Morpheus was finally finished, overflowing with nightmare and dream energy, and looking mighty large and intimidating, with black and purple jewels decorating his massive scythe. The three skulls on his head turned completely black and now metallic, with purple jewels in his eyes as well, giving them a fancy appearance.

As he overflowed with new power, I also felt like the strength he gained was shared with me to an extent, as a contracted Spirit Weapon rather than just a weapon, his strength was also mine, and as he grew I could also share his strength and power to an extent.

It seems the update boosted him quite considerably too, so I won't have to worry about him for quite a while in terms of growth and development, which is a relief.

I received more messages than I had anticipated, it seemed I truly grew more powerful this time! I not only let Morpheus finally evolve and reach a "Divine" Level, but I even gained TEN THOUSAND SPIRIT RUNES out of that!

With this, not only did he grow stronger, but I did as well! Maybe I should create more Spiritual Weapons now that I think about it? They could be a good way to grow stronger by boosting them and letting them grow.

But Irene and Morpheus might get jealous though, and that's without even considering I got several other weapons I could use right now.

The ideal would be to contract more of these types of "permanent" and powerful Spirits, although there's not really any guarantee I'll get stronger from that.

After all Gardenia hasn't really grown stronger has she? Or well, a little bit… Or well a lot kind of? It's hard to tell, but yeah, she isn't going to just magically upgrade like Morpheus if I use a forge.

Maybe there could be a way to turn a weapon into a Spirit Weapon that is more of a Spirit itself in the shape of a weapon rather than the weapon itself, but it might be rather hard.

After all, for that, the weapon itself would need to leave their mortal, physical vessel and remain as only a spiritual soul, which then adapts to the ability to become solid again into a weapon.

That would mean that I would need Irene to be destroyed and just take out her soul and hope she turns into a spirit…

Way too risky! I'm definitely not doing that, that's for sure…

Anyway, Morpheus seemed rather pleased with his new changes and evolution.

"That's nice to hear, Morpheus!" I said with a smile. "Now let's see your status through the wooden tablet!"

I quickly grabbed the wooden tablet which Mark finally stopped looking at, and then used it on Morpheus. This time, I decided to check on the new Abilities and a description of Morpheus himself.

Dream Soul: Morpheus' Soul is made out of Dreams themselves, and cannot be easily destroyed or extinguished, while also being able to regenerate by absorbing Dreams and Nightmares.

Nightmare Curse: Conjure a powerful Curse upon a target that will torment them with Nightmares even during the day, with different effects each time its conjured.

Soul-Eating Nightmare Domain: Unleash a small domain made of Nightmares that is capable of slowly devouring the exposed soul of any foe inside. If protected, the soul's protection will begin taking damage instead until it breaks.

Summon Cursed Nightmare Undead: Harness Mana and Spirit Energy to summon powerful Undead made out of Nightmares coming in all shapes and forms that will obey the master no matter what and attack any foe with an assortment of curses and techniques.
