Billionaire's Unforgettable Ex-Wife-Chapter 890 - 556: The Mastermind Revealed
"Besides, I just moved in today, and I haven’t finished unpacking yet."
"Never mind then; I’ll send you the address later. Don’t overthink it, it’s time for you to rest. Get some sleep early."
Henry Sullivan actually wanted to chat with her a bit longer, but given the current situation, with her already busy taking care of the child herself, it was better to let her sleep more.
"Ivy, even though you’ve decided to divorce me, I still want to remind you to go to bed early. Staying up late is bad for your skin, you know?"
Ivy Miller chuckled and nodded, "Alright, Uncle, stop nagging. I’m not a kid anymore, so I’m hanging up now."
After a moment of silence between them, Ivy Miller ended the call first. Hearing the busy tone from the other end, Henry Sullivan clenched his fist quietly, "Ivy, give me a little more time, and I’ll give you a different kind of home."
The next morning, Ivy Miller asked the nanny to take care of White Rice, and she went to the supermarket to stock up things for the ’new home.’
She was gone for a while, and when she entered, she realized Henry Sullivan was already there.
They hadn’t seen each other for days, and seeing him suddenly, Ivy Miller was a bit stunned for a moment.
It wasn’t until Henry Sullivan smiled at her that she snapped back to her senses and pursed her lips, "Why did you come so early?"
The nanny chimed in from the side, "How could a dad not rush home to see his kid? Ivy, you chat with the Commander, and I’ll make you lunch."
The nanny cheerfully took the stuff into the kitchen, and Henry Sullivan laughed, "Seems like the nanny is happier than you."
"I’m not unhappy, just didn’t expect you to come so early."
Henry Sullivan took out car keys and placed them on the coffee table, "From now on, you should drive this car."
"It’s not necessary. I don’t really go out much."
"Still, having a car is convenient. Plus, I bought a new one.
You said you disliked breaking in a new car, so I’ll drive the new one, and you can drive the Audi.
I’ve already had a child seat installed, so it will be more convenient in the future."
Ivy Miller initially wanted to refuse, but Henry Sullivan said somewhat unhappily, "What’s wrong, you don’t even want to drive my car now?"
"Of course not," she picked up the car keys casually, "I’ll take the car since you have a new one, no need to be polite with you."
"Is there anything else missing at home? I’ll buy them for you later."
Ivy Miller shook her head, "No need, you know I live casually.
I can’t think of anything missing right now, but I’ll buy it on a whim when I remember.
Look, White Rice hasn’t seen you for days and is still clinging to you."
Henry Sullivan carried White Rice and walked around the room a few times, his eyes fixed on White Rice.
This was his daughter, and how he wished he could see her every day.
Seeing Henry Sullivan’s gaze, Ivy Miller felt uncomfortable inside too.
"Uncle."
"Yes."
"You really don’t plan on going back to the army?"
"I’ve already submitted the request, so of course it’s true. Otherwise, what would be the point? The army isn’t a place to joke around," he said, giving her a bitter smile.
"After this 20-day vacation, I’ll go back to the army for a few days, and the procedures should be completed."
"But don’t you think you’re sacrificing too much? I just can’t understand, it seems foolish what you’re doing now."
Henry Sullivan smiled faintly, "Every sacrifice is worth it."
Ivy Miller pouted and sat down on the sofa, picking up an apple to eat, "Sometimes I really don’t know what you’re thinking.
In the future, don’t regret it, and don’t say you changed careers because of me when you do.
Because I won’t admit to it."
"It wasn’t because of you in the first place; it was my own decision, don’t worry."
Ivy Miller raised her eyebrows and didn’t say much more. After the meal, Henry Sullivan still had no intention of leaving. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
She hesitated about whether she should let him go or not.
If she spoke up, Henry would surely think she was trying to drive him away, right?
But if she didn’t say anything, what if he decided not to leave tonight?
Should she ask him to stay or not?
Around three o’clock, Henry Sullivan finally got up to leave.
Ivy Miller pursed her lips, "Then I won’t see you off. You can leave on your own later."
Henry Sullivan seemed like he wanted to say something but stopped himself. Ivy Miller had intended to walk him to the door, but just then, her phone rang. Seeing it was Everly Lewis calling, she waved at Henry, "I need to take a call."
"Go ahead," Henry Sullivan lifted White Rice and gave her a few kisses, his eyes landing on Ivy Miller.
"Officer, what’s up?"
"I wanted to tell you that my brother finally found the IP you asked me to trace. It’s from the Municipal Secretary’s Residence. When did you get into a conflict with the Municipal Secretary?"
Ivy Miller was taken aback, "The Municipal Secretary’s Residence?" Isn’t that Florence Wilder’s place? Could it be that the photo was taken by Florence?
"Ivy, why are you quiet all of a sudden?"
"You must be mistaken, right?"
"How could this be wrong? It’s definitely not wrong. You should think about whether you offended someone at some point."
Ivy Miller laughed, "The way you say it, do I offend people every day for fun?
Anyway, it’s fine now that you’ve helped me find this out. I’ll handle the rest myself."
"Okay, sure, we should find some time to visit Chloe Wilder’s house together. I want to see her little kid again."
"Sure, just give me a call. I’m available anytime.
But it would be best to wait until Chloe is out of confinement."
"Alright, I’ll set a date, call me if you need anything."
"Okay," after hanging up, Ivy Miller looked at Henry Sullivan and pressed her lips.
Henry Sullivan looked at her, "Was that your friend? Did something happen?"
"Earlier, I asked someone to track down the IP of the post on the company forum about me and Robert Weston going to the hotel. It turned out to be from the Municipal Secretary’s Residence, which is definitely Florence Wilder’s, right?"
