By Seeing Beasts' Training Paths, My Beast Became Invincible-Chapter 94: We must retreat
"That’s all you’ve got? ... What a piece of trash."
Rocky narrowed his eyes when he heard that.
"Trash?... I’ll take it as a compliment."
Rocky decided to use [Chaotic Transformation], turning himself larger—a humanoid beast clad in armor from head to toe.
The katana in his palm quickly dissipated, and then an odachi appeared in its place. It wasn’t over yet. He decided to use the last red pill to enhance his power. Feeling a new surge of power in his veins, Rocky let out a satisfied breath.
The next moment, he opened his eyes and gazed at the demon, who showed a tinge of amusement at the change in Rocky.
He smirked.
"Stupid. Bigger doesn’t mean you’re stronger."
He swiftly summoned icy spikes in midair and shot them at Rocky. But instead of dodging the blows, Rocky simply stood motionless.
The icy spikes struck Rocky’s armor and shattered on impact. But this time, there was a difference—they couldn’t slow him anymore.
Rocky took a step, then dashed forward, leaving afterimages behind him. And then, a dozen clone-like illusions appeared, attacking the demon from every direction.
The demon frowned, then smirked, summoning a mass of icy rocks in the sky and sending them crashing down. Countless icy stakes erupted from the ground, lunging toward Rocky.
Rocky kept his cold gaze through the helmet slits, ignoring the demon’s attacks—even as the freezing cold bit into him. Sure, even if he could resist it, the low temperature still affected him more or less.
Rocky smashed through the falling icy rocks, destroying everything in his path. As the gap narrowed to just two meters, Rocky swung a precise slash at the demon, who still maintained his indifferent attitude toward the attack.
How overconfident.
For a moment, the demon’s expression shifted when the two weapons clashed with a deafening screech. Rocky chuckled, pouring all his strength into the strike, gripping the odachi with both hands, intent on cutting both the weapon and the demon in half.
Just as he thought he had won the clash, the demon, with a skillful motion, deflected Rocky’s slash into the ground. And in the blink of an eye, he redirected his sword toward Rocky’s abdomen, slipping through the gap between the armor plates.
A ridiculous speed—faster than anything Rocky had ever faced.
Rocky had two options right now:
First, step back and dodge the blow—which would mean losing his chance to dominate this one-on-one fight.
Second... he’d choose it.
(You son of a bitch.)
Ignoring that thrust and letting it pierce through his abdomen, Rocky gritted his jaw to restrain the pain before grabbing the demon’s head with his massive hand.
He poured almost all his strength into crushing it, but it was too hard—like a steel ball. Still, if nothing else, it caused the demon pain, making that bastard yell in agony.
But Rocky was in no better condition. The demon tried to drive the sword deeper into his abdomen, struggling to force Rocky to let go.
Rocky clenched his jaw as blood poured from the wound. His eyes turned bloodshot as he hurled that bastard into the air.
Rocky dropped to one knee, his face turning pale. He glanced at the sword still lodged in his abdomen with a frown. Then he looked up, noticing that bastard falling uncontrollably back down.
Rocky tightened his fist and built up momentum. His eyes gleamed with brutality as the demon dropped closer.
Bang!
Rocky lashed out with his gauntleted hand, striking the demon’s body with a violent impact—sending that bastard skidding across the ground like a ragged doll before crashing into a nearby tent.
"Commander!" a demon soldier yelled in panic before rushing over. The others followed.
Rocky knelt on one knee as he pulled the sword out of his body. He scowled, then glanced at his beasts still trapped inside the icy rock.
(What the hell are you doing?... Destroy that rock!)
As if hearing Rocky’s order, Matt and Bobby began to thrash violently. The rock could no longer hold them back as cracks began to spread across it—countless creaking sounds echoed before Matt let out a loud roar. To avoid being frozen again, Matt quickly freed the unholy abomination and stepped back.
Rocky said.
’’We must retreat.’’
Matt nodded before turning into another form. The membrane quickly formed from his wrists to his ankles.
Rocky turned back into his human form while pressing his hand against the wound to stop the bleeding. Then, he jumped onto Matt’s back.
’’Let’s go.’’
Just like that, the three of them left.
There was no reason for him to stay here anymore, especially since they had completed their original purpose.
He had bought enough time for the human troops to retreat. Meanwhile, he had already fought enough with the demon commander.
Even if he fought that bastard longer, nothing ensured he could win. Therefore, he didn’t need to risk his life.
Rocky frowned as he glanced at the wound on his abdomen. It was very bad. Although he could use a regeneration pill to recover, he needed to save it for a truly critical moment—and this wasn’t it.
The human troops still had some people whose beasts had healing abilities, so he didn’t need to worry.
At this point, as long as he made it back to the shelter they had planned earlier, it would be fine.
Rocky’s breath became ragged as he slumped on Matt’s back. He glanced down at the demon outpost from afar.
’’Seems like they’re not chasing me... That’s good. I won’t need to use the regeneration pill.’’
The demon commander seemed like a rational person. He knew there was no reason to chase Rocky at this time. Of course, after taking that blow, Rocky was sure the demon would be stunned for a while.
Rocky said to Bobby.
’’Bobby, I need to take a break. During that time, can you handle those monsters in the sky for me?’’
Bobby glanced at Rocky and nodded. He stood firmly while summoning his longbow, ready to take down any flying monsters around them.
