CASSANDRA: The Unfavored Princess-Chapter 110: Something Is Wrong
Princess Cassandra looked out in a hurry.
It was nighttime. Although the castle was surrounded by the never-ending darkness, the castle itself was shining brightly.
"Let’s go." Princess Teimei said as the door to the carriage was opened.
Princess Cassandra saw Princess Teimei going down as a man extend his hand towards the Princess. The man was unknown to Princess Cassandra.
’I have not seen him before.’
’Is he from Vivere Kingdom?’
But before Cassandra had a chance to ask she saw Princess Teimei kiss the man wholeheartedly.
’I guess I do not need to ask anything now.’
Princess Cassandra stood as she was about to walk outside two hands stood in front of her. Cassandra’s moments stopped as she looked at the people who were staring at her.
Princess Cassandra could see Lord Bentham and Ed giving their hands to her. A smile formed on her face.
’Which one should I take?’
Cassandra looked between the two men who were confident that she would hold their hands only. Cassandra smiled but did not show any emotions.
’I should take Lord Bentham’s hands here.’
’I know Duke Salvador will understand.’
Cassandra looked around as almost everyone was staring at them. ’I have to take Lord Bentham’s hand.’
Princess Cassandra extended her hand towards lord Bentham but as she was about to put her hand there she held Duke Salvador’s hand with the second hand. Cassandra smiled at Lord Bentham as she held his hand next and came out with the help of both of them.
"I trust Ed more than my life, Lord. I hope you will understand." Princess Casandra’s voice was low but it was enough for them both to understand.
Princess Teimei and Prince Carl did not understand what was going on between the three but the smile on their face had long been gone.
"Mother and Father are waiting for us." Princess Teimei said as she held the man’s hand and walked inside. Prince Carl looked at Lord Bentham as he smiled. "We need to go now."
Lord Bentham’s sight moved towards the fifth Princess who left his hand yet still held her guard’s hand. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
Achard Bentham did not want to create any unwanted fight here so he simply nodded and walked inside the castle with Prince Carl.
Cassandra’s eyes narrowed as she started walking inside. Her legs were still sleeping as she held Ed’s hand for support.
"What is wrong?" Duke Salvador said in a low tone.
"Cassandra looked into Duke Salvador’s eyes as she swallowed. "Your eyes have become more red."
"And you’re blue," Aiden whispered as he saw Amy walking near Cassandra.
"Princess .." Amy whispered as she could sense something. "I have a bad feeling. I feel like someone is watching us."
Cassandra and Aiden looked around in the surroundings.
"They are watching us from the surrounding," Cassandra murmured. "Let’s talk when we are alone," Cassandra said with a smile trying to portray as if everything was normal.
Soon they followed Prince Carl and Lord Bentham inside the castle.
Cassandra smiled as she saw everyone bow to them. "The Princess should rest. The King and Queen will meet you tomorrow morning."
Cassandra nodded at Princess Teimei’s words. "They will take you to your room." She pointed at the two maids who bowed before Princess Cassandra.
Cassandra followed them as she was followed by the Duke and Amy. "Where is Lord Bentham?" Cassandra asked in a low tone.
One of the two maids looked back as she replied in a stiff tone. "He will be in his room sleeping."
But Cassandra could hear their thoughts clearly.
[Why did the Prince and princess have to bring such impure blood again in the Kingdom.]
[She even brought people to contaminate our holy land.]
[At least they brought Lord Achard back.]
[The Duke would be so happy to see his son here.]
Princess Cassandra’s moment stops. She stood still in shock until the maids looked at her. "Princess .."
Cassandra came back to her senses. She shook her head as she continued walking.
Both Amy and Aiden looked at each other as they understood something was wrong. Princess Cassandra was behaving unusually.
"This will be your room." The maids opened a room as she waited for Princess Cassandra to enter.
Cassandra looked at the room. It was decorated luxuriously. She could tell that living there would be filled with comfort.
