Chapter 216: Getting cheeky

All of them were stunned into silence. Their mouths opened in big Os as they gaped speechlessly. Though none of them said a single word, their expressions said. 'What the actual...heck?!'

Their idol was actually...here to escort a woman who was abandoned; someone they jeered at not a moment ago; someone who they assumed didn't even deserve their derision?

Their regal and otherwordly idol was here to escort...her?!

In a moment, they felt blood rushing up to their mouth.

No, they refused to believe this absurdity!

"There must be a mistake!" One of them squealed.

All of their previous enthusiasm was replaced with denial shortly followed by panic as they observed how close Zhou Liqin stood to Jing Lihua.

"We-Can't we do something about this?"

"Should we go and try to persuade Zhou Liqin? What if the Su family takes offense upon him and ends up harming him?"

"Righ, right we must persuade him! He must not enter the venue with that woman!"

"So what are we waiting for? Let's go!"

"What do you mean by nudging me? You were the one who came up with this idea. You should be going to talk to him!"

And thus, their agreement to 'save' their idol died down just like that. Although every one of them wanted the same, none of them was willing to take the initiative and invite the risk.

Jing Lihua could hear those fangirls frantic cries. She sighed, helplessly.

Her brows knitted together as she silently contemplated while observing that dashing man who rained down from the sky on a sunny day. Her expressions clearly read: 'Now what am I supposed to do with this situation?'

Zhou Liqin stood a couple of steps away from her. Noticing her observing him intently, he flashed her a blinding smile while lightning up like a radiant moon in the dark night.

"OMG! Did Zhou Liqin just smile?"

"I am blinded. Someone take me to a hospital. Ah!"

"Did you take a nice shot? Zhou Liqing is no big deal. Also, he looks so stunning while smiling! We can get a prize for a single photo of his. That would be multiplied by tens for a smiling one!"

"Yes, yes I took a perfect shot! And also standing by Jing Lihua side, they look like a perfect couple! It will give more hype to the news!"

"Keep alert! He might smile again! We must not let this once in a lifetime opportunity slip! And make sure to get the two together!"

Jing Lihua: "..."

'Can you guys stop? If you manage to publish these photos do you have any idea what would a certain jealous Devil to me? Ahhh, sorry Heng Bingwen I might have to have you work to get those pictures down!'

If it was one of those females crowding the entrance who

had witnesses Zhou Liqin smile so close, they would have smoothly fainted with grace. However, Jing Lihua had a totally different result.

Zhou Liqin was fairly puzzled noticing her not-so-happy expressions.

Quite incomprehensible, in Zhou Liqin's words. Then he recalled Ying'er words. 'She indeed said that her friend might be a difficult one to tackle.'

His puzzled expressions slowly dissolved into understanding. His blinding smile resumed; not as radiant as before but still a nice shot.

So what if his smile didn't work? He was a superstar for no reason! He could make use of his next stratagem aka his flowery words. No words could bear the attack of that! He was certain.

However, Jing Lihua sensed his intentions and took action immediately before he could start another round of nonsense that created another unredeemable situation.

"You might as well have the honor to escort me!" Jing Lihua immediately hooked her arm to his outstretched one and led him away from the spotlight.

Once the women noticed Jing Lihua having physical contact with their idol, they felt like peeling off her skin. Some of them even overcame their initial reluctance and were ready to step forward and show her where she belonged.

But Jing Lihua had already guessed their intentions. She sped up, almost running as she dragged Zhou Liqin behind her.

"Aiye... what are you doing? Slow down. We are not being chased down by some assassin."

"What I am doing? Of course! Taking the honor of having being escorted by a superstar." Jing Lihua forced a smile on her face and stared at him.

If he was wise, he would see the warming in her eyes and shut up.

Luckily he was. He noticed the killing intent in her eyes and obediently shut himself up. Though he obeyed, he felt quite weird. 'Ying'er did say her friend might be difficult. But she didn't say...she was so...aberrant...ah!'

So, they disappeared from the scene in a matter of no time leaving a somewhat speechless audience at the entrance.

Once inside, Jing Lihua immediately unhooked her arm from him. Getting free, she immediately dialed up to Heng Bingwen and tasked him to get his ass up and clean up the mess.

"JieJie... I might get your job done, but the person you are trying to hide it from might find anyway." Heng Bingwen said very politely, being mindful to make his JieJie ready for any adverse circumstances in the future. However, there was a hint of tease in his tone.

The second Jing Lihua heard this, she recalled how that day at the office, she had been...caught red-handed. Her face reddened in embarrassment. "You- Brat, just do what I have asked you to! What person I am hiding it from? Don't overthink things! I am doing this solely for my company!"

"Yes, yes! right away Jiejie, I believe you!" Heng Bingwen vehemen

tly said; this time there was an obvious taunt in his tone.

"You-" However, the call was disconnected. It was as this instant Jing Lihua regretted giving that brat the liberty of calling her JieJie. He was getting cheeky.

Looks like she needed to discipline him after getting back. Jing Lihua's eyes darkened as she devised plans in her head.

Zhou Liqin who had been standing frozen witnessing the whole situation was somewhat speechless. He coughed lightly to make his presence obvious.

Jing Lihua's eyes shifted.

'Ah, right! Before Heng Bingwen there was still this someone she needed to deal with."
