Consequences of Dumping the Obsessive Boss: Stuck with Him Forever-Chapter 205: Preparing to Order the Wedding Dress
"It’s a perfect opportunity for you, Uncle, to assert some authority in Stellarion and vent out the frustration of being overshadowed by the younger generation."
"Good lad, you’ve hit the nail on the head," Mr. Huxley cheerfully patted his shoulder, "We’ll do as you said. You go and have a meeting with the team, discuss it, and come up with a plan for me as soon as possible. Then we can strategize together on how to deal with him."
"Alright, I’ll handle it now. Don’t worry, Uncle, I’ll get this done properly for you." Justin Huxley gave a resounding commitment, patting his chest before leaving the study.
Justin Huxley had just returned to his room when Tina Huxley followed him like a shadow, knowing she wouldn’t visit without wanting something.
Justin Huxley casually threw a fruit from the fruit plate on the table towards her: "Eat some fruit, and talk while you eat. Let me guess, are you here to complain about your sister-in-law again?"
Tina Huxley, who used to complain every time they met, was reprimanded by Mrs. Huxley last night and changed her tactics, opting for a more indirect approach instead of openly speaking ill of Summer Lowell: "Brother, now that you and Miss Lowell are engaged, it’s time to start preparing the wedding gown. Those custom-made gowns take a long time. If you decide now, it’ll be just in time for the wedding. Otherwise, it would be too late."
Her purpose in saying this was actually to test Justin Huxley, to see if he was truly planning to marry Summer Lowell.
After hearing this, Justin Huxley appeared somewhat pleasantly surprised: "Your suggestion has actually reminded me."
"Reminded you of what?" Tina Huxley observed him cautiously, "Reminded you to marry her right away?"
"Of course not," Justin Huxley saw through her little scheme at a glance, "If you’re really that bored, why not find a job at the company? Stop thinking about how to bully your sister-in-law all day."
"I kindly remind you to start ordering the wedding gown now, and you doubt my intentions towards her!"
Tina Huxley knew he had seen through her thoughts and pretended to justify herself, "How about this, I know a particularly famous bridal studio. Their wedding gowns are all custom-made from Freland. How about I take your sister-in-law there, let her choose one she likes, place the order, and the designer will create the dress according to her specifications."
"Let’s do as you suggested," Justin Huxley handed her a tissue, "Wipe off the juice on your hands. And is that the only studio you know of? Is it reliable?"
"Of course, it’s reliable," Tina Huxley repressed her dissatisfaction with Summer Lowell and explained reluctantly, "I originally planned to use that studio’s wedding gown for my future wedding with Maxim Sinclair."
"I trust your taste, what you like is naturally good," Justin Huxley said as he pinched her cheek, "I’m glad you’re finally helping relieve your brother’s worries."
Tina Huxley swatted his hand away: "But are you really planning to marry Summer Lowell? Don’t forget, she and Maxim Sinclair had an ambiguous relationship for a long time, and the reason she broke up with him was because she stole important secrets from The Sinclair Group. Aren’t you worried about someone with such a background staying by your side?"
"I have my plans, stop worrying about it. Perhaps you should focus more on Maxim Sinclair. I’m helping you get rid of your biggest rival; the rest is up to you."
Justin Huxley turned away to take off his jacket, hiding the impatience in his eyes, and when he turned back, he was once again the kind-hearted brother.
...
Vivian Sullivan stood by the window, watching the familiar figure by the red sports car downstairs, and asked Summer Lowell, who was dressing, "Are you going shopping with Tina Huxley? Did she bully you when you lived with the Huxleys?"
Summer Lowell glanced up, giving her a peculiar look, and asked impassively, "Not too bad, but I did feel she was a bit strange at times. Did you have a conflict with her?"
"No conflict between us, but you’ve mentioned her before, and seemed to dislike her."
"It’s true, I don’t quite get along with her."
Summer Lowell fastened her belt, picked up her bag, and asked Vivian Sullivan again, "Are you really not coming with me? Tina invited me to look at wedding gowns, and I don’t trust her judgment as much as I trust yours."
Vivian Sullivan checked the time, hesitated for a moment, and nodded resolutely: "I can accompany you to the bridal store, maybe stay inside for ten minutes, but no longer, I have a shift to work."
"I understand, I just want to give you a lift. I can take photos of the gowns for you. If you have time, you can give me your input. If not, we can discuss it during your break."
Laughing and chatting, the two women went downstairs.
Tina Huxley remembered the reminders from Mrs. and Mr. Huxley and was exceptionally polite to Summer Lowell.
Vivian Sullivan watched from the side, stunned.
Looks like Justin Huxley did quite a lot behind the scenes!
To make Tina Huxley, who used to flaunt around and looked down on Summer Lowell, so courteous.
Summer Lowell also felt uneasy with Tina Huxley’s unusual politeness.
She believed that the flamboyantly dressed woman wouldn’t act this way towards her.
Originally, Vivian Sullivan planned to escort Summer Lowell to the bridal studio while observing Tina Huxley. Unfortunately, the three of them got stuck in traffic, causing a significant delay.
Vivian Sullivan, anxious to start her shift at the hospital, got off midway, threaded through traffic, and took a taxi to detour on an alternative route.
So, it was just Summer Lowell and Tina Huxley who went to the studio to look at wedding gowns.
...
Assistant Collins knocked on the conference room door and sincerely apologized to the clients inside: "Excuse me, I have an urgent matter that requires President Sinclair’s attention. I apologize for the interruption."
Maxim Sinclair stood up and walked aside with him: "What’s the urgent matter?"
Assistant Collins glanced around, leaned closer, and lowered his voice: "Matthew sent word that Tina Huxley is taking Miss Lowell to a bridal store 2 kilometers from here to buy a wedding gown. Justin Huxley isn’t accompanying them; he’s currently in a meeting at The Huxley Group headquarters." 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
"Buying a wedding gown?" Maxim Sinclair sneered, "They’re moving quite fast."
Assistant Collins stepped back, remaining silent while waiting for further instructions.
"Get Vice President Charles Jenson over here to continue the discussions with these clients."
Assistant Collins expected this and tried to persuade somewhat half-heartedly, "These two clients are quite important. Perhaps you should handle them personally. If the stakeholders find out, it might cause some unrest."
