Bro, I'm not an Undead!-Chapter 1616: Enlighten Me
Gerriey and the other Stark Troops were giving it their all. They were surrounding the mega shell that was Godspeed Highway on the outside, and firing Triplefold Aggrante without pause. The super-concentrated jets of mana and Null Life Essence shone starkly in the night, wrestling the wild gusts that signified Aigas’ doom and striking at the terrifying Majestic Territory.
However... they were doing nothing.
The more the seconds ticked by, the weaker the Aggrantes became. No. Godspeed Highway was going stronger.
Illyinni Wolverik was also doing her best. The shock from being one of two Pelian House Heads left alive after Nigerra began a killing spree, had no room in her mind. She acted immediately. Using her technique Nether Wolves, Serial Standard, which had been empowered by Ferex’s Soul Talisman, she sent dozens of great dark wolves charging and smashing into Godspeed Highway’s boundary. A minute ago, the wolves had been impressing their effect on the Territory. They ate up chunks of its boundary from the outside, weakening it – however slightly.
But now...
Shura Desmonn was also helping. Using his technique, Cursed Mind’s Eye, he too was attacking the boundary to the fearsome Territory, and a minute ago, he had managed to crack it nearly a third as well as the Aggrantes flying around him.
But now...
As he gritted his teeth, he couldn’t help but curse.
"BLAST IT ALL!" Gerriey cried aloud, mirroring his frustration. Her arm was getting too sore for her to keep on. She had to hold it erect to be able to control the Aggrante firing from her Granted Armament. There was a reason why Skullius always mandated for a Triplefold Aggrante to be used as a last resort rather than a first option. The recoil from its power could kill the user, especially if they weren’t on the level of the Unlimited Stars. "Are we even accomplishing anything?"
She knew the answer to that question.
Deep within, she began lamenting the fact that she was only a Stark Troop. She only had access to the basic Aggrante, Las Aggrante (which eviscerated the souls of targets rather than their bodies) and Nos Aggrante (which was more of a bomb-type attack than a projectile). The Unlimited Stars had access to the Ko Aggrante, a type with five times as much power as a basic Triplefold Aggrante, and also possessed the ability to grow stronger the more it struck targets desired by the user.
Gerriey thought that would have made a difference here. But even better than that...
’Get your acts together, Pherdanta, Kintar!’ she thought. ’Don’t you dare lose!’

Kintar felt the overwhelming raw might from Nigerra’s fist pressing against her own. Constantly evolving to match absurdities was her forte, at least when she wasn’t having a breakdown. She was matching Divine strength once again.
Nigerra’s eyes brimmed with interest. "Are you going to show me something interesting before you die?"
Before Kintar could answer, she was already anchoring herself on the ground with both hands and swinging her foot to knock off the Mage’s head. Kintar’s eyes were wide open, however, straining beyond their limits to catch the flicker of her opponent’s attack. She ducked in the nick of time, blocked Nigerra’s following blow, another whipping kick with more than enough power to demolish several continents at once, and a vicious palm strike to the head. Kintar ducked, kipped up and pushed against the ground to fling herself away.
But Nigerra was on her like a bee on honey. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
"What’s giving you vitality now? You were just about ready to give me your life!"
Kintar flashed forward wordlessly, and threw a series of stunning quick jabs at Nigerra. The long-faced woman was... startled. She felt the throbbing, explosive power in each blow and decided to evade rather than meet any of them. She didn’t even stake her safety on her Aspiring Immortal Shadow. She wouldn’t risk it.
Instead, her Eyes of Moving throbbed... and she became a human-shaped blur. Kintar’s attacks passed right through her as though she were a colourful mist.
It was Kintar’s turn to look stunned.
’She’s using her eyes to move through my attacks? Just how far can she bend the meaning of moving?’ she thought, but she didn’t relent.
It didn’t matter.
It didn’t matter what Nigerra did now.
Kintar knew... her Reflection knew... she had already won.
In order to keep her role intact in spite of her new revelation, Kintar evolved yet again.
"That’s not enough," she said to Nigerra, who’d turned tangible again and thrown another Faux Sand Fist. She zipped out of the way, evading the blow and suddenly, her body exploded with a staggering flush of Divine energy!
...!!!
"What the...!" Nigerra eyes bulged... and she took a striking, golden flash to the face – a royal punt of a punch from Kintar!
She went flying through the icy mountainscape of Kintar’s Reflection... and then her own Majestic Territory, Godspeed Highway!
Just like that, Nigerra was forced out of Kintar, and Kintar came back to her senses.
They were back to the status quo.
A swarm of Trigger Racers were flooding towards Pherdanta’s Territory, along with many dark arrows. The masked man and his opponents were still fighting.
Barely two seconds had passed.
Nigerra gritted her teeth. The information from everything happening within the Territory bombarded her, but she quickly digested it and turned back to Kintar.
"You arrogant little virgin! Do you think this is enough to—" She had begun hissing in a rage and glared at the Mage... only to realise that her nose was bleeding.
Nigerra’s face turned white as a sheet.
She actually took damage!
That one blow from Kintar bypassed her Shadow’s capacity to absorb damage and actually reached her!
How could that be?
Nigerra dapped her nose with a finger and eyed the blood in disbelief. Then she turned back to Kintar.
The Realm Source Mage suddenly exploded with Genuine Divine energy even while here. There was so much of it that she seemed to be burning away within its raging torrents.
Or was it that... she was actually burning away within the flood of Divine energy?
The colourful display stole the attention of everything in the Territory for a moment.
Kintar was indeed burning away, little by little. But for good reason.
’I didn’t realise something in me was more arrogant than I am,’ she thought, scoffing at the memory of her Reflection. ’But I shouldn’t be surprised. That thing showed me the way, after all.’
And indeed, Kintar’s Reflection of the Soul had shown her the way.
Nigerra had brought the two of them within her Reflection in order to break her, but as it turned out, Kintar’s Reflection would never lose within its own domain. That was why it was casually evading the long-faced woman.
But Kintar was the same. She wouldn’t lose in a match of energies, concepts and obscurities. In a way, Nigerra had also shown her the way.
For those at the very pinnacle of power, they had all the freedom to define what their powers were capable of. Their limits.
...And that was why Kintar, even while fading from existence within the torrent of Genuine Divine energy cried...
"I, Kintar Aladaster, forge a RULE, a command for a Aigas to obey. ENLIGHTEN ME."
