Chapter 442: A proud dragon and a hissy vampire

Cass found himself in a new set of pajamas since his last set had been dirtied, somehow. He was dazed, rewashed by the large but careful hands of Lucian, and he was sitting on the sofa again. He was kind of slumped against Lucian’s shoulder and the edge of the sofa.

He could feel how warm his face felt, along with how loose and relaxed his body was. Lucian was chuckling, reaching over to cup Cass’ cheek.

"You can go to bed, sweetness. You don’t need to remain awake." His voice was soft, tender, but Cass was resistant. Partially because he said he was going to study, and damnit, he wanted to. Even if he couldn’t really raise his arms right now and the thick, heavy book sat in his lap like a damn weight.

He also felt guilty. If he went to bed before Edgar got back, it would be up to Lucian to explain everything that happened and Cass was sure he would brag. There was no doubt in his mind that the other man would and Cass didn’t want to deal with a sulky Edgar two days in a row.

He had a feeling that his desire to tease him would rise again, and look where that had gotten him today? The bite mark throbbed and Cass shifted on his ass slightly. Yeah. He was glad that Edgar was well fed, but Cass was also well taken care of.

Cass’ cheeks warmed.

"I should do more reading." Cass said, unmoving. The book remained closed in his lap and his arms stayed at his side. Lucian scanned him, his eyes dancing as he did so. The smile on his lips was kind, but Cass could see the glint in his eyes.

"I see." Lucian said. He didn’t make a comment on how Cass wasn’t moving to read at all, and instead chuckled to himself quietly.

Cass wasn’t sure how long he sat there in daze before there was a knock on the door. He felt his body shift, before Edgar pushed open the door tentatively. He scanned the room, his eyes catching on Lucian and Cass for a moment before he continued scanning. He then turned back towards Cass and Lucian, closing the door behind him as he approached.

"How has the reading been going?" Edgar asked, and Cass wanted to flinch. Yeah, they had done soooo much reading.

"We got to vampires." Lucian told him, not telling him the full truth. Edgar, however, was focusing his gaze on Cass. His brow was slightly furrowed, like he could tell that something wasn’t quite right. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

"That’s...good. Learn anything new?" Edgar asked and Lucian chuckled.

"Well, someone else was a little thirsty so we took a break." Lucian said. Cass watched as Edgar’s gaze widened slightly, before a darker look crossed his face.

"Without me?" He accused and Lucian snorted. He looked at Edgar, scanning him up and down before he smirked.

"You didn’t ask for my permission to have fun with Cass in the carriage, so why should I ask your permission to have fun with Cass in his own bedroom?" Lucian countered and Edgar’s expression hardened. His eyes when he looked at Cass were torn, hurt. Cass flinched.

"I...don’t have any excuses." Cass muttered but it was Edgar who ran his hand over his face, shaking his head.

"I’m not blaming you, Cass." Edgar murmured. "Lucy is more at fault than you are." Cass couldn’t understand his logic. What was that supposed to mean? Even in Cass’ dazed state, he knew that they had both participated in the moment. That didn’t make Cass any less culpable.

"Why? It’s not like Lucian did it on his own." Cass said and both Lucian and Edgar shared a look before they looked at Cass. Edgar looked...uncomfortable for a moment before he sighed.

"Cass...you aren’t aware of it, but whenever something of a sexual nature is brought up you...never really refuse. At least not recently. You just...go along with it." Edgar told him gently. Cass blinked.

"What? Of course I refuse." Cass protested and Lucian reached for him, wrapping his arm around Cass’ shoulder and giving it a squeeze.

"Cassy Baby, no, you don’t. You might object to it in the beginning, but you always give in. That’s why Eddie and I are usually...pretty careful in what we do with you. It’s been like this ever since your shared heat with us." That wasn’t that long ago in the grand scheme of things, so what made them so sure that was the case?

"You’re being ridiculous. That makes it sound like my autonomy is gone from making those kinds of decisions." Cass said sharply. He knew that wasn’t the case. At this point, Edgar and Lucian knew never to even consider something like that. They wouldn’t force Cass into moments, and Cass knew he had been present only an hour ago.

His ass still twitched, pulsing. It couldn’t forget what Lucian had done.

Edgar slid to his knees before Cass, placing his hands on Cass’ knees, near the book he’d been reading before. Cass twitched, the image of the other man on his knees before him stirring a part of him he was fairly certain that Lucian had drained. Damn demon blood. He was too damn horny for his own good.

"Which is why we are so careful. We never want to feel like you didn’t make the choice to be with us, especially after experiencing what you were like during your heat. I would never want you to feel like you weren’t actively participating in the acts with us." Edgar told him. Lucian gave him a squeeze.

"Exactly. I’ve learned that an all there Cass is way more fun then a Cass I can order around without complaint. The complaining Cass screams the loudest." Cass’ face went bright red at Lucian’s words. He wasn’t even saying it to directly tease him, Cass could tell. It was in the way that the other man was looking at him. Edgar’s expression grew sour.

