"I know." The man casually lifted his head, giving her a flat glance.

Christine was startled in her heart. She had heard that the CEO of the "Oversky" Group was a young and handsome man; she wasn’t expecting that when he lifted his face, his level of handsomeness would surprise her.

A very strange silence fell, serene and peaceful, without a trace of impatience; she simply waited quietly by the side.

After another five minutes, Skyler finally lifted his hand, folding the newspaper and tossing it in front of Christine, "Read me the headline from the front page of this newspaper."

Skyler’s tone was cold, indifferently commanding.

Christine was stunned for a moment, then quietly put down her bag, picked up the newspaper, and glanced at it.

In a normal tone, Christine read it out loud, "The New York X Weekly claims that ’Skytop’ will replace ’Shine’ as the number one king in the global construction industry."

After reading, Christine put the newspaper back in place, picked up her bag again, and quietly looked at him.

Soon after Christine left the office, she heard a deep male voice from behind her, the voice of the CEO’s assistant.

"Everyone, there’s no need for further interviews. The CEO has already selected a new secretary. Sorry, the recruitment process is closed, you all may leave."

The assistant’s words sparked discussions among the women outside the room.

"Why? Aren’t there many who haven’t been interviewed yet?"

"Then why bother bringing us here? Really." Complained a young lady carrying a branded handbag.
