Chaplain!-Chapter 14 The Race Against Time
Before the commands were given, Oliver Walker, who was anxious, had stepped on the gas pedal. He was already headed toward the First Hospital.
"Quick! Follow him!"
Leon Williams rode one of the Mercedes and instructed the driver. Then, he turned to his secretary and said, "Call the director of the hospital and gather the best team they have at the hospital. It has to be the best."
Then, Lily Jones rushed forward and screamed, "I am Olivia's homeroom teacher. Please bring me along."
She couldn't care less if the man right in front of her was the first tycoon of Colorado.
She only knew that as Olivia's teacher, she had to be at the hospital now.
This was because she was a teacher!
Leon Williams frowned, but he still waited for her and said, "Come on!"
When Lily Jones got into the car, there were 10 Mercedes that followed right behind the Maybach!
Just when the cars left, Emilia appeared on the scene. She was here for the parent-teacher meeting.
Previously, she didn't have the time since she was busy working.
But this time, no matter what, she wanted to be here with her daughter.
Seeing how the gates were tightly shut, she quickly begged, "Principal Haris! Please! I am terribly sorry. I…. I know I'm late, but please let me in so that I can be there for Olivia's meeting."
She felt guilty!
Because she had not spent much time with her daughter, Olivia was discriminated against. She was not wearing her uniform and was dressed in simple clothes with no makeup on her face.
It was a long white blouse paired with a pair of black pants.
However, it was obvious that both these pieces had been worn for several years. Plus, they were not branded clothes but just pieces sold at the local market.
However, even so, it still didn't conceal the beauty of the goddess!
The parents and teachers at school were looking at her with odd looks in their eyes as they stared at Emilia. Whatever happened a while ago was something that was shocking.
"What's...what's wrong?"
Emilia felt that something wasn't right. Although these people would usually give her strange looks, they would be judgemental and wear disdainful smiles.
But now….she could no longer see the judgment on their faces, but instead, why do they look at her with pity?
Their silence gave her a bad feeling about it.
Principal Haris frowned and answered, "Olivia had an attack, and she is being brought to the First Hospital by her father. You should hurry."
As the principal, he never thought of Emilia as someone shameful.
After all, she was poor and had no other choice.
This was also why he was willing to let go of his pride as an educator to kiss up to the tycoons.
He just wanted to get more sponsors for the school so that more children of poor families could get educated.
Emilia was stunned and tears came out of her eyes, "Olivia!
"Olivia!"
She was turning mad.
She felt as if her soul had left her body. She was running on the road like mad as she cried. Emilia was trying to get to the hospital as soon as possible.
Luckily for her, when she got onto the main road, a cab stopped for her.
"Sir, quick! The First Hospital!"
But soon after that, she cried and said, "No!"
"The…..The Blue Sea Entertainment Club! Quick!"
Without money, the hospital wouldn't admit Olivia!
Without money, how would she be able to save her daughter?
Although George Johnson was a complete asshole, she had no other choice but to look for him.
No matter how big the price was, she still had to save her little girl, Olivia!
She was already abandoned by that man.
Even if she died, she still wouldn't be able to abandon Olivia, whose life had been a joke!
Five minutes later, when the traffic police received the commands, they acted quickly.
They sent out their mobiles and started clearing each of the roads.
Although they had no idea what was happening, the request was sent by the Lieutenant of the garrison state in Colorado. Something big must have happened.
Especially when it's the garrison state of Colorado. They ordered the authorities to take emergency actions.
This was the first time in history that something like this happened.
There was no notice given ahead of time, and everything occurred suddenly.
"Quick! Turn those lights green! Make sure that they are allowed to pass quickly!"
"The cars in front. You are not allowed to use the overtake lane! Those who violate it will have their license revoked! Those who fail to cooperate will be held responsible!"
"..."
There were hundreds of traffic police who stood on each road and guided the traffic.
As for the traffic lights, they were all shining bright green.
Throughout the entire road, there were blaring speakers, radios, and drones making the same announcement.
This was to ensure that everyone on the road got the message.
"What on earth is happening?"
"I don't think there was a notice about this!"
"That Maybach! Why is it that he can use the overtake lane?"
"That's the first tycoon, Leon William's car!"
"Why is it that he has that privilege?"
"Because he's loaded. Isn't that good enough?"
"..."
It was rush hour as everyone was on their way to work. This naturally caused a lot of dissatisfaction amongst the drivers.
But, there was nothing that they could do. He had the money, and so, he was allowed to be ruthless!
In this world, it was always the survival of the fittest!
However, what they didn't know was that the man inside was not Leon Williams. It was someone who was more powerful than Leon Williams.
"Olivia!
"Hang in there!
"Daddy…..Daddy will save you!"
"Even if the death god is here, he isn't allowed to take you away from me!"
This was the first time that Oliver Walker was using his special privilege.
This was because his daughter was more important than anything else.
He had a clear conscience toward his country.
Now, he only wanted to compensate for all the mistakes that he made and give the best to his daughter!
But, Olivia was now unconscious, and she couldn't answer him!
If she knew that the man who attended the meeting was her father, she would be delighted, wouldn't she?
There were no 'ifs' in this world!
When she was awake, she was an obedient little girl.
Now that she was unconscious, she looked like a quiet princess who had fallen into her sweet dreams.
This was because she would only be able to meet her father in her dreams.
Oliver Walker was using the commercial Maybach as a racecar.
At each turning, he repeatedly did multiple difficult turns.
Even when he was already traveling as fast as a rocket, Oliver Walker still felt as if he was a snail crawling on the road.
As for the car that Leon Williams was in, the road was still clear, but he was thrown far behind by the Maybach in front. They couldn't even see the back of the Maybach.
At the same time, after receiving the call from Leon Wiliam's secretary, the doctor immediately gathered his team and started preparing for the surgery.
Yikkkkkkk...
With extreme speed, the journey that was supposed to take 30 minutes only took 8 minutes, and the car was already in front of the hospital entrance.
Well, of course, this had something to do with the help from the traffic police.
"Doctor!
"Save her!
"Please save my daughter!"
Oliver Walker anxiously rushed into the hospital with Olivia in his arms.
There were lots of people in the hospital, and people started crowding together.
At the same time, the nurse that was at the reception came to him and said, "Sir, please get in line and wait for your number!"
She might not know who Oliver Walker was...
But she knew Olivia Walker who was a regular at the hospital!
"There's no time!"
Oliver Walker screamed, "Get the doctors now!"
The nurse was unhappy that she was being screamed at, so she said, "Then, go to the emergency department and pay the bills!
"Do you think that the hospital is a charity organization just because you don't have the money?" 𝑏𝑒𝘥𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝑙.𝘰𝑟𝑔
She had met so many people of the same kind.
After saving these patients, they couldn't afford the medical bills, and in the end, the hospital had to pay for them.
Plus, this was Olivia Walker whose current condition was terminal. If they had the money, she should have been admitted much earlier!
