CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror-Chapter 220: The White Rat
"Come, Master."
Leslie went to his computer and put on a video for Mater.
"I put the GOD compound into a rat. It actively attacked the cells inside the animal and then replaced the cores inside it. Once it took control, the compound began to rewrite the rat’s genetic footprints... aggressively."
Leslie led Mater in front of a glass box with quite a few rats inside. Most of them were dead with blue liquid leaking out of their eyes.
"Most of them died. But the strongest one was able to survive. Look at that little guy." Leslie pointed at a white rat.
The rat looked up. Its body floated to the air and slammed into the glass box. The impact shook the table but it wasn’t able to get through.
"Reinforced glass. These things could take on a heavy caliber sniper bullet for days. If it was normal glass, the rat would have broken it." Leslie said.
"Oh... Very interesting indeed."
Mater faced the glass box and meowed, "Can you communicate, rat?"
Most of the animals Mater came across could only say incomprehensible words or repeat some lines with their instinct. The only animal with a hint of intelligence he found was the dog in the tailor shop. But even it had very limited wisdom.
The rat looked up to Mater, "Big scary cat. What do you want from me?"
Others could only hear the rat chirping but Mater could understand it.
"Oh? You’re a civilized being?" The black cat meowed.
"This man bestowed me with a conscience." The white rat replied.
"What is your power, rat?" The black cat said.
The white rat looked around, it was concerned about the human around.
"Not here. I can’t show them. They would use me." The white rat squeaked.
"You are safe with me, rat. They are my servants." Mater stroked his whiskers arrogantly.
"You’re able to enslave the big scary humans?" The white rat was obviously impressed.
"I will enslave them all soon, rat. That is my goal."
"Can I be your servant?" The white rat said.
"Oh? You don’t even know who I am and you asked me that?"
"From what I’m seeing. I either die here like those weak rats or be used by the humans until they don’t need me anymore. You are the best bet I have to survive." The white rat squeaked.
"Interesting. You strike me as a wise rat. Show me your power and don’t hide anything.
If you intrigue me enough, I will keep you."
"Don’t worry. I won’t hide."
The white rat ran in a circle. Suddenly it transformed into a human. The small glass box was just enough for it to fit but it was unable to stand up straight and had to curl its body tightly.
"What the... I don’t even know it can do that!" Leslie blurted out.
Selina smiled.
The white rat transformed into a small girl, around Becky’s size. Its hair was white. Even its eyebrows were pure white. It looked very similar to Aurora in a sense.
"You can transform? What is the limit of your power? Is this temporary, physically or an illusion?" The black cat grinned widely.
"This isn’t an illusion. I can transform at will. The transformation is permanent until I use more Chaos to turn back."
"Chaos... How do you know that term?"
"It told me. The breaker of the universe."
The black cat couldn’t hold in his happiness. It covered its face and laughed menacingly.
"I can’t believe it. There is an Awaken in this world. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! DO YOU KNOW HOW RARE IT IS FOR SOMEONE LIKE YOU TO EXIST?"
The female shook her head. "I just listened to it."
Awaken Chaos User. These Users could tap into the pure primal force of reality and learn from it.
Chaos User in Mater’s world had a beginning. It stemmed from an Awaken just like this rat. They were able to naturally advance in their rank without creating locks like Mater or his servants. Chaos wanted them to excel.
"Which path have you taken? Chaos Magic?" Mater said.
The female closed her eyes. The Chaos around her shook a little bit before settling down.
"Chaos Magic does exist in this world but it is not native. I can feel it invaded from other worlds. One of the biggest sources of Chaos Magic I sense... is you. Mater Evol Heracy."
The female smiled.
The black cat’s golden eyes changed. They turned into the horrifying Octagram that looked deep into the rat’s soul.
"You know my true name... You shouldn’t have revealed that." The black cat’s deep voice echoed.
"It told me... It told me your destiny is grand, Heracy. I can see it. A seat of Chaos is reserved for you. By following you, I can become immortal.
This is not a threat, Master. This is a request. I am giving myself to you."
The female smiled gently. Mater could feel that it just opened its Chaos Singularity wide for him.
"Your eyes. They’re the sign of a supreme path. You are destined to be great. They could penetrate into my Psycho Force. Look inside." The female said.
Mater couldn’t pass up on that offer. The new mutated spell Octagram Chaos Eyes allowed him to penetrate another Psycho Force. This wasn’t an ability this spell had in the past.
The original Octagram Chaos Eyes had red irises like the Rank-1 Chaos Eyes with Octagram symbol surrounding it.
Mater’s Octagram built itself into the irises and turned his entire eye black. They were very similar but also hugely different.
"As you wish."
The Octagrams in both of his eyes spun. It floated out of his eyeballs and hovered slightly in the air. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
Two faint red beams shot into the female. The rat had a Psycho Force similar to the Chaos Users of this world. It wasn’t a Blood Circuit like what Mater had.
Inside the Psycho Force, Mater could see anything and feel anything. The past of the rat, its current feelings, and its intention.
"I see. This is what penetrating a Psycho Force means... But there is something else."
Inside the Psycho Force lay the core of the Chaos User. The Core of their Chaos Singularity. Mater wrapped his own Chaos around it. From that day on, the rat had belonged to him.
It was an even stricter enslavement than the Warlock Seal.
The Submission Seal made the servants loyal, allowed Mater to read their thoughts and communicated with them telepathically.
But this enslavement allowed him to take full control of the being he enslaved, even manipulating their thoughts and body.
Mater deactivated the Octagram Chaos Eyes. The black cat smiled.
"You did a huge gamble today, rat." The black cat’s deep voice echoed.
"I bet on the house. And the house always wins." The rat smiled.
