Consequences of Dumping the Obsessive Boss: Stuck with Him Forever-Chapter 183: Maxim Sinclair Realizes Summer Lowell Is with Justin Huxley
Justin Huxley was particularly pleased with Tina Huxley’s reaction, and he nodded approvingly at her beyond Summer Lowell’s sight.
On the way back to the Huxley Estate, Tina was sitting in the front passenger seat with mixed feelings, listening to Justin Huxley as he introduced the scenery along the way to Summer Lowell.
By the end, Tina felt almost numb.
Truly a sight to behold, she never thought she’d find herself interacting with Summer Lowell like this one day.
Upon reaching the Huxley Estate, Justin dropped off Summer, exhausted from the long flight, in the prearranged room to rest, while he made his way through several turns to find Tina.
Tina’s expression was full of admiration, "Brother, you are really something, pulling off such a big move without a sound."
Justin accepted the compliment with composure and walked to the window with a glass of water, looking at the distant, towering Sinclair Group Tower with satisfaction.
"I’m curious, how has Maxim Sinclair been during this time?"
Tina’s mood dimmed, and she slowly shook her head, "Not well, he’s almost gone berserk."
"Berserk?"
Justin raised an eyebrow; he indeed wasn’t aware of the situation back home.
He’s been in Greston, spending most of his time trying to establish a relationship with Summer, while also handling issues concerning Julian Huxley, leaving him no time to pay attention to matters concerning Maxim Sinclair.
Tina nodded, still having lingering fears, "Because the day Summer got into trouble, Melanie Sinclair was also there and couldn’t explain some of her actions clearly. Maxim Sinclair stopped all her profitable projects related to the Sinclair Family’s assets and sent her to a remote foreign place..."
"That ruthless?"
Justin coldly commented, "Both his parents fathered a bunch of illegitimate children. Isn’t he afraid of causing dissatisfaction among them with such actions?"
"Even if they are dissatisfied, it’s useless."
Tina shook her head, "I see you’ve been lost in your romantic world and haven’t the slightest clue about the domestic situation. Maxim Sinclair has dealt with all his biological parents’ illegitimate children, and those who didn’t want to stir trouble, who just want to freeload, have all arrived in Stellarion in the past couple of days, loitering around the Sinclair Family’s vicinity."
"What are they here for? To settle scores with Maxim Sinclair?"
Justin sneered, his eyes full of disdain, "Does he really not fear offending those people with no way back?"
"Of course, he doesn’t."
Tina pursed her lips, startled by Maxim Sinclair’s recent actions yet unable to resist being intrigued by him, "These people came to apologize and pledge loyalty. A few days ago, someone with connections stopped him at a banquet, attitude lowered to the dust. Now, who isn’t singing praises for Maxim Sinclair’s prowess?"
Justin’s smile faded slightly; he didn’t like hearing others commend Maxim Sinclair in his presence.
Tina didn’t notice his expression and, after rambling for a while, brought up Summer resting upstairs, "Justin, are you really going to marry Summer? Do you know how crazy Maxim Sinclair is for this woman? If he finds out... Besides, haven’t they already registered their marriage?"
"I know, but so what?"
Justin set his glass down, poured himself a glass of wine, and didn’t forget to pour one for Tina as well, "Marriages can end in divorce, and by taking Summer away, won’t it benefit you to some extent?"
Tina shuddered at the thought of Maxim Sinclair’s madness on the island and shook her head with some fear, "I’m a little scared, Maxim Sinclair is terrifying when he goes mad."
"What are you afraid of?" Justin laughed carelessly, "I’m here, I’ll make sure you succeed in marrying Maxim Sinclair."
Tina remained silent, seemingly still recovering from the shadows of recent events.
Justin drank in silence, and after a while, jokingly asked Tina, "You’ve always wanted to marry Maxim Sinclair for years, are you willing to give up now?"
Tina’s face showed reluctance; she certainly wasn’t willing to give up just like that.
Moreover, after getting to know Maxim Sinclair, no other man could catch her eye. Men more outstanding than Maxim Sinclair were indeed hard to find in this world.
Especially in her eyes, Maxim Sinclair was the most outstanding.
Seeing her expression soften, Justin spoke again, "If you trust me, I can help you successfully marry Maxim Sinclair."
"How are you going to help me?" Tina asked, her thoughts drifting back to Summer, "And what about Summer, how will you explain it to Maxim Sinclair?"
"Why explain? Summer is mine, isn’t she? I’m back in Stellarion to prepare for our engagement; I even thought about having the wedding right away if she agreed."
"Are you crazy?" Tina was in disbelief, "It’s one thing if you’re engaged to Summer, but daring to bring her back to Stellarion for a ceremony, aren’t you afraid Maxim Sinclair will find out?" 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
Justin chuckled, "Of course not, I even thought of inviting Maxim Sinclair over for the engagement, to show him that Summer is no longer his."
"What exactly are you up to?" Tina sensed something was off, "Even your expression seems a bit fanatical. Is it true that all men related to Summer become this crazy?"
"Don’t blame her for everything."
Justin was displeased and shook his head at her, "I’m doing this to help you too. Maxim Sinclair is too strong now, standing too high, you’re at a disadvantage against him."
"So what? You’re going to help me gain an advantage?" Tina poured herself a glass of wine, stood by the window, and gazed longingly at the towering buildings in the distance, "There are many powerful figures in Stellarion, but who can compare to him?"
Justin laughed silently, raising his glass in a toast, "Then find a way to pull him down from the pedestal. Once fallen, it’ll be easier for you to be with him."
...
Late at night, Assistant Collins entered Maxim Sinclair’s office carrying the supper sent from Varden Villa, "President Sinclair, you haven’t eaten much tonight, and there’s still a meeting later. The butler is concerned about your health and specially asked the chef to prepare something easy to digest. Have some, won’t you?"
Maxim, buried in paperwork, hummed in acknowledgment, "Leave it on the table, I’ll come over once I finish this document."
Assistant Collins didn’t dare to urge him and could only help with some minor tasks alongside.
Finally, after finishing the paperwork, Maxim stood up, stretched, and walked over to open the food box, eating while asking, "This afternoon, I asked you to keep an eye on the Huxley Family. Any results?"
"There are some results. Justin Huxley returned to the country, and it seems he brought someone along, but that person is well-concealed, and Matthew is still investigating their identity," Assistant Collins recalled and replied.
Maxim put down his chopsticks, his eyes showing displeasure, "Within three days, I need to know who that person is."
