Claim Me Captain! I'm Addicted to You!-Chapter 397: Disappear (4)
Georgia’s POV
Nick moved over me with a kind of hunger that wasn’t just physical; it was emotional, soul-level, like he needed to hold me so close that even breathing felt shared. I was his oxygen, and he is mine. His forehead pressed against mine, our noses brushing, our breaths tangling in the tiny space between our lips.
"Baby..." he whispered, and something in his voice cracked open.
My chest tightened, not from desire or not just desire, but from the overwhelming way he loved me. The way he held me like losing me would destroy him. The way he touched me was like I was something sacred.
His fingers slid along my waist, trembling slightly as they pulled me against him, deeper into his warmth, deeper into this moment that felt so fragile and so intense at the same time.
I cupped his face, guiding him to look at me.
His eyes... Godsss... his eyes were dark, longing, vulnerable.
"Nick," I whispered, brushing my thumb along his cheek. "I love you so much..."
That single reassurance did something to him.
His breath hitched. His body shuddered. He pressed his forehead to my shoulder, exhaling like he had been drowning and I’d just pulled him above water.
And then everything between us slowed.
Not because the heat faded, but because something stronger rose in its place.
Connection.
Tenderness.
Something that made my heart feel too full for my ribs.
His hands moved over my body with a reverence that made my breath catch. Every touch felt like a confession, a promise, a surrender.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer, and closer still, until there was nowhere left for him to go except into me, into every part of me that only he could reach.
His lips brushed my jaw, my cheek, my mouth... soft, slow, almost trembling.
And when the moment built between us, cresting delicately like a wave lifting us off the shore... it wasn’t raw or frantic.
It was emotional.
It was intimate.
It was the kind of climax that felt like falling apart together.
Nick’s body tensed around me, his breath breaking against my skin. I gasped, holding him, anchoring him, letting everything inside me unfurl in a warm, consuming rush that left my fingers gripping his back, my legs trembling, my walls beating, my heart thudding wildly into his chest.
He buried his face in my neck, letting out a soft, unsteady sound, the kind he only made when he completely let go. Loud feral moan.
I cradled his head and whispered against his ear, "I’ve got you, my love. I’m right here... I’m not going anywhere."
Slowly, slowly, his weight settled over me, heavy and warm, but comforting, grounding. His breath was uneven, panting, brushing the curve of my shoulder as he tried to steady himself. I stroked my fingers through his hair, soothing him, savoring the way his body relaxed little by little against mine.
Minutes passed like that, quiet, warm, full of soft breaths and lingering pulses of pleasure.
Finally, he lifted his head just enough to kiss my shoulder, then my collarbone, then my lips, tenderly.
"You make me lose my sanity," he whispered, voice rough, almost fragile.
I smiled, cupping his cheek. "Good. Because you do that to me, too."
We stayed tangled together on the small sofa bed, our limbs intertwined, our chests rising in the same rhythm, both of us still trying to catch our breaths, not just from the intensity, but from the sheer closeness of it all.
Outside, the house murmured with footsteps and muffled voices. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
But here... in this hidden room...
It felt like the whole world had disappeared.
And the only thing left was him.
And me.
And the quiet, trembling afterglow of loving each other completely.
Nick and I took a moment to breathe, still wrapped in each other’s warmth. But in reality, the thought of everyone waiting for us eventually crept back in.
"We should really go," I whispered, brushing his hair back into place.
Nick sighed dramatically and buried his face between my collarbone and shoulder. "Five more minutes."
"No," I said, swatting him lightly. "If we don’t go now, everyone will look for us and think we did this, and I am not emotionally prepared for that level of embarrassment."
That finally made him chuckle. With a reluctant groan, he stood up and reached a hand out to help me. We fixed ourselves in a near-silent race, me redoing my hair and adjusting my clothes in the small powder room.
"Do I look normal?" I asked, smoothing my dress in the mirror.
"You look like you’re glowing," Nick said, smirking.
"That’s not helpful."
He leaned in and kissed my forehead. "Trust me. No one will suspect a thing."
He said it with too much confidence.
We slipped out of the hidden room, tiptoed through the hallway, and made our way downstairs. The noise of chatter and laughter drew us straight toward the backyard patio, where everyone was already seated around the long table covered with food.
The moment Prudence saw us approaching, her eyes narrowed.
Hands on hips. Ladle in hand.
Here comes trouble.
"Where the heck did you two go?" Prudence said, loud enough for the birds in the trees to hear. "We were looking for you! The food is ready, and now that you’re here, let’s eat!"
Before I could even think of an excuse, Benjamin let out a thunderous laugh.
"Dear, I told you not to look for them. Let us old people eat! They’re young, healthy newlyweds, who knows, maybe they’re planning to give us twins!"
My soul left my body.
Prudence’s eyes widened, and she smacked Benjamin’s arm with the ladle. The sound echoed like a battle cry.
Nick choked. I nearly tripped. Oliver wheezed. Liam stared off into the void. Steven coughed violently into his drink.
And Katie, sweet innocent baby, asked, "What are twins?"
I pretended to die internally.
Vicky covered her ears and groaned, "Ugh, Dad, that’s gross if you are the one saying it!"
Benjamin just shrugged proudly. "You shouldn’t be. You kids, are all at the marrying age. In fact—" He turned toward Vicky with a smug grin. "You’re next to get married. Unless Liam goes first. Finally, I found the perfect candidate to be your husband."
Every fork froze.
Every jaw dropped.
Vicky blinked three times.
Liam straightened in his seat.
Nick nearly inhaled the water he was drinking.
Ella’s eyes widened in confusion.
Even Prudence paused mid-sip.
The table went dead silent.
And then Benjamin smiled wider.
But Oliver... he looked like he had seen a ghost!
