"This is the place where you had proposed to me... It is the lake your grandfather used to take you often!" Jing Lihua excitedly said.

A fresh breeze blew, scattering her long hair in the air. In the dark night, her green eyes seemed to shine like a precious gemstone. They were simply bewitching.

"You remembered?" Li Zhiqiang asked silently.

Evasive delight sparked momentarily in his eyes.

"So this was what you seemed to be troubled about?" Jing Lihua immediately understood why Li Zhiqiang appeared apprehensive. "You thought I won't be able to remember this place?"

"The doctor said that the memories you would recover might not be as clear as the original memories. Even then, there were chances where you won't be able to recover some of your memories."

Jing Lihua sighed. "President Li! You could have asked me directly!" This place was an important milestone in their relationship. So it seemed it held an important space in Li Zhiqiang's heart. It would have hit him hard if she hadn't been able to remember this.

But it was the same for Jing Lihua.

If this was an important place for him, Jing Lihua had also made the most precious memories of her at this place. How could she easily forget such an important place?

"Didn't you say that visiting the places would trigger my memories? Actually, this place had also become important to me... Jing Lihua glanced back at the Gazebo that was situated in the middle of the lake.

Over the snow-white deck that curved from the beautiful Gazebo, she spotted a small furball rolling towards them. "What is it... Little fussy?"

Before leaving for the Islands, she had left the little kitten in Mei Xiu care. 

The little kitten walked slowly towards them before jumping into Jing Lihua's arms. A moment later, it curled into her arm. "Huh? What's wrong?" Fussy would rarely take the initiative to jump into her lap.

She would mostly avoid physical contact at all costs.

"Li Zhiqiang, did you bully her?" Jing Lihua glared at him.

Li Zhiqiang. "..." 

"How could I bully her? I have been with you all the time."

"You left her alone in such a place. If that's not bullying than what? Poor kitten, she must be terrified!" Jing Lihua harrumphed.

Li Zhiqiang shook his head helplessly. "I tried all I could. She wouldn't get into the helicopter."

"Even for that, you are to blame! You must have scared her!"

More like, she was too lazy.

ghed. It was useless bickering with Jing Lihua when she would always take that cat's side. "Let's go. I have arranged for dinner."

After the vine, Jing Lihua was indeed a little hungry. How could she say no to delicious food? Even though she had had dinner before, she was interrupted by Su Lanfan so she couldn't eat to her fill. She eagerly agreed and they both took their seats under the beautiful Gazebo

After dinner, Jing Lihua was admiring the beautiful scenery and reliving the memories from the last time, she was here. Out of sudden, she felt arms encircling around her and pulling her into a warm embrace.

"Do you remember when the last time we came here, what we had agreed upon?" Li Zhiqiang's voice came from her back.

Jing Lihua's eyes hazed for a second as she recalled the specific memories. "That the next time we visit, we would already be a legal couple."

At that point, she felt something cold slipping into her finger. Jing Lihua was awed as she glanced down at her hand. A multicolored diamond ring now embellished her hand. Jing Lihua was about to speak when she sensed a finger on her lips. "Don't object. I can't wait anymore." 

Jing Lihua remembered the ring from last time. It was the 'Li' family heirloom. Its worth couldn't amount in numbers. It was simply the one in the world; no other ring could replace it.

It was passed down from generations always belonging to the firstborn in the 'Li family. Prior to this, the ring belonged to Madam Bao.

Jing Liha grabbed his hand and took his fingers off her lips. "I was not going to object." Her tone had a tinge of softness. Then she glanced down at her hand.

"Did your mother easily give it back to you?" Jing Lihua asked in amazement while inspecting the ring. After all, the last time Li Zhiqiang had put that ring on her, she had been unable to keep it.

Li Zhiqiang observed that Jing Lihua didn't have any intention to take the ring off. His tense expressions relaxed somewhat. "You should thank that she didn't put it on you herself."

"Your mother... She is so different." Jing Lihua said after a laugh. "Exactly where you got your quirks from."

During their flight back to the Islands, Jing Lihua received a message from Mei Xiu updating her about the progress of the things back at her company. Jing Lihua smirked.

"What are you so happy about?"

"The fish has taken the bait." Jing Lihua announced. 

"You could have let them use the real document. Why did you have to go all the way around?" Li Zhiqiang understood at once what she was talking about.

Jing Lihua sighed. "Give them the real document and when it is out, you will not take any action against me. Wouldn't that expose our relationship?"

qiang lips pursed together.

"Wait... Is it not what you want?" Jing Lihua squinted her eyes at him.

Li Zhiqiang shrugged.

Of course, it was what he wanted!

Although, that contract appeared to be a pretty big deal but for someone at the level of Li Zhiqiang. it was just a small business arrangement. In Hong Kong, he dealt with far more important matters.

 "Can't you wait a bit. I am already wearing your ring... I am already wearing your ring. It's just a matter of time before everyone knows. Besides, you still have to get your grandparents' approval..." Jing Lihua's eyes dimmed as she said that.
