Chronicles of Forgotten Extra-Chapter 235: Seven Primordial Elemental Spirit.
Chapter 235: Seven Primordial Elemental Spirit.
Alden stepped out of the teleportation hub.
He was back at the academy.
No one welcomed him, which was perfect.
After neutralising Seles’s goons, there hadn’t been much left to do.
He hadn’t uncovered much about her organisation—but that didn’t mean he was done with it.
He had plans about it.
He pulled out his ManaSync. It vibrated violently as dozens—maybe hundreds—of notifications flooded the screen.
Messages from people he hadn’t spoken to in weeks.
Well, "people" was generous.
It was just Aziel, Amyra... and Nyx.
Nyx had sent him six restaurant recommendations, complete with ratings, location pins, and something labelled "ambience vibes".
He ignored them all.
Alden preferred to eat at home.
Not because he was a loner. He just didn’t want another food war with Kyun.
He had already learned his lesson when he had a meal with Nyx last time.
The little spirit beast in question was silent, unusually so.
Not asleep. Just... still.
Ever since they’d left the dungeon, Kyun hadn’t caused a single disaster.
A new record, really.
Something about Caera’s power—or maybe just her presence—had left the little spirit shaken.
Not that Kyun would ever admit it.
Alden took a deep breath and started walking toward the dorms.
Classes should’ve ended by now.
But halfway there, within the academy campus, he noticed something odd: a crowd forming near the combat wing.
That wing was directly on his path.
He sighed.
Of course. Drama.
And who doesn’t like free drama, right?
He stopped and listened to the noise.
Cheering. Shocked gasps. A few flares of mana in the air.
A duel?
Probably another attention-hungry idiot throwing fireballs at someone with slightly less training.
Kyun, Shadow.
He sent the mental command as he walked toward the duelling arena.
The spirit dropped from his shoulder and disappeared into his shadow with a faint flicker.
She didn’t even try to resist. frёeωebɳovel.com
That confirmed it—something was still bothering her.
He reached the audience seating of the dueling arena.
Students crowded the rows, expressions shifting between awe and confusion.
As he looked toward the platform at the centre, Alden’s brow twitched.
This wasn’t some idiot throwing fireballs.
Aziel.
His best friend stood at the centre of the platform.
What the hell is he doing?
And why is he fighting Lucien?
For a moment, he was dumbfounded by what he was seeing.
Then he saw it—Aziel shooting forward, fists blazing with a greenish-gold flame.
Spirit mana?
Damn. That’s new.
Aziel’s punch slammed into Lucien’s cheek and blasted him across the arena.
Alden’s lips curled into a smirk.
But before he could even enjoy it, the atmosphere shifted.
The air fell still.
His senses screamed as dust rose around Lucien’s impact.
His [Eyes of Supreme] activated instinctively.
He saw it.
A spirit.
No.
Too massive to be just a spirit.
A golden bird made of pure lightning hovered above Lucien’s body.
It wasn’t just powerful—it was ancient.
Alden had read about beings like this.
Beings of immense elemental power.
The seven primordial elemental spirits.
But they were supposed to be long gone. Banished from Eryndor. Never to return.
No. It’s not here completely.
Only a spiritual form.
Even so, his head throbbed just from looking at it.
A name surfaced in his mind.
Kael’Zin.
He didn’t know how he knew it.
It was simply there—etched into his consciousness.
He didn’t need to understand it.
He only knew one thing:
If I don’t move, Aziel’s going to die.
Lucien raised his hand, and mana across the air was sucked into a spiralling vortex.
Nobody else was reacting.
They probably couldn’t even feel the change.
Fuck.
I don’t have time.
Alden’s feet moved before his brain could issue the order.
He was at the edge of the dueling platform in less than a second, katana already drawn.
He slashed.
[Ruinous Severance]
The blade sliced through the barrier covering the platform without any resistance.
He couldn’t have entered otherwise.
As soon as the tear opened, he locked onto the nearest shadow near Aziel and activated—
[Shadow Steps]
His body melted into shadow.
A breath later, he reappeared—right between Aziel and the lightning dragon Lucien—no, Kael’Zin—had unleashed.
He didn’t know if it would work.
But he raised his hand and activated [Abyssal Soul].
If the attack was magical and within his power level, he could devour it.
Store it in his soul.
The lightning crashed against his raised hand.
Electricity surged through his arm like wildfire.
But the spell vanished.
Devoured.
His hand went numb.
His mana—nearly gone.
Both of his cores depleted.
Fuck.
He cursed under his breath.
Aziel was still standing. Smiling like an idiot.
"Where did you pop up—"
Before he could finish the sentence, Aziel collapsed.
The pressure from Kael’Zin’s presence had finally overwhelmed him.
Alden caught him before he hit the ground.
But just as he stabilised Aziel, he felt something else.
Something stood behind Aziel. Massive. Cloaked in green fire. Watching.
His vision throbbed. His head pounded.
Another name surfaced in his mind.
IGNIS VIREL.
Another primordial?
Alden deactivated his [Eyes of Supreme] immediately.

Lucien snapped out of his daze as he saw Alden appearing out of nowhere and blocking an attack by Kael’Zin.
His mind was currently under absolute chaos.
He hadn’t meant to summon Kael’Zin—certainly not like that.
But after Aziel’s punch landed, something... shifted.
The ancient spirit offered him power.
A pact.
And he said yes.
Just as Lucien accepted it, his body lost control for a moment.
Immense power surged through his body.
Kael’Zin lashed out, and Aziel was the target.
Then Alden appeared.
And somehow blocked the attack.
Lucien’s system reacted almost immediately and ceased the descent of Kael’Zin.
Lucien didn’t understand: why did the system even let it happen?
But before he could think of anything more, some system windows appeared in front of him.

Alden stood still as Lucien collapsed.
He didn’t know what was happening, but two ancient spirits had reappeared.
Alden had a feeling.
This wouldn’t be the last time this would happen.
Just then—
An authoritative voice cut through the silence.
"Step away from the dueling platform."

Author’s Note:
Trivia Time – The Primordial Spirits:
There were eight Primordial Elemental Spirits.
One of them vanished mysteriously.
The remaining seven were sealed in the Spiritual Realm—forbidden from ever manifesting physically again.
Bound by ancient restrictions, they became myths... forgotten by most and only mentioned in some books.
Btw, Primordial Spirit doesn’t mean they are at primordial rank. It’s more of a title.
They were never even mentioned in the original novel.
Why are they resurfacing now?
What broke the seals?
And who—or what—was the eighth?
