Codex Null: Simulation Through Madness-Chapter 109: Blood (2) (Unedited)
Control Law... what was it about?
Noel first asked himself, this question, as he entered a concentrated state.
And his answer was like this...
If he were to go by the most simple utilization, then Control Law can simply be telekinesis.
Using it to manipulate items, be it during attacks, defence, or during other times.
Then, if one were to make a step further... then, it could even effect people.
It could start from controlling their physical states, like exteranly as in their movememnt, to more deep things... like there emotions.
And if one were to even to go one step further?
Then, it even could also effect the world around the Law user.
From small changes... to enourmous ones.
Control Law could do all of that. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
Naturally there’s a catch, to make all these changes with the Control Law, then, one had to have a vast around of Law Power first, and a strong soul second.
He as some one the third rank of the transcendent path for example, can also never control someone on the fourth rank.
Resisting the Control Law when the strength of its user was similar to the opponent, is easy... so, Selena for example, would never use it one people, but more one items, or small changes to her surrounding.
So, the Control Law was famous for its utility.
But, what Clarissa did was not naturally not as simple as that.
Her match, with the Apex relic, was purely a head one battle.
And she showed him, that Control Law... can really control.
This simple, obvious fact... was what she showed him, and Noel was inspired by it.
One doesn’t always need to search for clever ways to use their Laws... when they were strong enough... all these tricks became unnecessary.
One, can simple DOMINATE!
Noel seemed to enter a special state, as he arrived at this point.
And around his body, golden aura, expressing Control Law seemed to appear.
Nadine standing in front of him, guarding him, as he was pretty defenseless at this moment, couldn’t help but marvel at the scene.
Noel... was really still Noel.
That all she could think about.
Time passed like that, and when Noel
Noel immersed himself in that feeling, forgetting time, and when, he finally opened his eyes?
A smile seemed to be itched on his face.
He now, can also express the Control Law outside of his body, after all.
He had also made a huge progress in the Control Law mastery.
Had he not gotten, the memory of the last simulation, that would have been difficult.
But, with memory alone, without this opportunity, he would still have spent a longer time, until he arrived at this point.
Shaking his head, as other business still awaited him.
Noel, turned his attention to Nadine still standing in front of him, in the same place, and asked, "How much time have passed?"
Being inside a dimension... a world shard, understanding the passage of time, was more difficult after all.
So, he oculdn’t tell.
"It’s ten hours, congratulations on your progress." Nadine said.
And Noel simply nodded, after thanking her, while thinking that it took more time that he thought, but he didn’t dwell o that, and said, "Well, then let’s start our search."
To find the special something hidden inside this dimension, the first step, Noel, took was trying to understand the said dimension.
He climped the tall wall first, at his own pace, and was going to estimate its size.
But, then, as he saw the scene from above... he couldn’t help but stay silent, with an expressionless gaze.
Maybe, it’s better to simply wait for tomorrow and simulate once?
Noel couldn’t help but, think, as he saw how vast the dimension was.
"Should we simply start interrogating the native people?" Nadine who saw his face, and understood his shock suggested.
But, knowing that this method was actually more inefficient that simple simulation.
Not to mention, that it would also deteriorate his relationship with the natives, when he could avoid that, Noel in the end dismissed Nadines’s suggestion.
It was already evening in time too, so, Noel in the end decided to go the easy way, and simply wait for the next day.
-------
Absorbed in his training, in no time, the said next day arrived.
It was on this moment, while Nadine didn’t understand what he seemed intent on doing that, Noel said, "How about you go and scout the surrounding, to see if you can find something?"
Nadine, while becoming even more strange out, that he had to wait until the next, until he asked her to do something like that, didn’t question Noel’s orders, and simply carried them out.
Seeing that she finally went away, and he was on his own, Noel, still sitting on the wall, finally turned his attention to the Codex Null.
Today, it was finally the time, he received a free simulation, so, Noel could do two simulation if he wanted... one paid and one for free.
But, having already decided that he was going to leave them as a way out for later, he didn’t bother with the free chance, and turned to the new storage ring he had got from Clarissa.
He sensed the five millions inside for a moment, before deciding not to offer all of them, and leave one million on hand for later.
[Do you want to offer 4,000,000 Soul Crystals to the Codex Null?]
Offering four millions, and leaving one million on hand... that should be enough, right?
[You have received 39,702,077 Null Points.]
Noel, stared at the number in front of him for a moment, quite satisfied by his progress, in this week, before he moved on with his thoughts to the coming simulation.
What it should be about?
Finding out about the special something inside this simulation, can be done at the side, it can’t be the main thing he will concentrate on.
So, what should he concentrate on?
Raising his strength?
That was one of the best options after all, with the High Blood Affinity, and Colossal Vessel Talent, he now, was completely set on the Blood Refinement Path.
But, is that best option?
Noel’s though run all time high, until he suddenly remembered an option he hesitated about yesterday.
Strengthed Blood. To get the Sanguine Might Bloodline.
But, is the Sanguine Might Bloodline really worth it?
When now, he can get ascended talents?
One might wonder... but, strengthened blood was never only about the bloodline.
It was about the blood itself.
And Blood Refinement Path, specialized on Blood.
It had stages, yes, but, aside from the stages, there’s a never ending theme... refining the blood.
It was literally a never ending road, because in all the stages, one would always continue refining the blood.
Be it on the first stage... or on the eight stage.
That’s wouldn’t change.
And through the Strengthened Blood option, all the refinement done to the blood will be got.
So, it was worth it.
Not to mention, that, the strengthened blood, and his talents, wouldn’t overlap, so, their effects would stack, and his progress then, would simply be that much more faster.
Arriving at this point, Noel finally made his decision.
He didn’t have his notebook with him, and so, to replace it, he extended his finger to the ground in front of him, and using the destruction Law, he started engraving in it, a simple word.
Blood.
He didn’t stop there, but, continued, writing others.
This dimension.
Lirien.
To Noel, these were the three objectives of this simulation.
To refine his blood as much as possible, to look into this dimension, and then finally, to find out more about Lirien, if she is worthy of trust, and he should try to bring her under him.
With that he finally turned his attention back to the Codex Null.
[Do you want to spend 10,000,000 Null Points to start a Premium Simulation?]
[Select the mode of simulation.]
[1: Normal mode.]
[2: Transmigration mode.]
At the two choices that appeared in front of him, Noel, couldn’t help but remember yesterday, how he planned to actually simulate on the trasmigration mood today... but, plans will never keep up with the changes.
So, he simply shrugged, as he made his choice.
[Life Simulation begins.]
[21 years old. Looking at the words written on the ground, then, going past it, to dimension itself seen from high up the wall, the craters in the ground spread at the edge, and settlements of buildings, in every piece of land spread out, to the last line of sight, you contemplated your next actions.]
[You stayed like that thinking seriously, until Nadine finally came back, and saw the words on the ground herself.]
[Only then, did you finally stand up, and erased the words from the ground, before your told Nadine your next course of actions.]
[You followed the trail of that native elder you talked with yesterday, and asked about his answer, which seemed to have still not came out.]
