[BL] Mr. Romano Contracted Husband-Chapter 93: A Long Time To Wait
Since they had chosen Luna to be their adopted child, Sandra allowed Julian and Arcane to get to know Luna better.
They were allowed to take Luna to play in the adoption center’s park. Finally, the three of them went to the park there and sat down together.
Julian, who had brought some snacks with him, tried to offer them to her.
"Do you like Pocky? I have strawberry flavored Pocky," he said as he opened the package.
With her small hands, Luna grabbed the Pocky and tried to eat it. As soon as she bit into the stick shaped biscuit, her blue eyes immediately lit up as if she was really enjoying it.
"How is it, do you like it?" he asked again, to which she nodded her head.
"It tastes good! It’s my first time trying it. Can I have some more?" she asked shyly.
Without further ado, Julian gave her a pack of strawberry flavored Pocky. He let Luna enjoy the snack. While watching her eat, Julian rubbed Luna’s head and tried to make a connection between them.
Arcane also tried to connect with the girl. He fed her a piece of Pocky, which she immediately ate. She smiled happily as she looked at Arcane. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
Playtime continued with Julian showing Luna his drawing skills. Luna was amazed by his drawings. Especially since Julian drew a rabbit, something she loved.
"The rabbit is so cute. Can you draw other things too?" she asked innocently.
"Of course I can. I can draw anything you want, and you have to help me color it."
Luna finally agreed and helped Julian color his drawings.
In addition to drawing, she also learned a little about counting from Arcane. Using the snacks they had, they counted each piece of candy one by one. Luna seemed to learn counting very quickly. She had even started to be able to do simple addition.
"Two plus one? Umn... One... Two..." She tried to count with her fingers, then showed Arcane three fingers.
"Three!" She answered enthusiastically, and was immediately praised with applause by the two men who would become her parents.
"You’re learning very well. I’m proud of you," said Arcane, stroking Luna’s hair, feeling so proud even though it was a very small thing to do.
However, for the little girl, it seemed like an extraordinary thing.
"When Luna grows up, what do you want to be?" Julian asked her. Although it was still too early to ask that question, there was no harm in asking it.
Luna paused for a moment, thinking about how to answer because she didn’t know much. Innocently, she replied that she wanted to be a doll.
"A doll?" Arcane asked in confusion. "Why do you want to be a doll, Luna?"
"Because dolls are always loved! They are always kissed and hugged. I want to be a doll." She answered the question with a truly innocent answer, but one that was quite painful.
She may not have understood the meaning behind it, but adults would surely understand what Luna really wanted. She wanted the affection, kisses, and hugs that dolls received.
All this happened because she didn’t have parents who did those things for her. That’s why she answered that way.
Arcane and Julian exchanged glances, feeling so sorry for her. This made them certain they wanted to adopt her.
"If someone gives you the love you need. Can hug you and kiss you anytime, would you accept us? We are willing to do that for you," said Julian, holding her hand.
"Really?" asked Luna, looking so happy when she heard that.
"Yes, we want to adopt you if you don’t mind. We are not perfect parents. But—"
Before Julian could finish his sentence, the girl immediately hugged him tightly. She said she was very happy that they wanted to be her parents.
"I’m very happy. Thank you," she said several times.
"Yes, we’re happy too." Arcane knelt down and gently stroked her head. Julian returned her hug and kissed her forehead softly.
They had found the person they were looking for. Now they just had to figure out how to take her home.
Before they knew it, they had been playing for quite a while, and it was already 3:40 p.m. Luna looked sleepy, almost falling asleep in Julian’s lap. Even so, they felt they couldn’t go home yet because they still wanted to be with her.
Unfortunately, they couldn’t take Luna home with them right away because the adoption agency hadn’t yet obtained all the necessary documents.
"As I said, it will take two to three months before you can take Luna home. So she will stay here until we have all the paperwork ready," Sandra told them.
With a heavy heart, they handed Luna back to Sandra and left the place.
"We’ll come back, we promise we’ll come see you and take you home once everything is settled," Julian whispered as he kissed her forehead.
The Arcane Hand gently stroked Luna’s cheek so she wouldn’t wake up, then let the girl return to the hands of the adoption center owner.
On the way home, Julian looked at the photo of the three of them with Luna. He hoped the adoption process would be completed soon so they could bring her home with them.
"Don’t worry, I’m sure we’ll be able to adopt Luna. They just need to do a little background check on us, and everything will be settled," said Arcane, trying to comfort him.
They were very confident they would win Luna and be able to take her home. It would only take another 2 to 3 months for the process to be completed. And during that time, they could save money to prepare a beautiful room for her.
"I want to decorate this room myself, is that okay?" Julian looked around the unused room.
"Of course. I’ll let you do it. I’m sure you know what to do."
The room that had once been Julian’s was transformed into a room for Luna. Over the course of a month, he decorated it into a beautiful and suitable space for her.
"I hope she’ll like it."
