Bro, I'm not an Undead!-Chapter 1506: Vali’s Vision for Victory (1)
The real Vali and Illyinni were fighting alongside the weaker experts, fending off the remainder of the weaker Cavern and the Divine one. It was one nasty bastard. Its features were very human-like and feminine. Its size, ten times as large as the average human, already made it formidable, but its Divine status made this trait especially troublesome to deal with.
Illyinni and Vali had nearly died to it six times. Well, the former would have, if not the additional clone Vali had stick with her to heal her instantaneously using Cellular Supremacy.
The great Cavern pointed below at some of the weaker experts around and darkness lathered ten of them, turning them into shadows planted on the dirt at once. Indeed, it was an uncanny ability.
The Cavern as a race had an affinity for darkness that had once stumped even Festos.
Oddly though, the victims of this trick it used, vanished; indeed, the shadows disappeared from the dirt almost immediately.
The large Cavern narrowed its eyes at this development. It had slaughtered many of the experts here. Even those that died normally – hacked to pieces or stabbed – had also mysteriously disappeared. What did that mean?
Six large dark wolves raced towards and rammed their heads into the Divine Cavern's body. There were great impacts, but the large Cavern was unbothered. These creatures did not have the power to threaten it. It had seen them effortlessly take down its lessers, hacking at parts of them with ease, but it was immune. It was too strong to be affected by the sort of spatial powers mortals could use.
It wasn't as though Illyinni expected the wolves to do much though. She only hoped to distract the creature for a moment.
Illyinni, who was riding one of her dark wolves, raised her palm into the air.
"Soft Grace!" she cried, and at once her Blessing was activated. Large ethereal hands, almost ghost-like, sprouted from the ground and began wrapping around the remaining experts as well as her and the real Vali, who had thus far been racing around the battlefield seemingly without aim.
The large hands continued to grasp at each of the experts even when they moved around, shielding them.
And indeed, the ethereal hands were shields. The Blessing Illyinni used to make them was the Dormant one she received, just like every other expert, when she reached the Foundation Stage. When she reached the Incandescent Stage, the Dormant Blessing was awakened, giving her access to its powers. It allowed her to grant a maximum of fifty people with a 30% increase in defensive ability.
Normal Blessings tended to be random and weak, unlike the Divine Blessings of the Paladin Champions. Illyinni was lucky to have something she could apply in combat. Shura didn't even bother with his. It was better used for farming.
"We aren't going to survive this if this keeps on. Any ideas? Should we allow the others to use their slashes now?" Illyinni asked the Vali clone behind her.
The clone didn't answer immediately. A broad smile was on her face.
"Not yet. I'll give the signal soon enough," she then said.
As it sounded, Vali had told the experts around them to not waste their stash of slashes on the Cavern riffraff the instant the two Divine ones had befallen them. But the situation kept getting desperate and some of them kept giving her keen looks. Spamming the slashes on the large Divine Cavern was all the lesser experts could do now.
But the real Vali had yet to give the signal yet. It did seem as though she was mindlessly running around on the battle – fleeing perhaps – but she was simply observing. She had been observing Shura in particular from the beginning and she continued to do so even now.
She watched as his creature – the brown Cavern – clashed with the stocky Divine Cavern. It weathered any magical attack the Cavern used, only succumbing to its raw physical attacks. But even when it burst apart because of an attack by the stocky Cavern, Vali's clone which was with Shura healed it, and it continued to frustrate the Divine Cavern again and again.
The Divine Cavern here didn't have Andori. They were the weakest kind of Divine beings you'd find. Their main sources of offense were physical attacks, weapons, their unique mortal abilities, and darkness manipulation. The latter two did not work on the brown Cavern Shura had made.
It shrugged off the projectiles of darkness the Divine Cavern send its way and was unaffected when the enemy turned its arm into a large, violet serpent that bit it in the neck. The brown Cavern flew up and managed to get one clumsy punch in on the Divine Cavern… and shockingly, the creature reeled. It took some damage.
'Incredible,' thought Vali. 'Shura used Nitros and the mental energy from the Cavern he defeated to alter the very nature of this particular Cavern. Nitros mimics Genuine Divine energy, allowing us combatants to create worlds of sorts – Territories. But Nitros can also enable us to create living beings in those Territory, so to an extent, it can interact with living matter and even create living beings.'
'Shura combined this trait of Nitros with the mental energy he collected to create some antithesis of all Cavern. I assume he made the final touch-ups using Creeds. The result is a creature that nullifies any magical ability that comes from Cavern DNA. Truly genius.'
And as she thought of this, Vali's linked her field of vision to that of the clone that was following Shura around.
The man was cautiously controlling the brown-skinned Cavern, making sure it fought smart.
"Hey, mind if I borrow some of your… specs?" she asked Shura.
"What?"
But before Shura could answer, Vali grabbed his wrist. Her skin suddenly melded into his, and the Desmonn House Head reacted belatedly.
"What do you think you are—"
"Relax," Vali said, grinning. freёnovelkiss.com
Before, she might have needed to lop off his arm for what she required, but now, with the enhancements to her Cellular Supremacy, she could copy the cellular information from anything living just by making contact with it. All the information in Shura's flesh registered onto Vali's arm.
As it did, it was copied, encrypted and translated into her real body!
'Oh, this is interesting!' the real Vali thought. She condensed all the information she'd received from her clone about Shura's body into her thumb. It turned dark at once, livid with chaotic genes, mana and the instructions from Cellular Supremacy.
And right as Vali tore off this thumb and regrew a new one, she cried for all to hear:
"Fire them all, now!"
The experts didn't need to be told twice.
They expelled their frozen slashes from their spatial storages and with a thought, they set them loose towards the giant Cavern.
For ten seconds straight, the giant was lathered with thousands of whipping lights. At first, it didn't care. But then… it did.
The slightest hints of cracks began to appear on its hard black body just as the experts started running out of slashes. But of course, the giant Cavern didn't know that. It assumed they had more.
It hissed and took to the sky.
Vali grinned.
'Perfect!'
Without wasting a moment, she finally activated her empowered Imagining Technique.
It was limited and pathetic no more. It was a match and a half for the original EverSword Technique.
