Chosen By The Lover's Constellation-Chapter 214: Eternity, Part Fifteen
{Sometime Later}
{Lianna}
Lianna emerged from the stuffy guild office.
"FINALLY, THE PAPERWORK IS DONE!"
Lianna felt like she could cry.
The afternoon sun warmed her back, a welcome contrast to the stale air from the swamp she’d just been in an hour ago.
Enverna trailed behind her.
"Finally," Enverna murmured, her voice a low rumble that sent a delicious shiver down Lianna’s spine. "I’ve been holding back all day, watching you strut around in that thing."
Lianna smirked.
"This ’thing’ happens to be the latest fashion, love."
"Fashion be damned," Enverna countered, her eyes darkening with desire. "It’s the way it defines every inch of you... and leaves nothing to the imagination."
With a playful growl, Enverna dipped her head, her lips brushing against Lianna’s ear.
"I’ve been salivating for hours, Mrs. Velcross. Let’s get you out of this... delightful torture device and somewhere a little more... private."
"Okay, Mrs. Velcross," Lianna countered. "Let’s go."
Lianna’s heart hammered against her ribs.
Public displays of affection weren’t exactly their style, but the controlled hunger in Enverna’s voice was enough to throw caution to the wind.
They slipped into a secluded hall at the Watchful’s headquarters, the scent of fresh bread and roasting meat from the cafeteria fading behind them. Enverna didn’t waste any time. With a practiced grace, she sank to her knees, her hand tracing a path up Lianna’s leg.
The fabric of the dress offered little resistance as Enverna reached the apex of her thigh, her lips curving into a predatory smile. Lianna gasped, her fingers tangling in Enverna’s frosty white-blue hair as shivers of pleasure erupted across her skin.
"You taste so good," Enverna whispered, her voice husky with desire.
A wicked laugh escaped Lianna’s lips.
"It’s just skin..."
"Your skin. And, I want to taste it some more."
Before she could respond, a cough from the alley entrance shattered the intimate scene.
"Seriously, guys?" Zura’s voice dripped with mock annoyance, her gaze bouncing between Lianna’s flushed face and Enverna’s buried head. Mel stood beside her, a blush creeping up her neck.
Lianna groaned, burying her hand in Enverna’s hair to keep her from rising.
Just cause these two showed up didn’t mean they needed to stop.
"Mel, Zura, what are you doing here?"
Enverna, unfazed, simply emerged from her position, wiping a stray kiss mark from her lips.
"Looking for you lovebirds, obviously. Though," she added with a wink, "we were finishing up Caroline’s registration but we... uhm... seem to have found you in the middle of extracurricular activities."
Zura rolled her eyes, but Lianna couldn’t help but notice a flicker of amusement in her gaze.
"Well, uh," Zura nudged Mel, "how about we leave them to it?"
Lianna, however, had other ideas.
Lianna extended a hand, a playful gleam in her eyes.
"Actually," she said, her voice a seductive purr, "why don’t you join us?"
Enverna’s smile widened, an echo of the same gleam in Lianna’s eyes. Mel hesitated, her gaze flitting between Zura’s shrug and the scene going on in front of them.
And then, with a shy smile, Mel reached out and took Lianna’s hand.
Enverna pulled Mel to her knees. Pulling her close, she positioned Mel’s head just right so that the two of them would share in this moment, giving Lianna the pleasure she deserved.
Zura swallowed.
"I’ll... I’ll stand guard. Yeah. I’ll... I’ll do that."
As Mel and Enverna got to licking, one far more eager than the other, Lianna breathed out some heavy moans.
"Ohhhh fuck. Fuck! You two are- oh!"
And, Zura cracked.
"Fuck it."
She turned and walked over, a third head diving between Lianna’s legs.
---
Several hours later, the world swam back into focus in a haze of blissful exhaustion.
Lianna stretched languidly, the recent memory of tangled limbs and shared pleasure still clinging to her like a warm perfume.
A soft chuckle rumbled from behind, and she felt Enverna shift, sending a deliciously familiar warmth against her back.
Sunlight, muted by the sheer volume of bodies piled on the plush bed, spilled through the window.
"Mel is a surprisingly enthusiastic cuddler," Enverna murmured, her voice thick with sleep.
Lianna snorted, a soft sound that vibrated through their intertwined forms.
"She’ll be sore in the morning," she mumbled, turning to face Enverna.
"She always is." Enverna’s eyes, still heavy with sleep, crinkled at the corners. "Speaking of sore," she brushed a stray strand of hair from Lianna’s face, "aren’t you? After that little stunt you pulled in the hallway?"
A grin spread across Lianna’s face.
"Hey, you started it, Mrs. Velcross."
Enverna’s lips curved into a matching smile.
"Indeed I did. But the invitation to join in? That was all you, wasn’t it?"
Lianna traced a finger along Enverna’s sculpted jawline.
"Maybe. Nothing I couldn’t handle, though."
Enverna leaned in, her lips brushing against Lianna’s ear.
They were silent for a moment, a comfortable silence filled with the unspoken language of shared intimacy.
Then, Lianna rose, her movements slow and deliberate.
Walking over to the window, she gazed out at the sprawling cityscape of Telvan, the afternoon sun glinting off the metallic towers that pierced the sky.
Enverna, sensing the shift, padded over barefoot and wrapped her arm around Lianna from behind, her chin resting on Lianna’s shoulder.
"What are you thinking about, love?" Enverna asked, her voice soft.
Lianna leaned back into Enverna’s embrace, letting out a contented sigh.
"About you," she admitted. "About how lucky I am to have you in my life."
Enverna hummed, a low, reassuring sound.
"And I, you. The Lover really did something to me, Lianna. She ignited a flame in my heart I never knew I needed. For that, I have to be thankful to her... And to you." 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
Lianna turned in Enverna’s arm, her gaze meeting the other woman’s.
Enverna smiled as well. And, their lips met in one, tentative kiss.
Outside, the city hummed with life, a symphony of sounds that faded into the background as Lianna and Enverna lost themselves in each other once more.
Outside, they were heroes. Saviors and adventurers.
Here, all Lianna cared about was how comfortable she felt in Enverna’s embrace.
That feeling made every single wound she’d sustained over the last year worth it.
