The heavy silence in the palace hall weighed down on them all. Bella and Latha wore expressions that betrayed their inner turmoil. The weight of Das's request hung heavily in the air, and the magnitude of what was being asked of them became increasingly apparent.
"Ten veils filled with Farus family patriarch blood…"
Bella's mind raced with thoughts of the possible implications of fulfilling Das's demand. She contemplated the logistics of obtaining ten veils filled with the blood of the Farus family patriarch.
It was no small task, and the consequences of such transaction could ripple throughout their family and the hidden families' network. The gravity of the decision weighed on her.
Beside her, Latha's face contorted with a mixture of emotions: surprise, anger, and astonishment. She couldn't believe what she was hearing.
"Ten veils of the patriarch's blood…? Her own Father blood…!"
It was a demand that felt sacrilegious, as if they were selling their family's essence for a mere business transaction. The Farus family had always held their patriarch's blood with the utmost reverence.
Even though they occasionally used small amounts for family development and mutual transactions with other powerful hidden families, it was done with the utmost discretion and respect. The idea of using their patriarch's blood as a bargaining chip was almost unthinkable.
"We don't have entire day. The clock is ticking. I already said you can't bear the price. So, finish this quickly." Das asked as he checked the mobile.
As the minutes slipped away, Das's patience began to wane. He checked his mobile periodically, the continuous updates on Luis, the young master of the Aries family movements serving as a constant reminder to the time left for him to bargain.
At present Luis started his journey towards Das palace with a group of strong fighting force. Your next journey awaits at novelbuddy
"Das, what you asked is an unreasonable request. It is also distrustful to ask the blood of the Patriarch in front of family members. I'm excusing you this time. But I won't tolerate it if you speak about it again."
Bella's stern voice snapped him back to the present. She reiterated the gravity of his request, emphasising its unreasonableness and the disrespect it showed toward the Farus family.

For a moment, Das's gaze bore into Bella's eyes with a focused intensity. Then, his lips slowly curled into a mocking smile. It was a sly expression that hinted at hidden knowledge and amusement.
"You can leave. You are at all serious when compared to the Aries family's young master. He offered me ten veils of blood from the Aries family patriarch and pledged to support this city with all its financial needs for the next hundred years. Unfortunately, for the sake of my promise, I had to decline." (Bluff)
"But Sadly, for the sake of my promise to Princess Amara, I rejected him." Das bluffed with a dissatisfied face and stood up to leave.
Bella felt a desperation as Das is acting relaxed and he is completely ignored the fact that she is the manager of the mighty Farus family. At present he holds all the cards and Bella came without anything in hand.
She thought Das will agree to any of their request because of fear or for wealth and power. But all her expectation were kneeled down before the attitude of Das.
"Das, wait, please reconsider your request," she implored, her eyes locking onto his. "Except the patriarch's blood, I can give you anything. If you call Luis and help us to trap him, you can gain great benefits."
"How about becoming a member of the Farus family? I can arrange a marriage with any last-line family member of the Farus family if you desire. It's the most significant honour, one could dream of in this world. How about it? Is it acceptable to you?" Bella asked with an expected look. She thought Das will definitely agree to this.
However, Das, who had already tasted the power and allure of the Shadow Clan's princess, couldn't help but chuckle at Bella's offer. While he is preparing to reject her proposal, Latha concealed a dagger beneath her sleeve, ready to act.
"See, miss," Das replied, his tone dismissive. "I've already made it clear—I have no desire to be a mere servant to your family. So, please, stop offering me the same thing repeatedly. I've stated what I need. If you waste any more time due to your indecisiveness, you may miss the golden opportunity to trap Luis. The Aries family reinforcements have already reached Mumbai Airport."
But just as Das turned around to leave in continuation of his act, an unexpected turn of events unfolded.
"Master…"
Sana, who had been standing quietly until now, suddenly cried out in fear. Latha, who had been lurking nearby, pounced on Sana and pressed a sharp dagger against her throat, her voice laced with a menacing threat.
"Enough chit-chat, Das. I know you care a lot about this chick," Latha hissed, her eyes narrowed with determination. "So, call Luis now and instruct him to come here to negotiate an alliance. Make the call, or she won't leave here in one piece." Latha threatened while staring right into crimson red colour eyes of Das.
Seeing a droplet of blood slowly trickle down Sana's neck, Das couldn't contain his anger. He tightened his fists, his eyes locked onto Latha's with an intense fury burning within him. It took all his self-control, not to lunge at Latha with all the cosmic power within him in that very moment.
"Latha, what is the meaning of this? Stop it now," Bella demanded, her voice tinged with anger and concern. She, too, stood up, attempting to approach Latha in an effort to halt her actions.
"Bella, stop. It's my turn now. You've already offered him substantial benefits, but this miser is demanding my father's blood. People like him can only be dealt like this," Latha declared resolutely, her grip on the dagger steady and unyielding.
As the two women engaged in a heated exchange, Das swiftly retrieved a communication device from his side pocket. It resembled a walkie-talkie commonly used by mercenaries. He raised it to his lips and spoke with chilling authority, "Point all the guns on our esteemed guests."
