Chapter 442: Epilogue - Claim Me Captain! I’m Addicted to You!

Georgia’s POV

If someone told me that the happiest chaos of my life would happen inside a hospital VIP suite, I would’ve laughed and asked what kind of rom-com they were watching.

Yet, here I was, propped up against a mountain of pillows, sore in places I didn’t know could ache, hair an absolute crime scene, staring at the most perfect tiny human I had ever seen while my husband slept sitting upright on the couch like a soldier who had just survived battle.

My little bundle of joy was tucked against my chest, swaddled tightly, his tiny mouth forming the softest pout as he slept. Every so often, he’d make this little sound that made my heart melt, and my brain short-circuit at the same time.

I was mid-counting his eyelashes, again, when a loud voice echoed from the hallway.

Then another.

Then voices.

Lots of voices.

"...Sir, visiting hours are—"

"We’ll be quick!"

"I swear I’ll only look!"

"Is that the right room?!"

I blinked slowly, already knowing.

Nick stirred immediately. His head snapped up, eyes sharp despite the exhaustion. "What was that?"

Before I could answer, the noise multiplied.

"Oh no," I muttered. "They’re here."

Nick groaned softly and stood. "I told Oliver to tell them to visit tomorrow."

Another knock... except it wasn’t really a knock. It was more like a collective assault on the door.

"Nick!" Vicky’s voice rang out. "Open up!"

"That is not a request," he muttered, rubbing his face before opening the door.

The moment it swung open, the hallway exploded.

Liam and Ella stood right in front, still in their wedding attire. Liam’s tie loosened, Ella in crocs, her gown lifted slightly so she wouldn’t trip. Her hair was still perfect, which honestly offended mine.

Behind them were Vicky, Oliver, Benjamin, Prudence, Wendy, and Katie bouncing on their toes like they had caffeine injected directly into their bloodstream.

Nick stared at them like he was hallucinating.

"...What the hell?" he said flatly. "Why are you all here at this hour?"

He looked straight at Liam. "I texted Oliver that Georgia and the baby are safe. I specifically said go tomorrow. Did you all just run away from the wedding?"

Ella grinned unapologetically. "The reception is over. So obviously, we came here."

Liam shrugged. "Sorry, bro. We’re just as excited as you are."

Vicky crossed her arms. "You can’t stop us from seeing the baby."

Benjamin leaned forward, peering past Nick like a detective. "Is he inside? Can I see him?"

Prudence clasped her hands together, eyes already glossy. "I’ve waited my whole life for this moment."

Nick opened his mouth to argue when a very tired-looking resident doctor appeared behind them, hands on her hips.

"It’s already late," she said firmly. "Visiting hours are over. Come back tomorrow. Let the mother and the baby rest."

I sighed and shifted slightly, which made the baby let out a tiny grunt.

"Doc," I called out weakly. "It’s okay. Let them in. Just... quietly. The baby’s sleeping."

Every head snapped toward me.

Nick turned around instantly. "Georgia—"

"I’m fine," I said. "I promise. I just gave birth; I can survive our family."

The doctor closed her eyes for a moment like she was reconsidering every career choice she’d ever made.

"...Alright," she sighed. "But not all at the same time."

She turned to the nurse. "Get some alcohol and masks. Now. We don’t want anything harmful to be transferred to the baby."

Then back to the crowd. "You stay in the sofa area first. Two at a time. Only a few minutes. And then you leave. You can come back tomorrow. Understood?"

Everyone nodded so fast it was terrifying.

Nick exhaled. "Alright. Katie and Wendy first."

Katie gasped. "Me?!"

"The big sister should see her brother first," Nick said gently.

More gasps followed.

Benjamin’s eyes widened. "It’s a boy?! I have a grandson?!"

Nick laughed and hugged him tightly. "Congratulations, Grandpa. Your name lives on."

Benjamin froze.

"Oh my goodness... A little one will carry on our name... My Father and Grandfather are surely happy in Heaven now."

Everyone chuckled, Liam patting his father’s back.

"Yes," I said, smiling as I tilted my son slightly so they could all see his tiny face. "His name is Gray. Grayson David Knight."

Silence.

Then—

"Oh my God," Prudence whispered.

"He is so handsome," Wendy said, tears streaming freely.

Vicky covered her mouth. "He has Nick’s nose."

"I do not have that nose," Nick argued automatically. "That’s Georgia’s."

Katie stepped closer, eyes huge. "He’s so small..."

She reached out carefully after the nurse helped put on her mask. Nick lifted her up to the bed, and I guided her hand to touch Gray’s tiny fingers. He wrapped his hand around her pinky instinctively.

Katie burst into tears. "He grabbed me."

"That means he likes you," I said softly.

Everyone melted.

Two by two, they came forward, Benjamin trying not to cry, Prudence definitely crying, Ella holding her stomach and whispering, "I can’t wait," Liam grinning like he’d just won the lottery.

Vicky took one look at Gray and immediately declared, "I will make sure to give him a playmate as soon as possible!" She said, making everyone laugh, including the doctor and the nurses who were watching them like a hawk.

Oliver whispered, "Uncle Oliver will teach you many things about law that you should know."

After a while, the doctor clapped her hands. "Alright, that’s enough. Out. All of you."

There was protesting.

Lots of it.

But eventually, they left, blowing kisses, whispering congratulations, promising to come back tomorrow with balloons and threats of spoiling him rotten.

When the door finally closed, the room fell quiet again.

Nick sat beside me and carefully kissed my forehead. "You were incredible today."

I smiled tiredly. "So were you."

Gray shifted between us, letting out a tiny sigh.

I looked at them, my husband, my son, and felt something settle inside my chest.

Everything felt complete. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

Not perfect.

But full.

Happy.

And very, very loud.

All the tears, the hardships, and the suffering Nick and I went through just to get to this point were all worth it.

I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Author’s Note: 12/14/2025

Thank you so much for joining Georgia and Nick in their journey! Thank you for all your support, and I hope that you liked it. I am really grateful!

I feel a bit sad since I will miss the characters in this book. But every ending leads to a new beginning.

I am already working with the Webnovel content editors in writing my next book called "Mr. Young and the Cursed Auntie Next Door". It’s not your typical contemporary romance novel in Webnovel; it’s a bit different from the popular ones, so I am scared and excited to publish it at the same time.

It’s a quirky romantic comedy with a bit of mystery, and a plot that’s not quite common, and I wish that you give it a try too. It will be published in 2026, and I hope to see you there!
