"She’s afraid to hold it." Old Master Black teased Jane Sampson, "This little lass has never cared much about money. The Black Family gave her a bride price, but if you asked her now, she might not even know what assets are in her name."

James Carter’s lips curved into a smile; he found Jane Sampson quite admirable.
