Birthing Legends: My Womb Creates SSS Monsters-Chapter 55: I Have to Fight My Own Son — Part 3.
The golden light devoured the black lightning, erupting outward in a colossal, blinding pillar of pure, purified energy. The force was astronomical. Arach, caught in the epicenter, was lifted off his feet despite his Seismic Anchor.
Maddy watched as her eldest was launched like a cannonball, taking a deep breath and letting her muscles relax, as if they had been wound tight and were about to cramp.
"Whoa... that really sent him flying. I guess he didn’t see my Shiny Shield... Gosh, I love this skill! Just like when I threw that Queen Spider. Looks like it works just as well with spiders!"
Arach’s massive frame tore through the wall, making Maddy scream.
"NO! I... I got too excited fighting him... I didn’t hold back! My whole home—"
But the impact only shook the house; nothing crumbled. Maddy blinked in surprise.
"That impact... it should have pierced right through the stone. How is the wall still standing?"
As the dust settled, she saw it. A sprawling, reinforced lattice of webbing had spread across the chamber like a high-tech safety net. Forged from a cocktail of Mineral, Spider, Demonic Ogre, and Mineral Worm traits, the web had acted as a shock absorber, anchoring the castle’s foundation and catching Arach before he could demolish the structure.
Arach slumped to his knees, one of his six arms bracing his trembling weight. His chest heaved as he looked around the still intact room.
"Good... I stopped our home from being destroyed..."
He lifted his gaze to Maddy, who stood staring at the reinforced webs in open awe.
"I... am defeated, Mother. Y-you are... formidable. Truly amazing..."
Maddy looked at him.
"You... you crazy, brilliant boy. You didn’t just fight; you anchored the entire room with your silk while you were losing. You were protecting the house even while I was trying to blast you through it!"
Sephiran sprinted across the scorched stone floor with his War Bat waving wildly. He skidded to a stop in front of Arach, looking up at the towering, six armed giant with stars in his eyes.
"BROTHER! THAT WAS SO COOL! The black lightning! The six arms! And you caught Mother’s explosion with a giant spider net!"
Arach looked down at the smaller Ogre boy, his six eyes blinking slowly in weary succession. He coughed, a small puff of dark smoke escaping his lips, then offered a weak, humble smile.
"B-Brother? You are... my brother? I have a brother?"
Maddy finally pulled her legs free from the bedrock and walked over to them.
"Yes, Arach. This is your little brother. You must protect him at all costs."
Sephiran lifted his chin proudly and grinned up at Arach. Arach stared at him for a long moment, studying the smaller figure carefully.
"Yes, Mother. I shall protect him at all costs. My brother is yours. And everything that belongs to you... will be kept safe by my hand."
Maddy;s expression softening into pure maternal pride. She reached up and placed a hand on Arach’s shoulder, her touch warm and healing.
"Arach, you are the greatest protector our family will ever have. I am so proud of you. You didn’t just survive an attack that would have vaporized any ordinary monster—you countered it, stabilized our home, and showed tactical genius. You weren’t fighting just to win, my son... you were fighting to protect. I love you."
Arach’s head bowed low, his four extra arms folding neatly behind his back in a gesture of deep respect.
"To receive such praise from you, Mother... is the greatest honor I could ask for. I swear to you—I will grow even stronger. I will become the shield that never breaks. I will ensure our family is always, always safe. I love you too, Mother."
Sephiran jumped onto one of Arach’s secondary arms, clinging to the spider fur like it was a carnival ride.
"And I’ll be the one who swings at anyone who tries to fight you or Mother! I’ll protect you too, big brother!"
Maddy smiled softly.
"We will protect each other. That’s what family is for..."
A sudden, loud growl interrupted them. It came from Arach’s stomach. He froze, eyes widening as he pressed a hand against his abdomen.
"W-What is that? Did Mother’s attack do something to my stomach? Why is it making that sound?"
Maddy giggled.
"No, son. It just means all that fighting made you hungry."
Sephiran jumped down from Arach’s fur and threw his arms into the air.
"Me too! I’m STARVING! Come on, big brother! You were just born—you have to be hungry! We’ve got dinosaur waiting!" 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Maddy laughed, the tension finally breaking as she looked at her two boys—one a tiny, energetic rascal, the other a polite yet terrifying titan.
"He’s right. Training is over. The house is still standing. And the Dire Drake’s meat is waiting to be shared."
She turned toward the kitchen, her eyes flashing with renewed hunger.
"Let’s go, boys. Today, we don’t just eat—we feast! Sephiran, assist your brother. He’s still recovering."
"Yes, Mother!"
Sephiran rushed forward, preparing to lift his titanic brother with exaggerated effort but Arach simply scooped him up instead and placed him gently atop his broad, shoulders.
"You do not need to worry about me, Sephi. I can heal myself."
Sephiran blinked in shock, suddenly six feet higher than he had been a second ago. He clung to Arach’s neck fur like a rider atop a massive, six armed giraffe.
"S-Sephi?!"
He let out a breathless laugh.
"Sephi... yeah! I like that! Big brother, you’re totally huge! This is awesome—it’s like I’m riding that Dire Drake! Whoooo! Giddy up, Big Brother!"
The two headed toward the exit, Arach walking with a steady, careful gait to ensure his "rider" didn’t slip, while Sephiran swayed and cheered. Their voices echoed through the halls as Sephiran excitedly told him how he and Mother had prepared a feast for his arrival.
Maddy trailed behind them, a faint, weary smile resting on her lips as she watched her sons. Her heart felt fuller than it ever had.
"This is the best view I could hope for... Please, God or whoever brought me here, I pray this never ends..."
She watched Sephiran stretch his arms up, laughing as he brushed his fingertips against the high stalactites of the ceiling, propelled by Arach’s effortless strength.
Then she blinked.
"Oh—right. I never actually appraised Arach... I only judged him through combat. Let’s see what I’ve actually created... APPRAISE.
Her vision sharpened. The world shifted into a grid of flowing data. Blue windows flickered in front of her, scrolling so fast it made her dizzy.
She began to read, eyes racing across the glowing text.
"W-What?!"
