Chapter 897 Chapter 897 Devour

The walk took another 2 hours more before the pair of master and servant finally stopped at a lavish restaurant named The Early Toad Tavern.

Along the way, Chu Yang and Ning Xi probably met hundreds of thousands of people already. It was obvious that this place was indeed not a novice village at all.

This was the grand city of Silver Snow. The name of the city honored the person who founded this place.

Daoist Silver Snow was a renowned cultivator who lived some 100,000 years in the past.

Today, Silver Snow City boasted a population of more than 500,000,000 people around its proud high walls. One could only imagine how big and busy this place really was.

"How may i serve you today, honored guests?" A waiter came at once.

"Give us all the special dishes in the house. We want to taste the best that this place have to offer." Chu Yang demanded. It was a refreshing experience to act like a true young master for a change.

One should know that he was originally a teacher by profession back on Earth and although it was a noble job but it was not one that could give him all the luxuries that that world has to offer.

"Young master!" Ning Xi almost shouted in place but she was in time to cover her cute mouth with both her palms. She knew that she has overstepped her bounds.

Nevertheless, her big shocked eyes told a silent tale for everyone to see. She feared for the worst. One should know that their everyday diet in the clan consisted of only vegetables and white rice.

If there was one person who would know how broke that humble household was then it would be no other than Ning Xi herself.

"You don't have to worry, Xi'er. We have all the money in the world. We could even buy the entire world if it was up for sale right now."

Chu Yang tapped the shoulders of her maidservant in order to calm her in her seat.

He was usually a humble and meticulous person but his op golden finger has made it possible for him to venture into an exciting new territory.

Thus, there was really no reason for him to hold back from anything.

"I have an obligation to remind you young master Chu that what you want to order costs about 30,000 gold coins at least. Are you sure you're not willing to change your mind?"

The male waiter said slowly. He emphasized his words clearly so as not to have any confusion in the end.

"Yes. We would not be here otherwise." Chu Yang nodded, leaned back on his chair, and began to enjoy the nice view of the place. Everything piece of furniture was of top quality.

"I understand young master Chu. Please forgive me for my impudence. Your food shall be with you as soon as it's ready."

The man bowed deeply and turned around to deliver this set of special orders to the chef.

He did not have any concern that his customers would run or swindle him, the distinct mark of the Chu insignia alone in Chu Yang's robes was enough assurance for him and his boss.

Only a fool would dare disgrace the great surname of Chu in this city.

"Please enjoy your meal, honored guests!" The same waiter bid and silently walked away to a discreet place nearby.

He was just a call away if these valued customers has any more need of him.

"Bon appetit!" Chu Yang used what little he knew of the French language and dug in without ado.

They added three more tables just to accommodate his orders and the delicacies therein was no less than a work of an art.

Chu Yang even hesitated to destroy this perfect display of food presentation but his curiosity won out in the end. A food that looked this good should most definitely taste like heaven also.

He only paused for three breaths before eating to his fill. His guess was indeed not wrong. Chu Yang was swimming in exquisite euphoria after his first three bites alone.

"What are you doing, Xi'er? Eat." Chu Yang said the moment he realized that he was the only one eating in the table. 𝘣𝑒𝑑𝑛𝘰𝑣𝘦𝘭.𝘤𝑜𝑚

He was probably a full five minutes into this celebration of two when he realized this truth.

"Are you really sure we can pay for this all, young master?" Ning Xi leaned closer to Chu Yang before saying these words in a tiny whisper.

"Do i need to repeat myself? Or is it just that you don't trust me enough, Xi'er?" Chu Yang asked, put his knife and chopsticks on the table, and gave Ning Xi a serious look.

"I'm sorry for being hardheaded, young master! Xixi trusts you the most!" Ning Xi declared and before long, she was already stuffing her mouth full of meat.

The side of her lips got oily in the process but that has not diminished her natural beauty at all. It was only sad that Chu Yang only treated her like a little sister and no more.

"Eat slowly, Xi'er. We're gonna be here for as long as you want." Chu Yang smiled and picked his tools for eating once more.

Restaurants for cultivators would have been his first choice today but alas, no mortal could eat its food and survive in the aftermath.

One should know that food served in those kind of eatery were not ordinary meat and dishes at all.

They were filled with so much spiritual essence that a normal human would have to explode like a bomb upon taking just a small slice of delight from those establishments.

'Hmmm... After fixing my body, i should also find ways to make Ning Xi a true cultivator like me. I don't want to lose a loyal maidservant after all.' Chu Yang added another note in his mind.

He had an intuition that small goals like this one would have to accompany him for many years to come.

Life of an immortal would quickly become dull if one would suddenly be left with nothing to do at all.

Thus, it was important that every wish should be at least as high as the brightest stars in the night.

"DING!"

"GOBBLE!"

"CHOMP!"

"CHAMP!"

"GUZZLE!"

"SLURP!" Only these familiar sounds serenaded the scene for a long long time.
