Chapter 677: Chapter 427: The Spin-Off Really Blinded (2)

Tian Xin met his fury with her pure gaze, steadfastly looking at him.

When the red light turned green, the vehicles on both sides of the road had already started moving away, and the cars behind were honking, but Tang Baijin did not drive off; he too was staring at her.

A woman who once lost her most cherished purity never mentioned a word to him, nor harbored a shred of resentment. She lived simply and innocently.

It was precisely because of this that he was deeply struck. When he decided to let go of everything and love her, he should have been prepared to face everything that would come.

Eventually, he said nothing more and drove her back to the office, yet his other hand was holding hers.

Tian Xin felt this was dangerous. She tried to pull her small hand back, but he held it even tighter.

She glanced at him, and he said, "I’ll be careful."

He would drive carefully; there would be no accident.

On the way, neither of them spoke again.

The car surged down the road.

Emotions flowed through their fingertips.

He would hold her hand firmly, never letting go. Of course, he wouldn’t let her let go either.

Upon reaching the securities company building, Tian Xin got out of the car. Tang Baijin called out to her, "After work, I’ll pick you up!"

"Okay!" Tian Xin turned and went upstairs. The moment she entered the elevator, she saw Tang Baijin still watching her retreating figure.

Tian Xin entered the elevator where there weren’t many people. She leaned against the corner of the elevator, her mind not in the mood to untangle her jumbled thoughts.

Tian Xin returned to the company for a busy afternoon. Work always helps one forget worries temporarily, although everyone knows it’s just a way of evading reality. But people are like this, knowing it but still doing it.

She was the last to leave. Her colleagues had all departed one after another. She packed the files on her desk and went to get some water. That’s when she saw Tang Baijin’s car parked there.

Drinking water, Tian Xin yet felt a happiness flowing inside her, amidst which a boundless sourness and sadness inevitably arrived.

Tang Baijin did not rush her to come downstairs, perhaps at their age, rather than talking about an earth-shattering romance, it’s better to protect each other and live a long, gentle life.

He lit a cigarette and saw Tian Xin walking towards him.

She quietly got in the car, willing to let him take her anywhere.

"To the mountaintop!" he said.

"Okay!" This was Tian Xin’s second time.

She prepared dinner, and the two sat across from each other like an ordinary couple returning home from work.

Dining under the stars, with the evening breeze gently caressing, brought a refreshing coolness.

"I feel like having a drink!" Tian Xin looked at him.

Tang Baijin glanced at her, fetched some red wine and glasses, "How’s your tolerance?"

"Very good!" Tian Xin snorted.

Tang Baijin snorted too, "Then you have to make sure not to get drunk. Otherwise, I can’t guarantee what might happen tonight."

Tian Xin ignored what he said and took a glass of wine, downing it in one gulp.

She drank fiercely, as if to vent all the suffocating feelings from her chest.

To her, the sweet red wine still had a taste of sorrow.

Yet, with this man, she was willing to forget all her troubles and vow to share the bright moon unto the ends of the earth.

"Why aren’t you drinking?" After downing several glasses in a row, she noticed that his glass hadn’t been touched.

Tang Baijin gazed at the flush on her face and said, "I’m saving room to eat someone later."

Tian Xin laughed out loud: "Ulterior motives!"

She continued to drink and then eat, "I’m hungry..."

"I’m hungry too..." He hinted at a different kind of hunger.

After drinking a bit of liquor, Tian Xin became even more frank: "That hunger is not this hunger, Tang Baijin, you’ve got bugs in your brain! Be careful or those bugs might eat up all the inspiration for your architectural designs, then you’ll be in trouble!"

"Don’t worry, I’ve still got your replenishments." Tang Baijin ate the food, Tian Xin’s dishes always had that cozy, homemade feel, and his fondness for them grew, but he still had to make her cook exclusively for him alone.

Tian Xin hummed: "Even if I had bugs, I wouldn’t give them to you!"

"You have bugs?" Tang Baijin moved closer to her, "Help me look for them, where are they?"

As he said this, he reached out to search for the bugs, and Tian Xin playfully struggled with him. They tumbled about, spilling wine everywhere, and after tiring themselves out, they lay on the lawn to watch the stars.

At night, Tang Baijin took her home, and before entering her house, Tian Xin wrapped her arms around his waist, "Thank you for the red wine, thank you for your roof, and the beautiful lawn... Goodnight!"

After she had gone in, Tian Xin’s mother was still awake. She saw Tang Baijin downstairs, "Why didn’t you invite him up for a sit?"

"He’s going back." Tian Xin said, "He has to work tomorrow, we shouldn’t delay him."

"I thought you weren’t coming back tonight!" Mrs. Tian looked at her.

Tian Xin didn’t say anything.

Mrs. Tian looked at her: "What’s wrong? Did you two have an argument?"

"No." Tian Xin sat down next to her mother, "Mom, what’s good about me?"

Mrs. Tian smiled: "You are my daughter, however you are, you are good! In a mother’s eyes, her daughter is peerless."

Tian Xin also smiled. Maybe in the eyes of someone who loves her, although she’s not perfect, because of love, she is flawless.

...

Early the next morning, Tian Xin still brought soup to Yang Junyi, and he was very happy when he knew she had come.

A nurse told Tian Xin that after she left, Yang Junyi would always lapse into a subtle sadness, and it was only when she came to visit that he would find a brief moment of happiness.

But Yang Junyi would not show it in front of her; as long as he saw her, he felt the world was still wonderful. Even if he couldn’t see with his eyes, as long as she was there, he would listen to the world with his heart.

"Junyi, soup’s here!" Tian Xin tried to keep the mood lively, "Look, I made wolfberry soup, traditional medicine says it’s good for the eyes, give it a try!"

"It smells good..." Yang Junyi said, "Thank you, Tian Xin..."

"Don’t speak so formally." Tian Xin handed him the bowl, "I think you’ll definitely get better..."

"I will!" Yang Junyi said, he would try his best, even if just for her.

Tian Xin sat beside him, waiting for him to drink his soup, he said: "It’s almost time for work, it’s already eight o’clock, you should go! Don’t drive fast, take it slow, and besides, it’s rush hour now, you have to factor in traffic."

"How do you know it’s eight o’clock?" Tian Xin thought that if she couldn’t see, she wouldn’t know it was eight o’clock either.

Yang Junyi, however, smiled: "The cleaning staff come to clean the room at six in the morning, the nurses come to the room at eight in the morning to take the patient’s blood pressure and give them injections, I hear them working, so I guess it’s already eight o’clock."

Tian Xin looked outside: "Yes, Junyi, listening to you say that, it seems you also love the profession of a doctor and can’t let go of the patients, so, you must get better, okay?"

"Okay." Yang Junyi nodded seriously.

Tian Xin left the hospital and drove to work, only to be intercepted by Tang Baijin!

"Where’s my soup?" Tang Baijin spoke with a sour tone.

Tian Xin stared at him: "Don’t you have to go to work?"

"I have the freedom to work in my studio." Tang Baijin said, he couldn’t let go of Tian Xin, knowing full well that she was soft-hearted and kind, yet he was still frustrated!

Tian Xin "Oh"ed, and as she was about to drive off, Tang Baijin jumped into her car. He sat in the back seat, wrapped his arms around her and the seat, and gave her a deep kiss that spoke of his longing and jealousy.
