Merlinus completely forgot that Planta had it! And it was because she had deactivated it due to its immense energy consumption, keeping it down and hoping he would forget.

He roared back, growing more old man-like heads made of black goo and with long white beards and old-looking faces with giant, spiraling red eyes, opening their jaws to fire beams of pure demonic flames, an element Planta couldn’t resist or become immune to so easily.
