Chapter 4: Chapter 3:What The Fuck

Micheal Solaris...

In any other world, he could’ve easily been the main character. With golden blond hair that caught the sun’s reflection, an athletic physique, and an imposing height of 6’2", he was the epitome of prime protagonist material. Paired with the fact that he was the son of Bright Sun City’s lord, part of the illustrious Solaris family—a branch of the eastern domain’s overlord, The Calder Imperial Family —he truly had it all.

Unfortunately for him and every other "alpha male" in this institution, I existed...

Not only were my looks superior, but I was also far more imposing. My 6’7" muscular yet compact frame cast a shadow that felt indomitable over everyone.

I was better athletically, better academically, better in combat—I had the school’s queen in my bed every night, biting the sheets to keep from unraveling.

I. AM. HIM

Honestly, I was too good. So good, in fact, that I sensed it was all a setup for an eventual downfall. But I didn’t care; I was going to savor every minute of my superiority. With that thought, I drawled, "Hello~~ Number Two."

The smug smile instantly wiped off his face, granting me a satisfying sense of achievement.

"Humph, you’ve been clowning around long enough, Dante. Today, you’ll see the true difference between a noble and a peasant," he sneered, attempting to intimidate me—classic third-rate side character move.

"Oho, I don’t know much about that, but what I do know is that as of now, you’re still choking on my dust. How’s life from the gutters treating you, my lovely Number Two?" I retorted, completely unfazed, watching his face turn crimson with rage.

"Keep laughing. After today, we’ll see who gets the last laugh," he spat angrily, a sneer curling his lips. "Let’s see if that sexy aunt of yours—"

He couldn’t finish that statement; my fist was already connecting with his nose, and an audible crack rang out as he crashed to the floor.

I stared down at him, my eyes empty and my aura shifting. He made a grave mistake by mentioning her. Nobody talks about my Aunt V—absolutely no one!

With my sleeves rolled up and fists primed for a beating, I glared at his staggering figure. "You mangy bastard, you’ll pay for that," he spat, preparing to retaliate just as—

"Alright, you two, that’s enough," a cold authoritative voice stopped him in his tracks.

Turning slowly, we both saw her. She wore a crisp uniform—one of the few who still bothered—a pristine black top that struggled to contain her ample assets. Her pencil-black skirt hugged her figure deliciously, while a crisp blazer draped casually over her delicate shoulders. She stood with arms folded, pure grace incarnate.

Cara Morningstar, daughter of the prestigious Morningstar lineage, student body president, and my very own girlfriend.

"Cara, he started this," Micheal grunted, still holding his bleeding nose. I just watched, waiting for the slightest slip-up.

"Yeah, and I’m the emperor’s daughter," she replied sarcastically. "I’m not a fool, Micheal, so let it end here," her tone turned cold. Gone was the girl who’d been biting my sheets past night.

So Hot...

I couldn’t help but admire her; no wonder the previous Dante had been head over heels for her.

"Ptui... enjoy your boy toy. Let’s see if you can keep protecting him after today," he spat contemptuously before storming off. I watched him leave, rage still simmering within me. I wanted to hurt him, badly, but I decided to hold off.

"And you—can’t you be less of a troublemaker?" Cara turned to me, adjusting my collar with a teasing smile.

"I wouldn’t be the charming me if I did," I replied, leaning in to place a soft kiss on her lips.

"Okay, okay, enough. Save the rest for after the awakening, when you finally dazzle the whole institution by being Bright Sun’s first SSS talent." Her bright smile illuminated her face, but I frowned internally.

She just jinxed it, didn’t she?

I watched as she walked away, her hips swaying hypnotically, but I wasn’t fazed—not this time. If this were a book, readers could probably guess the kind of plot I’d found myself in. Honestly, I wasn’t surprised; after everything I’d witnessed in Dante’s memories, I felt I was already in it.

"Sighh~~ Let’s just get this over with..."

*********

We gathered at the school’s open field, where the awakening was to take place. A raised platform stood at the center, surrounded by representatives from renowned academies eager to recruit fresh talent and guilds looking for promising skills before they blossomed.

I wouldn’t be surprised if many of my classmates had offers lined up for them, just waiting for their awakenings.

The principal’s lengthy speech finally drew to a close, and the main event began.

"We will be calling names according to achievements," the principal announced, and I felt the eyes of the crowd shift toward me, their intentions clear. They were saving the best for last.

"Great, just great," I muttered silently.

"Amelia Ross," they called out. A pink-haired girl stepped forward, her expression taut. Being first called, it was evident her achievements were below par, and nerves were apparent.

"Step forward and place your palm on the awakening crystal," the usual script followed.

She stepped up, placed her palm on the crystal, and then—weng!!!

A brilliant light enveloped the area, followed by a prompt displayed for all to see:

**Ding!**

*Awakening successful, you have awakened the talent {Swift Blade}(C)...*

The name was imposing; the rank? Not so much.

On Terra, talent ranks went from lowest to highest as follows:

- F

- E

- D

- C

- B

- A

- S

- SS

- SSS

While I could confirm there were tiers beyond those as a bona fide transmigrator, this body didn’t have such knowledge. So, that was that.

It was clear her talent, while not trash, was average at best. On the bright side, such a talent certified her position as a Warrior-class wielder.

Among the six classes—Warrior, Mage, Healer, Archer, Thief, and Lifestyle—the warrior and mage classes were the most sought after, while healers and archers served mostly as support roles and thieves typically fit the rogue and assassin classes.

Although Amelia’s talent was nothing outstanding, she was bound to receive offers from all around.

The ceremony continued as names were called, and those who awoke talents of C-grade or better could finally breathe a sigh of relief. For those who awakened anything less? They were introduced early to how the world treated those it deemed inferior.

"Micheal Solaris!" When it came to the top three, the moment his name was called, he shot me a smug look—one that promised reckoning. With confident strides, he strutted forward, exuding an aura of superiority.

And the moment his palm met the awakening crystal—

Fwooooooosh!!!

A blinding red light engulfed the space, and the temperature soared to staggering degrees. It felt as if the gates of hell had opened, and then came the confirmation:

DINGGG!!!

The sound was louder, more resonant—almost as if the entire world acknowledged something monumental.

Awakening Successful, You’ve Awakened the talent {Flame Emperor’s Mandate}(SS)...

DINGGG!!!

Bloodline successfully awakened, you’ve awakened the bloodline {Solar Essence Bloodline}(SS)

And then silence. A silence so profound that a pin drop could’ve been heard.

*Gulp...*

I couldn’t help it; if this plot was leading where I thought it was, my cheat better be freaking amazing because, WHAT. THE.FUCK...
