Codex Null: Simulation Through Madness-Chapter 106: Wall (Unedited)
’I’m more curious about the special somehting here.’ Noel thought.
He didn’t take her words into heart, as he already had an inkling of what the relic going to be too.
After all, the walls behind him, around two kilo meters long, can’t be man made.
Noel, was nearly certain of that.
So, the relic had to do something with that.
"Well, then, let’s go together, and see, what this relic is," against what he thought, Noel showed some curiousity as he replied.
And Clarissa, this time, took Noel’s hand into her own, and with her own pace, in no time, move a long distance away.
Instead of moving further in into the dimension, they still went around its edge, before arriving at one specific part, clearly different from the rest.
Impeded in the two kilometers tall wall, was a different kind of wall. Two meters in length, and instead of being made of stone, it seemed to be made of some kind of special metal.
From a distance, Noel, was pretty sure, it would go unnoticed even by him.
But, arriving in front of it, he could feel how special it was.
... not to mention, the many natives surrounding this specific spot of the wall, seemed to be confirming everything to him.
Unlike the battle hardened natives he saw before, this time, what was in front of him, was a mix of everything.
Those who were warriors of their race, and those who were simply ordinary people.
There were female and males, and from all around of ages.
And all of their expression, as they them?
They were struck with fear.
Their murmurs fading, as no one seemed to dare to speak.
Clarissa simply waved her hand, sending all of them away to who know how far, as if she didn’t want to deal with this situation, and only then, did she walk along with Noel, more closer to the wall.
She extened her hand to the wall, and stayed still.
After a moment, changes finally started happening. The whole wall, not simply the two meter wall relic, started trembling.
Following the trembling of the wall, the whole dimension, too seemed to be effected.
But, unpebtured by all of that, Clarissa continued on her own business.
Noel, at her side, and still holding her hand, felt everything closely.
He could not only feel the vast power of Clarissa, but, even the power of the resisting relic, and its Law.
The name of the Law seemed to be resonating in his mind... Boundaries.
And he seemed to be able to touch it intracities, as he saw the battle between it and Clarissa.
No, he was not only able to touch upon the Boundaries Law, even the Control Law which he had studied in the last simulation, but, only the got the memories of that understanding seemed to be resonating, by the Control Law of Clarissa.
It was a very vaulable opportunity for Noel, and so, he poured his whole concenteration on observing the battle between Clarissa and the Apex relic... where before long the victor was decided.
Which naturally belonged to Clarissa.
The wall relic impedded inside the bigger wall, started shaking heavily, before it suddenly dhrunk down, and then finally moved into the palm of Clarissa.
She held it securely in her hand, a smile inadvatednly appearing on her face, in contrast to the wailing sound Noel, seemed to hear from the distance, after the relic disappeared.
Clarissa didn’t stop after that, and continued with her action, suddenly using the relic in her hand to filled the the place where the relic was, and satablized the wall.
Only then, did she finally turn her head to Noel, and said, "My business here, is finished... are you sure you don’t need my help in something else?"
At her more than usual gentle words, Noel smiled before and shook his head, "No, I don’t need anything... leave the rest for me."
Clarissa nodded at his words, and finally seperated her hand from him, as she intended to walk out, and return back. But, then, she suddenly stopped. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
Her loose ash blonde hair fluttered in the wind as she turned her head back at him, and she seemed to think of something, before, she finally threw a ring toward him and said, "This is for the soul crystal compensation... just don’t say I’m stingy anymore."
She chuckled at her words, brushed her hair stands to the back of her ear, before she she shook her head, and finally went back, disappearing completely from Noel’s view.
...............
Instead of dwendling at Clarissa’s department, Noel pretty expatant at this point, checked the content of the ring... and a smile inadvetendly appeared on his face.
’This time, you were really generous mother in law,’ Noel thought as he looked at five million of soul crystals inside the storage ring.
For the price of an apex relic, it was naturally cheap... too cheap.
But, Noel was not receiing this amount for letting her acquire an apex relic.
It was just a side compensation.
Her support, in helping him take this dimension for himself, when the Cross house, under Lilith, will probably not be able to help him do that, was actually far more important, after all.
Anyway, he now, can get five Imperial Talents!!
Noel’s thoughts and emotion were vibrant, as he thought of his coming simulation, but then, he was intruppted from them, as once again he started feeling, some of the native mebers different from the previous, start closing into him.
Looking at their angry expressions as they looked at him when they arrived, Noel, was not disturbed, and simply stared back.
"Where did you take our sacred wall to?" one of them more old than the other walked to the front as he asked.
And Noel raised an eyebrow as he actually understood him.
It was a forgien language, but somehow he still understood it... well, not the words themselves but the intention behind them.
’It’s seems like this dimension is really going to be quite fruitful...’ with this thought in his mind, Noel replied, "Be it the wall, the land you are standing on right now, or you, who are living here... everything is mine now."
After declaring, Noel, grinned as he asked, "So, do you want to submit voluntary or do you to try and resist, and be killed in the end?"
"Naturally, the end result will not change either way...:"
"What you could determine is simply the number of people killed."
His arrogant words, seemed to send the natives behind the elder, into even more rage, but the elder with his eyes filled wisdom, still seemed to hold onto his composure unlike them.
After all, he had heard of how the previous groups of people they were fighting against, and were actually struggling, suddenly went away, and then another group came... what did this mean?
That was what the elder thought about.
"Even if we are going to submit, you have to return back our sacred wall," he said.
The elder despite not being adept at fighting, still had enough strength to asses the situation.
And while the young man in front of him, give a dangerous feeling, he also seemed not to be too strogn himself.
A contradictary feeling, yes, but, it should still be managable... were the elder thoughts, until sudenly a change occurred in the situation.
The arrogant young man in front of him, didn’t make any move, but, someone else came, after all.
And looking at the calm, but unfathomable blue eyes of her... the elder seemed to need to reassess his situation.
He was going to take a step back for now, becaue at least the new group, didn’t start attacking discremently from the start.
He was going to take a step back, and see the situation, discuss what kind of measure they could take with others... but.
While the elder, had enough patient and awareness to see the bigger picture, the other members behind him didn’t hold the same qualities.
They didn’t seem to understand how dangerous of a person the one that arrived is, and simply hurled themselves at the enemies in front of them.
To not give up, their treasure the sacred wall and try to retrieve it.
To defend their land and their home.
Their intentions were noble enough.
But. In front of absolute power?
It turned out to be useless... as Nadine, simple her hand.
Countless small balls of water, the size of bullets appeared around her, before launching on them.
And that’s it.
Every ball of water, peneteraterd the skull of every native memberes that directed killing intent at them and tried to act on it.
It was all on their forehead, the action done so neatly.
That the elder, seeing all those who came with him, fall down to the ground motionless, in this simple instant, before he could even yell at them to stop... stood frozen there.
Once again, he seemed to be questioning his realtiy... and his assesstment, if it was fucking correct.
