CEO, Your Wife Has Left-Chapter 30: A Beautiful Night
"I’ve... I’ve seen him."
"When?"
"In college." Summer Lancaster felt like her heart was about to stop, but the man in front of her seemed completely unfazed.
"Why are you paying attention to him?" Kenneth Yates asked relentlessly.
"My friend has had a crush on him for years."
After Summer Lancaster said this, Kenneth Yates moved away from her.
"Haha, well, you can tell your friend to give up," Kenneth Yates said, finding the whole thing hilarious.
"Why?" Summer Lancaster was very confused.
"That guy, Dominic... he doesn’t do serious relationships."
"Then isn’t that just like you!" Summer Lancaster looked at him with an innocent expression.
Kenneth Yates moved close to her again. "Summer Lancaster, do you know what you’re saying?"
"I kno—MMF." Kenneth Yates’s lips suddenly descended on hers. Summer Lancaster hurriedly pushed him away. "Kenneth Yates, what are you doing? We’re on the street!"
Kenneth Yates took her hand. "Then let’s go home." Before Summer Lancaster could respond, he pulled her upstairs.
The moment they were inside, Kenneth Yates pinned her against the door and kissed her furiously, as if trying to devour her. Summer Lancaster’s hands hovered in the air, unsure of what to do. She was lost in his kiss, her body going limp against his. Hesitantly, she placed her hands on his back. Feeling her touch, Kenneth Yates lost even more control, and a soft moan escaped Summer Lancaster’s lips. He felt like he’d reached his absolute limit and desperately needed a release.
Kenneth Yates swept Summer Lancaster into his arms and carried her toward the bedroom. Her eyes were still enchantingly bewitching. Reaching the bed, he eagerly placed her down, his dark silhouette looming over hers... It was a beautiful night...
The next morning, Summer Lancaster opened her eyes to find a certain half-naked man staring at her with a hungry gaze, and she was currently sleeping in his arms. She quickly burrowed under the covers, only to belatedly realize the state of undress they were both in beneath the sheets.
"AHH—" Summer Lancaster’s face turned as red as a boiled shrimp.
"I saw everything I was going to see last night. What’s there to be shy about?" Kenneth Yates looked down at her condescendingly.
Summer Lancaster didn’t say a word, just glared at him and wrapped the blanket tightly around herself. As if no one was watching, Kenneth Yates threw off the covers and headed for the bathroom. Summer quickly covered her eyes with her hands, then peeked through a tiny gap between her index and middle fingers. His body was ridiculously good—lean when dressed, but muscular when undressed. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Summer Lancaster quickly got dressed, but the blush on her face refused to fade.
When Kenneth Yates walked out of the bathroom, fully dressed, Summer Lancaster quickly grabbed her phone and pretended to be using it.
"You’re holding your phone upside down," Kenneth Yates said, walking over gracefully. Summer Lancaster looked and saw that he was right. At that moment, she wished she could find a hole to crawl into and disappear.
Kenneth Yates took the phone from her and gently caressed her slightly flushed cheeks.
"Good morning!" His voice lingered by her ear.
"Go get washed up. I’ll take you out for breakfast in a bit!"
"I can make it myself!" Summer Lancaster lifted her small face, defiant.
"Are you sure you still have the energy to cook?" The infuriatingly smug look on Kenneth Yates’s face was the last straw. Unable to stand it, Summer Lancaster hastily fled to the bathroom.
Kenneth Yates sat on the edge of the bed. His gaze fell upon a crimson stain on the snow-white sheets. It was strikingly conspicuous, but a smile crept onto his lips.
Summer Lancaster examined herself from every angle in the mirror. The reason was the numerous "love bites" on her neck that even foundation couldn’t cover. In the end, she had no choice but to wear a high-collared shirt, but they were still visible if she moved too much.
