Billionaire's Pleasure-Chapter 129: Looking Up
Raymond felt hatred for himself as he watched her leave, both because he had touched her and because he had loved her, as well as for everything in between. Because he had never intended for her to be hurt, the act of injuring her was the thing that he loathed the most. It had been too much for him, and as a result, he had effectively drawn her closer to himself. He had promised himself that he would not even bring it and that he would not say or do anything that would let her know he was offended by what she had done.
Even though there had been no intention to touch her in the first place, this plan was quickly scrapped. She had uttered those words to him and defended him in front of her paternal grandfather. After seeing her in that state, he found himself feeling more attracted to her than he ever had before. He felt for her more than he could ever tell her and more than he could possibly manage at the same time. He poured himself a glass and began sipping the amber liquid while he reflected on the fact that she was present in the room with him. He couldn’t help but feel as though she emanated a warmth and radiance that tore through him like a flame each time he saw her. He must have been there for over an hour, completely engrossed in his own thoughts. He had been the one to touch her first, and now he longed to do so once again as the very last thing. He was also aware of the facts that he was a coward and that he was not made for commitment. That was more his style: carefully selecting a small group of women with whom to have fun. At least in the past, Sia had walked into his life on a night that he was completely unprepared for. Sia had entered his life on a night that he had not anticipated. He was conscious that the first things he needed to do were to make things right with Jason and to do all in his power to explain what had happened. After that, he would talk to her and explain to her why he was unable to help her in any other way.
After having an idea, he grinned to himself as he quickly contacted the number he had discovered in the file earlier. After he completed what he was doing there, he smiled to himself as he exited the building. He made his way to Jason’s house, well aware that she might be there and even hoping that she might be there, with the expectation that she might be able to make him feel better if she was there. She became aware that she was safe. He was able to recall that the steps leading up to the door were among the most challenging he had ever faced. After two knocks, he waited before continuing.
The door opened on its own all of a sudden. The question that was posed to Ray was, "What do you want, haven’t you done enough?"
"I understand your wrath Jason, for less, I’d slaughter you. Please give us the opportunity to talk." Jason moved out of the way so that he could enter the entryway of the house. He looked around the surroundings in a hurry. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
"Why are you hunting for her when she has already left?"
He strained his eyes. "What do you mean, she went somewhere else?" I asked. "What exactly is going on?"
Jason whimpered under his breath as he prepared a cup of coffee for himself. "I presume she is going back to live with her mother. You are to blame for her location, regardless of where she winds up. She was in good health up until this afternoon, at which time she gathered her possessions, packed them in her car, and departed. She left this afternoon when she was still in good health."
"Bless you!" He stood up once more and started thinking about how he could find her in a hurry.
"What exactly occurred with her mother? Jason, please take my words to heart; this is of the utmost importance."
"Why on earth would I say something like that to you?"
Raymond was able to settle his nerves by taking a deep breath. "Jason, you are quite correct; I do need to offer my apologies. When I first met her, everything was a complete and utter disaster. On the day that she arrived, I had no prior knowledge of who she was."
"Why did you let her fall in love with you, being the player that you are, and why didn’t you stop it? Why did you allow her to fall in love with you? Just a few months ago, employees were quitting their jobs at an alarming rate because of you."
The reality was in front of him, out in the open, and he could feel the anger rising within him.
"Jason, you are correct, however she does not behave in the same manner."
Jason had a good laugh. "Why? Because she is brand new, she is still young, and she is current."
"I admire her, Jason."
Both of them came to a halt, surprised in their own particular ways. Before slouching down in the chair at the kitchen table, Jason took a huge gulp from the glass that was conveniently located nearby. The identical thing happened to Ray, except he used the glass that Jason had given him to pour a drink for himself. While thinking about her and what would happen after he found her, he took several sips from his drink.
"In case you had any doubts about it before, she has feelings for you as well."
"Jason, I’m at a loss for what to do in this situation. Simply put, my feelings for her make it imperative that I am present. It is my intention to keep her safe, but after that, I am completely at a loss for what to do."
"You have little choice but to break the news to her at this point."
After that, he gave Jason a troubled look as the latter looked up at him. "Due to the fact that she adores you, she would perish if your decision was not accepted."
Jason let out a loud groan. "You should know that I believe, in retrospect, that I would have done whatever possible to ensure her safety after she left. That is a facet of parenthood that will require you to make some adjustments in the future. After that, I realized that she required something that was larger and more substantial. I was no longer the man she had a relationship with."
He drank something. "She is currently staying at the Grey Hotel, which is located in the city. She is going to pay her mother a visit tomorrow, where she lives. It was necessary for her to have a place to contemplate." The moment Ray set the keys down on the table, Ray sprang to his feet and snatched them up. After a moment’s pause, he got up and started walking away.
