Step! Step!

William, Alackster and Dalia had been walking to and fro through the dungeon for over two hours.

They searched every corner and every path they could find, the dungeon was still empty when they came and still empty when they went.

Dalia walked behind the both of them, Alackster stayed in front, holding a crystal to illuminate the path.

"We have covered this path over five times... She isn’t here." Alackster said.

"Yeah, let’s head back to where we left Arlo, we should check beyond the dungeon too." Dalia added, clearly tired.

William scanned the area once more and nodded. "Okay, let’s go back."

They turned around and began retracing their steps. They passed through several paths easily mainly because the monsters hadn’t spawned yet.

As they approached the original place, a loud sound erupted from the direction. It was an explosion.

BOOOOM!

It shook the entirety of the dungeon, causing debris to fall from the ceiling.

William dodged each one with precision, continuing his run towards the direction of the sound. "It came from where Arlo was!"

They all sprinted at their highest pace.

Upon arrival, all their eyes widened in shock.

The ceiling that was covered in the monster’s flesh was now shattered ice. Particles of light fell down like rain.

They looked all around and there was still no sign of the beast.

However, lying directly under it was a figure.

From a distance, William recognized immediately. "Acheron!"

He and Alackster launched forward, running towards her.

But as they got closer and closer, they began to notice something weird.

Acheron was wearing a long plain white gown. It was transparent in sight and as the light from the ice crystal focused on her... The outline of her curved body became visible.

William’s face turned red in embarrassment. He stopped mid step, turning himself and Alackster around immediately.

"Uh... I... I didn’t see anything!" Alackster said.

Dalia noticed they stopped and came to find out why. Behind them was Acheron, she saw what she wore and charged in like a bull to cover her up.

"You perverts!" Dalia knelt down and quickly removed her robe, wrapping it around Acheron.

William and Alackster both looked flustered as they tried to maintain composure.

Acheron moved slightly due to being moved about. Her eyelids opened slowly and she saw an orange haired person touching her all over.

Her vision was blurry, a mix of shapes and colors.

’Where... Are my glasses?’ She thought groggily.

Deep within her mind, the World of Illesmtrys had taken its original shape back. Ophelia and Stellar reappeared within, dropping to the floor as they let out a long breath of relief.

『 So... ti... red! 』 Ophelia panted loudly.

She noticed Acheron tried to focus on the person in front of her... But without her glasses she was hopeless.

She cast a small spell, forming an ice bird as a necklace on Acheron’s neck.

Through that, Acheron could now see clearly temporarily.

’Thanks, Ophelia...’ Acheron thought.

Suddenly, a flood of notifications appeared before her.

Acheron’s eyes blurred through the notifications, she was too tired to take any of them into account.

’A new skill...?’ She dismissed them for now and raised her head to focus on the people around her.

"Acheron, are you alright?" Dalia asked, touching her waist and hair for any injuries.

Acheron nodded. "I... Think so..."

She wasn’t even conscious of what she was wearing. The robe Dalia had used to cover her hid most of her plain body but the white silk of the gown still clung to her skin.

Acheron sat up slowly, holding her head. She looked ahead and saw William and Alackster facing the opposite direction.

"William..." She said in a low tone. "William!" In a daze, she vanished from the floor and appeared in front of her brother.

She checked his hair, chest, legs, even his teeth for any sort of injuries whatsoever. "Hope you were not hurt!?" She asked.

William felt a wave of embarrassment. ’Tsk! She’s treating me like a kid again...!’

"I’m fine big sis." He muttered, looking away.

Acheron closed her eyes and smiled. "Good... Now come in here!"

She pulled him in for a hug, he was taller but she dragged his head and buried it in her boobs.

"Ga...k! I can’t... Breathe!" William felt like he was dumped in a large ocean, no space anywhere.

Acheron finally let go and got on her tip toes to pat his head.

Suddenly, a faint groan came from the side.

"Urg... My head!"

All eyes turned towards Arlo. He opened his eyes slowly, visuals of the scene becoming clearer and clearer to him.

"Arlo!" Dalia rushed over. "Are you okay?"

Arlo looked up at her with a confused expression. "Yes... I think so..."

Alackster and William went over to check on him.

However, as Acheron watched from the bird’s eyes. To others Arlo’s eyes seemed perfectly normal.

But to her... They glowed bright red.

’What the...?’ Acheron summoned her system and activated ’Author’s View’.

The ice bird flocked its wings to a more preferred angle and focused on Arlo.

Acheron watched the behavior of Arlo for a while, keeping her expression joyful all the time so as not to alert the beast.

’Can you guys bind her to the fragment of skin I just received?’
