Blood Holy Scripture: True Ancestor Charlotte de Castel-Chapter 955 - 23: A Day in Charlotte’s Life (End of Book)
This question was like a stone thrown into the calm surface of the water.
The atmosphere in the classroom immediately became subtle.
The students from the Eastern Continent, including Emily beside Charlotte, all unconsciously straightened their backs, their eyes filled with expectation and a certain unspoken inclination.
Meanwhile, the exchange students from the Western Continent, especially the Elves, showed expressions of attentive listening with a hint of protective stance.
"Indeed, scholar, the kingdom's general history we studied says that the faith of the Holy Royal Court originated earliest in the Eastern Continent!"
"But our ancient epics record that the radiance of the Sun God first shone upon the West Continent's Sacred Forest!"
The students began to discuss in low voices, still somewhat restrained, but their viewpoints were already clear.
Sebastian smiled gently, pressing his hands down softly, signaling everyone to quiet down:
"This is a very classic and much-debated issue. During my time in the Elf Country, I discussed it countless times with many top historians and mages."
He paused for a moment, his gaze sweeping across the room:
"And based on our comparative analysis of the residual magical power patterns in the earliest relics of both continents, research on the evolution of relevant vocabulary in ancient languages, and tracing models of geological magical pulsation origins... the most likely conclusion at the moment is—"
He spoke clearly and slowly:
"The 'manifestation' of extraordinary power is highly likely to have occurred independently on each of the Eastern and Western continents at the same time, or within a very short historical window."
A buzz of surprise erupted in the classroom.
This answer seemed to surprise many, favoring neither the East Continent nor the West Continent.
"But... how is that possible? Are there really two origins?"
A dwarf exchange student grumbled inquisitively.
"Not necessarily 'two origins'.
Mr. Yulster calmly spoke in addition, his red eyes deep:
"Extraordinary power is more like a seed, germinating simultaneously in two different places with suitable conditions. Its root may point to a single, more ancient and essential 'origin'. Of course, this is just one academic hypothesis."
Sebastian nodded approvingly at Yulster and continued:
"Mr. Yulster expressed it very well. What we are looking for are traces of history, and beyond those traces, there is a grander context. This leads to the next topic we are going to discuss—myth and faith."
He naturally transitioned to the next topic, narrating the myths in the elven system about Sun God Helios and Moon God Artemis, and their relationship with the later widely worshipped lord of the Holy Royal Court by humans—the Holy Divine Master.
"Then, scholar..."
A devout human student eagerly asked:
"Is the Divine Lord of the Holy Royal Court truly the same great being as the Sun God in the elven myths? Our theology teachers have differing opinions on this."
Sebastian's expression became more solemn:
"According to the oldest holy scriptures of the Elf Kingdom, and our research on certain... very high-tier holy relics,"
As he said this, he subconsciously let his gaze fleetingly, almost imperceptibly, pass over Charlotte who was quietly listening below the stage, before quickly retracting it:
"Yes, it can be confirmed. The Holy Divine Master Haral is indeed the Sun God Helios. And Moon God Artemis, and the Sun God, are sibling deities serving a higher..."
"Creation Goddess!"
A lively female student interrupted, sticking out her tongue afterward.
The atmosphere in the classroom relaxed a bit; many students, including quite a few elf exchange students, laughed, gazing purposefully or unintentionally at Charlotte de Castel sitting in the front row.
For a moment, the entire classroom was filled with a cheerful air.
"Yes, the Creation Goddess."
Sebastian also smiled slightly, but his smile carried immense reverence:
"She is the source of all things, the beginning, and endpoint of everything."
"Scholar, does the Creation Goddess... truly exist?"
A young boy sitting in the back row, with freckles on his face, asked loudly in curiosity, clearly a freshman:
"I mean, is there really such a god? And... is it true that her name is Charlotte in the legends?"
This time, nearly half the students in the classroom laughed, many turning their heads to look at Charlotte, their eyes full of friendly mischief.
Even the usually serious Mr. Yulster's mouth seemed to curve slightly.
Charlotte's cheeks turned slightly red, and she glared somewhat helplessly at the boy who was stirring up the commotion.
But Sebastian's expression truly became serious at this moment, even carrying a near-reprimanding solemnity.
He adjusted his glasses, his voice clear and powerful, echoing in the suddenly quiet classroom:
"Mind your words, young sir. Of course, the Creation Goddess exists."
His gaze swept over everyone; the mild scholar's aura suddenly emanated an awe-inspiring dignity.
"The air you breathe at this moment, the earth beneath your feet, the vitality and potential flowing in your blood... and even the foundation enabling you to study and harness elemental power, all are remnants of the goddess's grace."
"Her existence requires no proof from the church, nor is her name the domain mortals can casually remark upon. Although the goddess has not established a tangible sanctuary in the world, every person who knows her name should bear supreme reverence."
"This is not about religious ritual, but a respect for 'origin' itself. I hope this is the last time such a careless question is heard in this classroom."
