COTE : Is Talent Everything? (Rewrite)-Chapter 107: Extra - 4: Each Person’s Evaluation

Taking a little break, this time I'd like to write about each character's evaluation of Hachiman.

I'm still brainstorming ideas for the main story, so I mainly wanted to give a survival update, and also because I'd been planning to do this kind of topic once things settled down a bit.

By the way, these evaluations are based on the current state of the series. Some parts may contradict the main story, so please bear with me.

What do you think about Hikigaya Hachiman?

Class D 

Hirata Yousuke 

A friend from another class, I guess? I feel bad saying this, but out of Ryuuen-kun's class, Hikigaya-kun is the one I trust the most. We've been on good terms ever since that Christmas triple date.

He's the conscience of Class D. You could say the class wouldn't function without him—that's how important he is.

Satou Maya 

We're in different classes, but we're friends!! Lately, I've been curious about his progress with Matsushita-san~.

She's one of the few students from another class who casually talks to me. She often asks if something happened with Matsushita, but it's not something I can just tell people... No, it's not something I should tell people, so I dodge the question.

Karuizawa Kei 

I'm still a little scared of him. Kiyotaka protects me, so it's fine, but honestly, I think Hikigaya-kun is dangerous. Kiyotaka might be the only one who can stop him...

Ishizaki Daichi 

He's a damn good guy!! And honestly, I think if Ryuuen and Hachiman teamed up, they'd be unstoppable!! So why don't those two work together? They should get along... Huh? Wait, is it not like that?

Komiya Kanata 

I can't really put it into words, but he's a super amazing guy. Between the uninhabited island exam and everything else, there's no doubt he's our class's number two.

Both of them are good friends. We've gotten along since the start of the school year and often hang out.

Yamada Albert

Kaneda Satoru 

Hikigaya-san, huh... I'd say he's flawless. He's one of the class's main players, excelling in both academics and sports. I'd love to learn his study methods.

The light novels I borrow from Kaneda are always interesting. I don't know how to answer when he asks about study methods, so I just brush it off.

Katsuragi Kouhei 

Hikigaya is my benefactor. When I first came to this class, I struggled to fit in, but he reached out to me, lent me points, and did so much more that I'm grateful for. Thanks to him, I've made a few friends and can enjoy school life now. I'd like to repay him someday.

Katsuragi is a necessary piece for the class. Lately, he's been getting closer to Ishizaki, Komiya, and Albert, so I hope he keeps building trust within the class.

Nishino Takeko 

Hikigaya... I don't really get him, but he has this weird reliability. He's crazy strong in fights, good at studying, and I can kinda see why Hiyori's so into him.

Tokitou Hiroya

What do I think of our leader? He's just awesome. I'm sticking with him no matter what. I can't really explain it, but being his subordinate feels right.

Ichinose Honami 

Eh!? H-Hikigaya-kun? Uh, he's a good guy, right!? I can see why Nanami-senpai likes him... A-ah, no no! It's not like I'm curious about their relationship or anything...!

Ichihashi has a natural talent for making people trust her, but in this school, that's a double-edged sword. It'll be interesting to see what Ayanokouji does.

Kanzaki Ryuuji 

He's someone to watch out for. Personally, I consider Hikigaya more of a threat than even Ryuuen, our leader.

To put it simply, Hikigaya is someone I owe. ...Nanami seems to have taken an interest in him, but Hikigaya isn't someone who'll play along with your whims. Given how wary he is of you, I doubt he'd accept your invitations. Nanami, you're getting ahead of yourself just because you shared a meal with him.
