[BL] Mr. Romano Contracted Husband-Chapter 116: Those Who Are Not Interested Can Leave
Upon returning home, Arcane and Julian immediately tidied up the house and cleaned it thoroughly after nearly a month of vacancy. They had been staying at Donald’s house while he was in a coma.
After cleaning the entire house, Arcane walked out of their room to look for his husband. But it turned out that he was not in the living room or the kitchen. Realizing that Julian was not there, he thought of a room near their bedroom.
As soon as he went to that room, he found Julian there. In his old room, which had now been specially decorated for Luna. Unfortunately, they failed to obtain custody of the child.
The room, which had been decorated so beautifully, was now untouched and unused because they had failed to bring Luna home.
"I was hoping that this room could be used for playing and that she could have her own room. She would have been so happy," said Julian.
"We can try again another time. I’m sure in one or two years, after the previous issues have been forgotten, we can try adopting from another adoption agency," said Arcane, putting his arm around Julian’s shoulder.
"It’s okay. There’s no need to rush. Maybe for now, the universe told us that we aren’t ready yet for us to be parents. That’s why we weren’t allowed to adopt Luna."
Arcane knew that Julian was just trying to cheer himself up and understand how the world worked. Although he still felt sad for him, Arcane knew he had to stay strong for Julian.
Days went by as usual, with Arcane going to work and Julian staying at home. Occasionally, he was still asked to babysit his neighbors’ children.
Sometimes he also spent time with Sofia, playing at their house. Arcane felt that it was much better to keep Julian busy so that he wouldn’t continue to feel sad about their failure to adopt a child.
"Why don’t you try to hire a surrogate mother? Most couples like you hire a woman to carry their child. Then after the child is born, she will give it to you and the child will have both of your genes," said one of the neighbors who gave Julian advice.
At first, he thought it was a good idea, but Julian rejected it because not only was it more expensive, but it was also better to just adopt a baby.
"There are many children out there who need parents. As long as Arcane and I can be one of their parents, it’s better for us to just adopt," he replied.
Because according to him, there were many children waiting for couples who were willing to adopt them.
Three months after the terrible tragedy involving Alina, they received news that the woman had been tried and sentenced to a very long prison term. She was sentenced to nearly 60 years in prison for the multiple crimes she had committed. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
"If she had succeeded in killing Arcane, she would have been sentenced to life in prison or the death penalty," Donald explained to them.
He himself did not want this to happen, but he also could not let Alina go free because he was sure she would do something like this again.
So he had no choice but to keep his own wife in prison. He even intended to file for divorce and take custody of their children with him.
He was very confident that he would win custody, considering that Alina was in prison and had a dangerous track record.
"However, I still need to think this through first. Especially since I have to explain to Stefano and Sofia what has happened," he continued.
"It will be very difficult to explain this to them, especially knowing the reality that their mother is in prison." Arcane agreed with the plan, though there were still many considerations to be made.
The most worrying thing for Julian was Stefano and Sofia’s social life. He was concerned that they would be bullied because they knew their mother was in prison. They needed to be monitored more closely after this incident.
"I’m just worried that they will be bullied at school. So maybe you should try to get closer to them to find out what happens at school while we’re not around," he said.
Donald understood this, as he was also a teacher and principal. So he knew that something like this would inevitably happen to his two children sooner or later.
"I’ll try to make sure everything will be okay. I’ll ask them not to think too much about this and just focus on their school."
"If you need help with that, Julian and I are willing to help you," Arcane said to his father as he put his arm around his husband’s shoulder.
The middle-aged man thanked them. He also told them about Freya’s current situation. He heard from her father that the girl had been sent abroad because no school would accept her where they currently lived.
"I’m sure he did that to clear his family’s name because no one there would know about her reputation," he explained.
Hearing the good news, they felt so relieved because finally the bad diamonds that had been on them were in their respective places. Alina was in prison while Freya was abroad.
Even though people with bad intentions like that were everywhere.
When they were about to leave the courthouse, Julian’s cell phone rang, and he immediately answered it without looking to see who was calling.
"Hello, is this Mr. Julian Thorne?" asked someone on the other end of the line.
"Yes, this is me. What’s up?" he replied.
Arcane, who was about to get into the car, immediately turned his head when he saw his husband receiving a call from someone he didn’t know.
Julian’s expression turned serious as he listened to the call. He immediately turned to Arcane with eyes as deep as a well, as if he had just heard shocking news.
"What’s wrong? Something happened?" he ask concern when he looks at him.
"Arcane... This call is..."
