Chapter 633: Chapter 634: Feng Mian, Don’t Wait Anymore

Bo Xichen had just hung up the phone when he heard a servant announce that Lawyer Feng had arrived. He glanced at the computer screen and said calmly, "Let him in."

Feng Mian came in and saw Bo Xichen was busy. "Um... I heard there was some issue here."

Bo Xichen, inputting data into a chip, glanced at him. "Fengxi is gone."

Feng Mian had heard it from Zhou Yunchen. Zhou Yunchen, his voice heavy with sorrow, had patted Feng Mian’s shoulder and said he should at least see her one last time. Feng Mian had refused to believe it.

What’s a last look for an AI? At worst, just remove the chip. As long as the data isn’t lost, it should be okay, right?

But once he arrived at the Bo Family, the atmosphere was heavy, almost like a funeral.

A chill ran through his heart. While still in the car, he opened the wristwatch that held Fengxi. But there was no data left. Fengxi was completely gone.

Instead, Feng Mian found Fengxi’s last message—

[I’ve gone to another world!]

Feng Mian stared at it for a long time, remaining in a daze.

Now, watching Bo Xichen inputting various codes, he truly believed that Fengxi no longer existed. Even if they established a new database and created another AI, that wouldn’t be the same Fengxi as before.

He slowly walked over, speaking softly, "Even if we made her again, it wouldn’t be the same."

Bo Xichen glanced at him. "If all you want is an AI, then it doesn’t matter. But if you’re hoping for Fengxi, then it will definitely be different."

His gaze returned to the screen. "Fengxi’s main system is identical to the previous one. But those memory banks that shaped her human-like persona need to be input little by little. Those are all Fengxi’s memory points. But as for what the final personality will be, no one knows."

Feng Mian lowered his eyes, speaking softly, "I can help too."

Bo Xichen gave him a quiet look. "Didn’t you find her annoying?"

Feng Mian feigned indifference. "With her suddenly gone, it’s become too quiet."

Bo Xichen’s hand paused in its task. He then murmured, "Even if she comes back, she might not like you anymore."

Rebuilding Fengxi was an uncertain prospect.

Feng Mian’s Adam’s apple bobbed. "I understand."

He took a seat. "How’s Anxi doing?"

"Not good. She’s grieving excessively." Bo Xichen paused, then continued, "It might be because Fengxi’s system contained aspects of her personality. Anxi always considered Fengxi a little companion. Besides, Fengxi self-destructed to save her."

Feng Mian, feeling somewhat restless, lit a cigarette and tilted his chin up slightly. "How long will this take?"

Bo Xichen paused, seemingly in thought. "Creating an AI is quick, but retrieving all those memory points and integrating them correctly takes a very long time."

"It’s possible Fengxi won’t return for a year or two," he added. "Or perhaps, she’ll never come back."

No one knew what personality the final AI would have.

Feng Mian said nothing more, just smoked one cigarette after another.

Bo Xichen guessed Feng Mian’s mood. He watched him in silence for a moment before saying, "Feng Mian, find a proper girlfriend. Don’t wait anymore."

Because the outcome of such a wait might not be what Feng Mian desired.

Feng Mian’s hand, holding the cigarette, trembled slightly. He squinted at Bo Xichen and said slowly, "I don’t know what you mean."

Bo Xichen chuckled softly. "Feng Mian, you know what I mean. Don’t you like Fengxi?"

Feng Mian blurted out a denial, "That’s not true!"

Bo Xichen lowered his gaze. "If that’s not the case, then find a proper girlfriend. Provide an heir for the Feng family."