’It looks like the Empress’s room.’
Cassandra thought as she nodded to the mids. "And where will they stay?"
The maids replied in a polite tone. "Your lady in waiting will stay in the room attached to this room to take care of your needs while the guard can sleep with the Knights."
"No." Cassandra shook her head in determination. "Ed will stay near me." Her eyes glowed darker. "I heard in the Vivere Kingdom every Royal lady has two ladies in waiting. There should be two rooms attached to this room right? Let him stay in one of those."
The maids shook their heads. "The lady in waiting shares one room only."
Princess Cassandra’s eyes narrowed. She looked at the maids who had not denied having a second attached room.
"I need to talk with Princess Teimei." Cassandra demanded. Her voice was filled with irritation.
"That ..." The maids looked at each other as they hesitated.
Cassandra was feeling uneasy as she took a step towards the maids. Her heart was unsteady as if something was wrong with her. Cassandra’s eyes glowed brightly as she looked at one of the maids. "Breing Princess Teimei here."
Aiden looked at the situation that was created as he took a step forward. "It is okay. You can show me to my room."
The maids sigh a breath of relief as they look at Princess Cassandra before bowing their heads and leaving.
Cassandra looked at Aiden who nodded his head towards her. His indication was normal. I will come to find you.
But Cassandra could feel that Aiden’s eyes were focused on her hand. Cassandra did not understand it at first but soon her eyes shifted towards it. She saw that the mark that was created by Princess Teimei was glowing.
"Something is wrong," Cassandra murmured as she looked at Amy who was looking at her.
Cassandra did not want to involve Amy in things but she felt like she had no other choice. "Amy, do you feel unusual?"
Amy nodded her head. "It feels like my powers have increased. I have a weird sense of aura near me."
Cassandra’s eyes narrowed as she nodded her head. "Get some rest for now and we will talk about it tomorrow."
Amy did not want to leave Princess Cassandra alone but she could sense that the Princess needed some alone time. "Yes, Princess."
Amy walked towards her attached room as she closed the door before looking at the fifth Princess for the last time.
Princess Cassandra smiled as she saw Amy’s thoughts.
[I know Princess Cassandra is hiding something but I do not want to ask her.]
[If the Princess thinks I am trustworthy she will tell me.]
[But this place has something in it.]
[I feel like the earth is calling me.]
[I have never felt like this in the Elvira Empire.]
Cassandra’s eyes sharpened. ’Amy, I want to tell you but I am afraid that I will bring danger towards you.’
’I do not want to put you in harm’s way.’
Cassandra took a few deep breaths as she walked into the room. She touched everything that came in her way, from tables to curtains, from flower pots to the paintings hanging on the wall.
Cassandra walked towards the bed and fell on it carelessly. She did not know what to think anymore.
Cassandra looked at her hand as she saw the mark becoming lighter.
’Princess Teimei said that the mark will disappear once my powers increase.’
’So did my power increase?’
’Is it the reason why the mark has fainted?’
Cassandra ran her finger over her mark as she narrowed her gaze.
’Amy said that the power here is unusual.’
’If she could feel powerful then so can I.’
’Should I try?’
Cassandra got up from the bed as she folded her legs and sat looking towards the window. She could feel the cold wind blowing towards her, giving her a feeling of refreshment.
Princess Cassandra felt like all of her stress and tiredness had been washed off.
’Time to confirm.’
Princess Cassandra took a deep breath as she closed her eyes. Only the sound of surroundings could be heard as a smile played on her face unknowingly.
Cassandra centered her concentration towards herself like she had taught Amy and Duke Salvador to do and soon She was surrounded by the darkness.
Cassandra opened her eyes in her soul as she could see that the darkness was not still. It was moving. As if it was avoiding something with all of its power and yet occupying the space.
Cassandra could not resist herself as she walked towards the thing it was avoiding and touched it.
