Building My Guild With A Blank Scroll-Chapter 79: Rumel The Slave-3
Chapter 79: Rumel The Slave-3
’What in the—’ One of the remaining two voiced as both of them turned to look back.
Right before their eyes was their partner who lay on the ground, his head a few inches away from them. He had his eyes on the two, having no trace of life in them as if it never had any in the first place. Just like that, he was dead and without even being given a chance to process what had occured, something moved.
Drawing their attention to the murder weapon, whose name seemed to be much more obvious and related to the word itself.
*CRACK!
It was suddenly pulled with much force having their partner’s head following also, and barely noticing what it was that even killed him. As the dead Spike didn’t receive an ounce of mercy, the speed from the pull instantly snapped and dislocated his head. His soul even possibly getting a share of the pain. Their eyes automatically following the bloodied object which returned to the owner. who
"Who ar—" One of them spoke again, as he had definitely either forgotten or never heard of the word assasin in his life. And as far as anyone knew, many weren’t regular in talking while on a job and neither was this one. But well, he didn’t get to finish his words when another attack came at them.
However, this time round the element of surprise absent, as such an attack would be mere child’s play—unless one created the element itself.
*SWOOSH!
"Hah, are you kidding me! You think we are weaklings like them! Think again!"
Coming at him was the blood red saber tooth, aiming for a headshot.
"I can’t believe they both fell for this." Long forgetting how fast it was withdrawn earlier, his eyes lit up as a reddish-brown flame could be seen, indicating his bronze aura. To them, the weapon was coming as fast as an 18 year old child simply throwing it.
"Tsk!" The other turned away, mumbling a few words to his partner. "Make his death slow, be sure he feels a thorn in his flesh—heh." Walking from him, he had his eyes set on the body a distance away, his eyes glowing with a bronze flame. Ripping off the sleeves of the bath robe he had on, his bulging arms could clearly be seen as he got ready for an autopsy with a cheeky smile.
"Hah, gotcha." Side-stepping, he went for a grab with his hand, getting a hold of the sliver string and yanking it towards himself before also grabbing the part near the saber-tooth itself. Finally getting a hold of the entire length of the weapon which came to him with ease, he examined it.
"Eh, this just it? A string and bone, this trash killed them. Haha, how funny when trash are killed with trash." One could only guess what he was thinking, for it was either his processors were slow, or he simply ignored the fact that everything was easy peezy here.
’Spares me a betrayal on him, now he’s dead already. Time I killed h—’ He froze at the sight before him upon glancing back at the figure. After all, he did refer to it as trash and as far as anyone knew, trash wasn’t an expensive item and neither was it hard to make or rather have alot of it. For if he could carefully count the number of death strings before him, he’d have to do that when a soul was all he had in his possession. Since coming at him wasn’t one, three, or five but a whole fifteen, aimed for his head and burning with aura.
"Wha..." He was about saying, his face full of shock when suddenly it all disappeared to who knew where.
"Hahaha!!" Something was surely up here.
*BOOM!!
*SWOOSH!!
A blast of bronze aura exploded from within him, distroting the space meters around him and granting gravity the power to bring down the incoming projectiles, as they fell before his feet like a new master had been found.
"Trash can’t withstand my, wait—" This gaze carelessly went down to the objects now on the ground.
’One, Two, Three,...Nine?’ A true representation of someone who took being a candidate seriously.
’What? How is this..." The math was definitely not working out at all, as his mental count wasn’t tallying up with the number he’d guessed it to have been earlier. ’Was i wrong or something?’
Well, Rumel was sure to not give him an answer, although it was much obvious considering the swirling sound his ears suddenly caught as it got louder with each passing second.
Looking up, he could see the enemy still at the distant position while having more death-strings snaking up in the air.
"You pulled it back, hah tricks never won any battles i’ve ever heard of." Then probably it happened in those he hadn’t heard.
Confidently taking a step forward to taunt the other with a smirk up his face. Little did he know that, he was dealing with a person who’d take advantage of any chance without a care for their lives or otherwise.
*SWOOSH!!
*SWISH!!
Rumel had already gone in for the offensive, having six death-strings in total, three coming from left and right at the same time.
Seemingly unbothered, his smirk almost looking like a permanent aesthetic, he kept his eyes on the projectiles, patiently awaiting to have it in his range in order to use whatever he’d done earlier.
However, his opponent and the word dum-dum had been sworn enemies for decades for she had long gotten the calculations done. Being something her master deemed to be important to teach her, with reading included. For at the exact moment the leading string of the first set of fifteen had succumbed to gravity, she knew not to mess up a second time.
"Hah!" He was about unleashing it once again as the loose robe slowly got tight around him. Yet, failing to notice a few petty things was sure to lead to none but death. One being the fact that the strings were fastened around her hands unlike before.
"You’ve lost, and only death awaits you. Flaying would surely be the best treat— Hahaahha!!"
About unleasing another detonation of spiritual energy, Rumel’s hands moved. It was a gentle one, a simple turn of the fingers and twist of the wrist. For that seemingly useless stunt had turned turned the tables around, as the movement of the six strings sent them in different trajectory. Spreading out like they’ve been deflected by an unknown force. The burst of energy managing to slightly touch one of the strings, while it changed its course.
With perfect timing, Rumel’s hands were on the move again although this time the movement of her hands were obvious and fast. As crossing them in the opposite direction of the strings—
*SMACK!
Just like a wip, all six lashed in the air and moved towards a single target, being too fast with the only thing near a solution was to embrace death.
*THUN- CRAK!!
*SPLAT!!
*SWISH!
The projectiles were withdrawn, the body of the figure and one of the Spikes of the Thorn Guild dropping to the ground. Blood and gore splattering all over as a fraction of what was once referred to as a head, could only be seen. Another name of the list which Rumel carried on her.
She wasn’t the only one into making bloody messes, as someone else was busy gutting out the lifeless body without a care of the nauseous sight.
His tongue sticking out and licking his upper lip, he carefully searched the contents of the stomach. Making sure to have taken out the bile to prevent unnecessary stuff. His excitement grew stronger in anticipation of obtaining what he sought for. As fantasies flooded his mind on the infinite possibilities he could achieve with the guild in his hands. He would definitely become a god in Tilon, being pleasured each and every single second. Of course to achieve that, he needed to be the only remaining Spike and pillar of the guild.
"Hah, yes!" Finally he’d found it, the guild’s command seal, having the authority to get the guild to do whatever he wanted, as that was the world’s system.
"Kaden, i found i—"
*SQUASH!
*AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!
Probably that was the most painful thing he’d ever felt in this life, having two sabertooths going straight into his eyes.
However, Rumel wasn’t done yet as reaching to her sides, another set of unstrung sabertooths could be seen. Her movement fast with the damage much clear, dealing a final deathblow.
*ACK!
Eyes bleeding out with his neck also now slit, the last of the Spikes and names on her list fell face first on the ground. The tooth’s reappearing at his forehead like red-horns, as his life ended there and then.
*AHHHHHHHH!!
Rumel quickly turned to look back, scanning the bodies to check whether she missed killing any of them. Well, that was unlikely and so who was screaming then?
"You, you—..." Her ears caught the direction of the voice this time round, with her gaze falling on another female.
"Killed—killed..." The words barely got out when suddenly her eyes rolled back and she was out again.
*THUD!
"Hm?" Rumel shrugged, simply grabbing the seal and making her way out of the inner parts of the previous Guildmaster’s residence.
