Clinging to Devoted Fiancé, Heiress Slays the World!-Chapter 924: Still Trying to Run? You’ve Got Nerve!
The other party’s expression didn’t seem like they were lying, but Ji Wei still remained cautious.
"Any later and it’ll be too late," William said with a furrowed brow.
Ji Wei pondered briefly, then conceded, "I’ll trust you this once."
Upon hearing her say that, William visibly breathed a sigh of relief. He once again grabbed her wrist and led her out of the stairwell.
The two of them used the medical staff’s exclusive passageway to reach the underground garage.
Just as they exited the elevator, the fake doctor who had just fled had already taken off the disguised white coat and casually thrown it into the nearby trash bin.
He directly opened the door of a black business car and got in.
"Let’s get in the car!" Seeing this, William’s expression turned serious and he spoke quickly.
He quickly walked to his flashy red Lamborghini, opened the door, and called back to Ji Wei, "Get in."
Ji Wei glanced at him, hesitated for just a moment, then got into the car.
The business car ahead had already started moving, and William immediately chased after it.
William had long kept a racing hobby, and his driving skills could be described as top-notch. Seeing that the business car was about to leave the underground garage, he accelerated to overtake it and executed a beautiful drift, barely grazing the side of the business car, successfully cutting to the front.
Then, with a sudden brake, the Lamborghini sprawled across in front of the business car, blocking the man’s path.
The masked man inside the car hadn’t expected anyone to block his way; a fierce glint flashed in his dark eyes. He steeled himself and stomped on the gas, charging directly toward the Lamborghini!
William swiftly turned the steering wheel while his other hand retrieved a handgun and fired a shot at the man in the business car.
Bang!
The bullet hit the windshield in front, instantly creating a web-like fracture. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Bang bang!
Two more shots.
The glass shattered into pieces, forcing the man to dodge to the side. The business car lost control and crashed into the nearby concrete pillar, coming to a halt.
William had already quickly gotten out of the car, raising his handgun as he approached the man.
Seeing the dark muzzle aimed at him, there was unexpectedly little panic in the man’s eyes.
"Put your hands up, get out of the car!" William yanked the car door open and ordered coldly.
The man didn’t dare make any rash moves, his sinister eyes fixed on William for several seconds, then slowly got out of the car.
"Turn around!"
The man hesitantly turned around.
William held the gun with one hand and searched the man with the other, finding no weapons.
He reholstered the gun, but at that moment, the man suddenly bolted.
William leapt forward to give chase, and with his towering stature, he quickly caught up and grabbed the man. The two wrestled, but in the end, William gained the upper hand, pinning the man to the ground, unable to move.
"Still thinking of running? You’ve got some nerve!" William sneered, yanking off the man’s mask.
The man glared back at him angrily.
"Are you... alright?" Ji Wei rushed over, and seeing the wound on William’s face, she paused before still asking.
"I’m fine."
William wiped away the blood at the corner of his mouth indifferently, even grinning a bit, as he felt quite good now that Ji Wei finally opened up and talked to him.
Meanwhile, the man restrained on the ground had a strange flash in his dark eyes when he saw Ji Wei; he quickly lowered his head, as if worried Ji Wei would recognize him.
"What are you hiding for!"
William reached out, gripping the man’s jaw decisively, the force turning the man’s face pale.
This time, Ji Wei finally got a clear view of the man’s true face. She pointed at him, somewhat taken aback, saying, "You, you’re Beichuan!"