"Did he scream?" He demanded, turning to Lucian. Lucian stuck out his tongue, wiggling it.

"I can make you scream too, Eddie, if you’d like?" He suggested and Edgar’s jaw dropped. Cass watched as the other man stared at Lucian’s tongue for a moment before his face flushed.

"No, thank you." He said tartly. Cass attempted not to smile.

"You should take him up on it." Cass said quietly, earning a shocked, but thrilled gasp from Lucian. Edgar’s jaw tightened.

"Oh Cass! You really liked it!" Lucian let out a loud laugh, pulling Cass tightly against his side and pressing a kiss against his cheek. Edgar watched the action, before something seemed to cross his mind. Then, his eyes widened and he let out a soft gasp.

"Wait, what did Lucian do with his tongue? Tell me the truth." Edgar ordered. Lucian growled, clearly not liking Edgar’s tone, but honestly? Cass thought it was completely fair of him to demand it. Was it going to kill Cass to get the words out? Absolutely, but he was owed them.

"Lucian, he..." Cass felt his face warm more and he paused. He sucked his bottom lip into his mouth, feeling fidgety and embarrassed. Both Lucian and Edgar locked in on the way that Cass was acting and Cass could feel their gazes warming. "Lucian um, he ate my ass." Cass whispered, his voice trailing off. He huffed, knowing that he needed to clarify from Edgar’s hardening gaze. "He stuck his tongue in." Cass mumbled, wanting to sink into the couch.

He couldn’t, with Edgar at his knees and Lucian around his shoulders. Neither of them would allow him to do so.

Edgar’s gaze, sharp, scanned the room. He sniffed, and Cass felt his face warm further.

"Here? Or on the bed?" Edgar asked and Cass wiggled again.

"On the bed." Cass told him, miserable that he had to do a play by play. Edgar looked at him, really looked at him and huffed.

"I don’t even need to ask if you liked it. Was that it? Did he do anything else?" Edgar asked and Cass flinched.

"He stuck a finger in." Cass told him. Edgar growled, turning to glare at Lucian.

"I just wanted to get to the good stuff. He’s only played with his special spot alone. I wanted him to know I could touch it with both." Lucian told him and Edgar’s glare darkened.

"With both? Lucy, Cass made his lines very clear." Edgar warned and Cass was a little surprised that Edgar was getting mad on his behalf. "You violated several, and expect him to be okay with it?" Edgar demanded and Cass flinched. He was getting upset at Lucian for very valid reasons but...

The reasons that Cass had for avoiding penetration and the like were...kind of gone. Not completely. It still wasn’t really his body, no matter what Cassian said. He didn’t feel comfortable going all the way, but...teasing? He didn’t think he could avoid it.

Since it didn’t matter what he did and didn’t do, he was changing no matter what.

"Edgar." Cass started, drawing both men’s gaze towards him. He could tell that Lucian was ready to launch into a defense of himself, his body had stiffened around Cass, but Cass needed to clear this up. "I...I should explain why I had that rule in place." Cass admitted softly. Edgar and Lucian blinked.

"You don’t have to." Lucian told him. He sounded so sincere that Cass flinched. He hadn’t expected Lucian of all people to tell him that, but...

"No. I think you are both owed an explanation." Cass admitted. He took in a deep breath, exhaling slowly. "I was...scared. Terrified, actually, of anything intimate." Neither man said anything, but Cass could feel how the mood shifted slightly. Cass dropped his gaze, staring at the book in his lap. "I was scared because I’ve never experienced it, in this body or otherwise and I really, really didn’t want to fuck anything up. I...I still have a hard time viewing this as my body. This isn’t. It’s...it’s Cassian’s." Cass admitted quietly as he swallowed. "I didn’t want to do anything that he would be opposed to."

Edgar’s grip on Cass’ knees tightened.

"What changed?" He asked softly and Cass gave a watery smile.

"I spoke to him. He said that...that he was fine with whatever I did. That he was glad that I was doing something to deal with the issue instead of avoiding it, but then there was the truth revealed by the demons and I just...I’ve really messed it up. But Cassian isn’t mad." Cass admitted, then slid his gaze towards Lucian briefly, then looked away. "Cassian also liked it when Lucian picked fights with him." Cass admitted softly.

The soft inhale from Lucian, the way the man held his breath for a second told Cass that he understood the significance of that statement.

"So you thought it was okay to do something more with Lucy because of that?" Edgar asked and Cass nodded. "What about me?" Edgar asked and Cass felt his face warm.

"It...It would be fine." Cass whispered, his body trembling. It was a big thing to say, a big thing to admit. He was already so far deep in at this point that he just-

"I have something I would like to say." Lucian interrupted. "I don’t want to put a damper on this conversation, but I need to draw a line." Lucian said. Both Cass and Edgar glanced at the man, confused. Lucian’s expression was serious, and Cass felt his stomach flip. He had a feeling he might know what he was about to say, and if he was right?

The man was staking his claim, clearly. Cass shivered.
