at his fist in amazement.
’The second stage is insanely strong,’ he thought, staring at the gaping hole in the fishman’s head. ’It’s like my fist itself became as strong as my glaive.’
Logan looked around at the four C-rank corpses with a smile, very satisfied with the progress he’d made so far.
It was only his first day here, and he’d already pushed most of his techniques in live combat—not to mention, he’d discovered a weakness to work on: the sound element.
’I can’t wait for more of this,’ he thought, glancing at the battlefield.
