Bloodline of the Wizard-Chapter 90 - 70 The Only Way, Muscle Freak_2
Chapter 90: Chapter 70 The Only Way, Muscle Freak_2
Now that I look at it, the importance of the Soul Seal to a Wizard is indeed extraordinary.
Without a Soul Seal, a Wizard is quite missing a number of Magic Tools.
If there’s a powerful Soul Seal, it may even be possible to challenge across ranks...
Ronan’s eyes flickered quickly, and he asked, "So how does one choose a Soul Seal?"
"It depends on what Spells you major in, and what kind of combat style you plan to adopt in the future.
Each Wizard’s Magic Attributes are built around their own Seal, and the different Magic Schools among Wizards are derived from this..."
No wonder that Advanced Apprentice in the black robe from the Silent Forest detailed the various Magic Schools and their corresponding Seal choices so thoroughly in his notes; he was building his future Magic Attributes.
Ronan wanted to ask for more details about the Soul Seal, but that crisp voice lost the patience to continue.
"What you understand now is useless; only Official Wizards are qualified to refine a Soul Seal, and it’s not even certain you can pass this stage..." novelbuddy.cσ๓
As she spoke, another voice suddenly arose inside the house.
"Grace! Grace!"
The newly appeared voice was mature and charming, calling out like a middle-aged woman.
After the calls, the bright and crisp voice of the young girl became panicked and tense, followed by a clatter of noise; something flew out from a small window on the second floor of the house.
"Take this!"
Ronan caught it subconsciously.
A Potion, crimson in color... another God Burning Potion!
"Damn!"
Ronan was flustered, "Is this thing really so worthless?"
He had already been forcibly given several.
However, thinking about it, it made sense. The greatest use of the God Burning Potion is to help Apprentices break through to Wizard status, which naturally holds extraordinary value in the eyes of an Apprentice, but is completely useless to an Official Wizard.
"Hurry, leave! If you’re really lucky enough to advance successfully... come to find me again!"
The young girl’s voice hurried him along, and then a force pushed Ronan out.
"Grace, why is there a shielding Spell at the door to your room? What are you hiding in there doing?"
"Mom! I’m already an adult witch, why can’t you give me a little privacy?"
"To be precise, you are three months and seven days away from being officially an adult.."
"Oh, damn, can you not always emphasize that! Mom!.."
...
Ronan stood on a shaded path with green leaves, looking toward the blue cottage from which the sound of mother and daughter talking faintly carried, and then at the God Burning Potion in his hand...
"The Body Refining Method, eh..."
Ronan’s gaze gradually hardened.
"Damn it... let’s go for it!"
.....
After the deep winter, the snow began to melt.
In the forest, two figures wrapped in long robes walked step by step through the damp woodland.
A middle-aged burly man with grey eyes struggled to pull his foot out from a half-melted snow hole, cursing under his breath.
"Keep it down."
A skinny man with his nose red from the cold softly reminded him, "Don’t let the Black Robe hear you."
"There are no Black Robes here now."
The grey-eyed sturdy man expressed disdain, "The battle between the Academy and the beasts of the Silent Forest has long since moved elsewhere. Haven’t you noticed that most of the recent missions require us to set out on an airship?"
"Still have to be careful not to attract Magic Beasts... this time of the year, the forest is most infested with them."
The grey-eyed man pursed his lips, unconvinced and too lazy to argue.
"I remember it’s around here somewhere..."
The two continued deeper into the forest, the red-nosed one muttering as he began to search around.
The grey-robed burly man held what looked like a crude stick of a Magic Wand and watched the surroundings vigilantly.
Suddenly, the red-nosed man’s eyes lit up, and he dashed to a bush covered with snow, furiously digging.
"Found it, no mistake, it’s here..."
Just as the two were excitedly digging for some treasure, suddenly....
"Roar!"
A massive roar came from the nearby woods.
The sound, which seemed to come from a fierce beast, caused the snow on a stretch of trees to harshly fall, and the air’s Energy Particles stirred.
The two treasure diggers suddenly froze in action, looking up with a horrified expression on their faces.
"It’s... it’s a Magic Beast!"
"Damn, it’s all because of your jinx!"
The two men went pale, didn’t care for much else, and quickly pulled a dark bundle from the snow hole into their chest and were ready to leave in a hurry.
But before they could step out, a second roar of the Magic Beast sounded once more.
"Bang bang!"
This roar was even more terrifying, forming a sonic boom in the woods, causing the air and vegetation to crackle and snap.
Most importantly...
The tone of this beast roar was completely different from the first, clearly from another fierce creature.
The grey-eyed strong man and the red-nosed man were about to go weak at the knees, their faces almost as pale as the surrounding snow.
"Magic Beasts! Two of them!
And they both seem to be Advanced Zero Rank!"
The judgment of strength came from a sense of innate alarm.
Both being Intermediate Wizard Apprentices, only Advanced Zero Rank or even higher-level Magic Beasts could give them such a strong sense of crisis.
"Go! Run!"
"Wait!.."
The red-nosed man frantically urged his companion, but after just a few steps, he was grabbed by the grey-eyed strong man.
"Something doesn’t seem right!"
The grey-eyed man wore a look of puzzlement and curiosity, whispering, "Just calm down... listen carefully."
The red-nosed man was becoming agitated; at such a moment, not running meant waiting for higher-level Magic Beasts to come by scent and they’d both be doomed here.
