CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror-Chapter 165: Titan
Selina grabbed the mane of the lion and pulled its back. She jumped back into the altar building, away from the eyes and ears of the Psychics.
Her jump was high and heavy. They could hear a loud thud as she landed back on the ground far away.
Some Psychic gulped involuntarily.
"Big sister Selina is scary!" A Psychic said.
"What is that armor? I didn’t see Big Sister wear that before."
"Probably a Psychic Skill? I don’t know for sure."
The Psychics talked amongst themselves, trying to figure out the truth. They weren’t worried about Selina. She looked more than capable of handling herself. The ones who needed to worry were the NCEs.
Detective Flintstone swiped his forehead full of sweat, "Well. She seems to be able to handle it."
"Should we call off the reinforcement?" An agent said.
Detective Flintstone waved his hand dismissively, "That would be too troublesome. Let them come either way. We might need them."
Selina landed on the wooden floorboards and dragged the lion wraith through several meters. She then tossed the lion wraith into the air.
A strip of shadow bolted past the lion wraith. With two curved swords in his hands, Crow sliced the lion wraith in two, killing it instantly.
Aurora was still in her true form. In this form, her offense was greater than every servant.
She trapped the blue, red, and green wraith in three separated Glacial Coffins. Glacial Lances shot out from the surface of the clear ice and from the surface below. They pierced the three wraiths into a sponge full of holes.
Mater bit at the other wing of the bird wraith and tore its wing apart. He then released a Desperation Scream, sending the bird wraith down to the ground.
Bash rushed at it. He picked up the bird wraith and continued charging. The Infernal Demon slammed onto the bear wraith while still holding the bird wraith.
The large demon grabbed the two demons at the same time and jumped up. In mid-air, he released two devastating punches that sent both wraiths onto the ground. The heavy demon then landed its large body onto the two wraiths, crushing them into bits.
Mater pulled in all the Chaos inside the dissipating wraiths. All six of them. Each provided 11 Chaos Spheres.
This made Mater’s total Chaos Spheres to 264.
"You have all done well. I will let you return to your Shrines soon. For now, go back to the Dark Grimoire."
"Yes, Master!" Crow and Aurora bowed as they jumped back into the leathery book.
"Bash go!" Bash patted his chest a few times before following the others.
Mater then looked over to Selina, "You’re alright?"
Selina nodded, "Wearing this thing really can be very addicting. All the pain and discomfort coming from my Psycho Force is gone. I should remove it."
The black jaguar tapped its chin a few times then said, "Maybe not yet. We will need to face the people outside. You in this state will be able to deal with it better."
"You’re right." Selina nodded. She might behave differently in this form but she was still herself. And Selina always listened to Mater.
"The Rituals are completely exhausted now. Before we go, I need to destroy it."
Mater marched toward the living quarters and Selina followed him. The Ritual Circles were a great source of farming Chaos. But these things were related to higher beings. Leaving them there would allow those beings to leak more into this world.
Mater couldn’t allow that. The consequences were just too heavy to let them exist.
Mater uses Hellfire’s Pit to burn all the rituals away. Hellfire was the least destructive amongst the three hellish energies. But it had a very good characteristic. It could literally burn anything, even abstract concepts like the soul.
As the rituals withered away, silver strands materialized into existence and floated to Mater.
Those were the opposite energy of Chaos. Warlock called them Order. Some called them Fate. A few named it as Karma. It was the thing that maintained the order of the universe and all the rules within. Some supernatural pathways used this energy exclusively to gain power.
Mater slapped those silver strands away and they dissolved back into the fabric of reality.
"Get off me, you filthy Order. I’m a pure Chaos Warlock."
Mater didn’t want any Order. He was a purist through and through.
The jaguar turned back and left with Selina. Suddenly, it walked backwards and went inside the room again.
"Is something wrong, Mr. Mater?" Selina said.
"I think there is something underneath the floorboards."
Mater pierced his large jaguar’s claws through the floorboards, revealing some sort of object underneath.
"There is something down there." Selina reached down and pulled it up.
It was a very particular object. Almost like a sculpture. It was two circles constantly rotating within each other. Chaos slowly formed inside the sculpture.
"A relic?" Selina said.
"A spiritual item actually. Let me see that."
The jaguar took the item and examined it. It was an artificial spiritual item. Similar to the metal device that Mater got from Dr. Ziegler.
"Its only function is to gather the free-roaming Chaos and store it." The jaguar growled deeply.
"Useful?" Selina said.
"Very. I can use this for my third Demonic Item."
Mater and Selina then went straight out the mansion. They didn’t bother looting the place. The mansion was cleaned thoroughly by the ACPD. If there was something left behind, the numerous Psychics must have taken them already.
They approached the main entrance of the mansion.
All the Psychics and government personnels gathered at the entrance. They were all waiting patiently and looking over the mansion.
When they saw the two of them, everyone stood up.
"That is... Big Sister Selina. She looks so different."
"That panther. Where did it come from?!"
"It’s her black cat, you fool!"
Loretta and Becky approached Selina immediately.
"Are you okay, Selina?" Becky said. She couldn’t help but glance over to Mater. That smug black cat had become a fearsome jaguar. She swore she saw it smirked at her.
Selina nodded, "It is done. The wraiths are dealt with. They won’t reappear."
Detective Flintstone let out a long relieved breath, "That’s good. I was worried that you might not make it. I did call for some reinforcement but they didn’t seem necessary anymore."
"Who did you call?" Selina said.
"Me." John marched forward. All the Psychics made way for him.
He smiled arrogantly and nodded as if he already expected the shock expression of Selina and the Psychics.
"You’re correct. You are seeing Titan in flesh and bone."
Selina titled her head and scanned the man with blonde hair. She didn’t have any emotions toward him, only finding his choice of clothing extremely poor.
"Who?" Selina said.
