Bizarre Realm-Chapter 340 - 15: Seven Deadly Sins! Devil Law!_3
Mind Demon Seed?
Shawn thought of a terrifying spell.
This spell resembles the Dao Heart Demon Seed in some ways, using others to supplement one’s own missing parts, yet remaining untouched by the cause and effect.
"I can give it a try."
"Plant the Mind Demon Seed in specific targets, then use the abilities from the Mind Path to secretly control them, letting them complete the trials of the Demon Realm for me."
"If that’s the case, I’ll need to prepare a batch of Extraordinary Relics for planting the demon seeds in advance."
Shawn simultaneously possessed both the power of Arcane Magic and the Mind Path; he had many methods he could choose from.
A day’s time quickly passed.
Shawn first arranged his daily life with the highest standards, one could even say extremely luxurious and wasteful, yet the Law of the Demon Realm remained unmoved, with no progress in understanding the concept of gluttony.
This meant his previous understanding was wrong; he couldn’t grasp the original sin of ’gluttony’ through indulging in a life of lavish excess. Something must have gone wrong; his impersonation method had hit a bottleneck.
That night, Shawn arranged for more than ten beautiful maids to serve him, which was an experience of debauchery and indulgence he previously dared not even imagine; yet the result was disappointing, as the original sin of lust remained unmoved.
"Where on earth did I go wrong?"
Shawn could confirm his theory was correct, but in practice, he gained nothing; he had made no progress in digesting the Demon Realm.
This situation persisted until the third day when there was a change.
Shawn was invited to attend a banquet prepared by the aristocrats of Dusk Town. It was in a secluded manor villa, and as the obsequious servants opened the door, Shawn saw an extravagant scene of indulgence. Under the hanging crystal chandeliers, the dining table was laden with rich foods, and whether flying in the sky, running on the ground, or swimming in the water, they exhausted human culinary pursuits. To ordinary people, the delicious dishes they longed for were just casually placed decorations, for no one’s attention was really on these gourmet foods and wines.
On the way to the banquet, Shawn also saw a group of ragged, starving poor people—a real "rich mans’ feasts reek while bones freeze in the roads."
In that moment, he suddenly felt something in his heart.
Dozens of scantily clad beautiful women moved through the banquet, each wearing a variety of peculiar masks. Some were adorned with butterfly decorations, some with feathers, and some with strange patterns. Their exposed, snow-white skin gleamed with alluring lustre under the lights and candle flames, and their ample breasts quivered slightly, adorned with just a hint of decoration at key parts. Around their fair, slender necks, they wore what seemed like slave-marking golden collars.
They were also a part of this lavish banquet.
In this town with just tens of thousands of people, Shawn could scarcely imagine the extent of the corruption and decadence of the Guardian Clan of the Dagon Region.
Shawn slowly walked to the centre of the hall, picked up a glass of red wine, and expressionlessly drank it all. His identity as Daniel Achi’s deputy was unknown to everyone here, even though he was the mastermind behind reshuffling the forces of Dusk Town. They only rejoiced over getting a bigger slice of the cake, using this lavish banquet to connect with more newly wealthy people while showcasing their own financial strength.
Faintly came the sound of suppressed feminine moans from the corridor on the second floor.
The obviously older, more senior power-holders were quietly discussing future collaborations and distribution of interests, while the younger guests were picking their favourite maids and leading them to a room on the second floor.
In this debauched banquet, there were even some women clearly dressed as noblewomen without slave collars wandering around. They were elegantly dressed, jewel-clad, unfazed by everything around them, subtly revealing a hint of licentiousness in their seemingly reserved actions.
They were higher-class socialites, perhaps widows of some dignitary, or perhaps family members of merchants seeking to associate with the powerful.
This is reality.
The decay of Dagon was more severe than Shawn had imagined. The intertwined interests of this land had long formed a giant net, trapping everyone within it. Even though Shawn’s abilities far exceeded those of others, he couldn’t change anything unless he purged everything and physically eliminated these parasites.
Shawn downed his drink and suddenly smiled.
Gluttony was digesting.
Lust was digesting.
Greed was digesting. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Though the digestion progress wasn’t obvious, it was much faster than his own attempts.
He now somewhat understood how he should digest the Law Power of the Devil!
So, he really had gone astray before.
He was training in the mortal world, and shutting himself away would not work; he needed to see the myriad forms of life, to observe the world’s sordid evils. It was wishful thinking to believe indulging in lust would digest the original sin of lust; this was a form of cognitive arrogance.
He was merely an impersonator, forever unable to truly integrate into it. No matter how hard he tried to play the role, he was always just a tiny bit short. The true key to breakthrough lay in these original inhabitants, for they were the ones in the game.
Shawn’s true path was as an Observer; he needed to view all the original sins of the world from a spectator’s angle, and with a cynical attitude, consolidate the Laws of the Demon Realm!
Because he was now Aemon.
He couldn’t wait to find out just how depraved the Guardian Clan of Dagon truly was.
Without confronting the deepest original sins of darkness, he would never grasp the Demon Realm.
If he could obtain the original sin Laws of the Seven Deadly Sins, perhaps he could gain a portion of Asmodeus’s Devil authority!
