When the tournament began, the weaker participants banded together to fight the stronger participants, this increased their chances of winning. Meanwhile others chose to take the weaker ones out first in order to have more space and one of them was Lucius AKA Love Fool.

What the participant’s didn’t expect was for the humanoid beast that Love Fool came with to actually have such insane defensive capabilities. Nothing could penetrate through its scales, not lightning, not fire, nothing. But the creature did have a weakness, its speed was very lacking so Lucius couldn’t run around with it but had to stand in one spot.

An octopus magical beast directly confronted Lucius and Genesis. Its tentacles held Genesis back from protecting Lucius then one of its tentacles coiled around Lucius’s neck to strangle but something unexpected happened.

The octopus beast dropped dead a few seconds after coiling its tentacles around Lucius’s neck. The participants who were watching the battle didn’t know what had happened.

Another participant tried his luck on Lucius. It was a Treeman with roots for arms and legs. Genesis was easily incapacitated and the Treeman lashed out at Lucius with its roots. A single lashing from this whip-like root would definitely kill Lucius or grievously injure him so his skin changed colour from purple to yellow.

The Treeman immediately retreated when Lucius’s skin changed colour but Genesis grabbed hold of its vines and Lucius touched them.

[NOOO!!!] screamed the Treeman before it dropped dead and its body turned to dust.

"Retreat! Retreat! He’s a Poison Master!"

"But I’ve never seen a Poison Master like him."

"Yeah, that constant colour change, it’s like the Rainbow Coloured Poison Frog, ranked in the top three of the most poisonous creatures in Walelur World."

"Avoid Love Fool, he has Rainbow Coloured Poison Frog Abilities! Avoid him at all costs or you’re dead!"

Nagas, Cyborgs and Ratman ganged up on a feline beastmen, a catgirl to be exact. She had a cute face with whiskers, cat eyes, cat ears and cat tail and used claw shaped gauntlets as her weapons. Her body was covered in greyish black fur but she still looked sexy.

Five nagas slithered towards her at terrifying speed with their spears and once they had her surrounded, they attacked. All five pierced forward with their spears and she leaned back to a point where her back almost touched the ground and kicked the spearheads up and did a somersault.

Her legs contracted and she sprinted towards one of the nagas. The naga she was targeting spun around and lashed out with its black snake tail.

’Gotcha.’ thought the catgirl as she aimed to cut off the tail of the naga using the sharp claws of her gauntlet but it wouldn’t be easy.

Bang! Bang!

Gunshots sounded but the catgirl wasn’t worried, two bullets appeared right in the sides of her face, aiming for her head and neck respectively. Giving the bullets a side eye, she effortlessly and quickly ducked and struck at the naga’s tail which was protected by strong scales but this didn’t stop the gauntlets from scratching some of those scales.

At the same time she struck the naga’s tail, the naga had also prepared a follow up attack. It had already swung its spear at the catgirl and the catgirl had no choice but to block the attack with her gauntlets. She was sent flying back and while mid air, a few ratmen were chasing after her while holding rods.

The catgirl twisted her body in unusual ways like she had no bones in her body and transformed back into her beastly form, a wild cat appearance. All four of her limbs were armed with gauntlets.

[Fusion Strike: Pounce and Scratch]

The wild cat took the stance of a cat about to pounce while mid air and actually did it. The wild cat stepped on air and pounced on the dozens of ratmen and her scratching seemed to cut through the air itself and cut through the ratmen’s thick fur. The ratmen then collapsed on the ground, dead.

When the wild cat landed on the ground, she’d returned to her catgirl form but two spears were already in front of her face. She wanted to retreat but her legs were held by something. When she looked down, a ratman was actually holding her legs.

[You’re not dead...]

Two spears pierced through her head and created a ’X’ shape. One of the nagas pierced all the way through her head, moved behind her, grabbed the spear and pierced her heart from the back.

[One down, two to go. Let’s go quickly!] said one of the naga and they rushed towards their next target which was another cat girl that was already engaged in combat.

Halfway to their target, one of the nagas screamed as a metallic claw pierced through from the back of its head, instantly killing it.

[What the... you’re supposed to be dead!]

Many participants were pulled inside the fire tornado and burned to death. She had bird legs with sharp talons, bird hands and beautiful face, she was a Harpy that controlled flames. She looked at the dead bodies with excitement, it was obvious at first glance that she was crazy.

Sharp spikes protruded from the ground but the harpy girl was a step faster, she instantly took to the skies the instant she felt something amiss and constantly dodged the spikes that were the size of mountains.

[Earth Golem, die! Meteor Fall!]

Once the harpy flew high enough that the spikes couldn’t reach her, she retaliated with a powerful skill. A massive fireball the size of a meteor descended at a fast speed, incinerating the spikes as it descended.

Many participants were completely decimated by the heatwave and force from the fireball attack but there was not even a crater on stage.
