Chapter 93: Chapter 93: Appreciate Immortality

"I’ve called everyone here because I have received information about the enemy hiding in the Foggy Mountains. My knights sacrificed their lives to obtain this information so I want everyone to participate in the planning and strategies we’re going to use to defeat the enemy. Play it."

Many officials and nobles wearing luxurious clothes were sitting at the round table. At the centre of this round table was a sphere of blue water. An old man wearing wizard clothes sprinkled powder on the sphere of water and after a few seconds, it began to show memories of George Guzman before he died.

They saw the massive creature of unknown origins and listened to the conversation the two had and looked at the background to try and discover something out of it.

...

"Xenomorphs... I’ve never heard of such Mutant Creatures before."

"And her reproductive capabilities are terrifying, the race itself is terrifying. What kind of living organism reaches adulthood in just a few hours! That’s like any army of Bronze and Silver Knights in just hours."

"Gentlemen, ladies, what we should be doing is coming up with plans and strategies to defeat this Mutant Creature."

"Josh, one of these creatures needs nine people of the same level to defeat it. I suggest we relocate to a different location, far from the Foggy Mountains or create alliances with other kingdoms then destroy that Queen Monster before its army grows too big."

"That’s actually not a bad idea. I’m sure if we showed the other kingdoms these memories, they’d definitely agree to an alliance!"

"You guys haven’t used one hundred percent of your brains. The alliance is good but what we need to do is hit two birds with one stone. These creatures seem to have tremendous amounts of life force and vitality if they can grow to adulthood in just a few hours."

"You mean...?"

"Yes, let’s show these memories to the vampires. I’m sure they’d be more than elated about the existence of these creatures and start hunting them down like crazy. This way, both enemies will weaken each other and through the alliance, we’ll come in and eliminate both parties."

"Dranch, you’re one crazy bastard and I like it. I agree with this proposal."

"I also agree with this proposal."

"Me too,"

"Me three,"

"It seems everyone agrees with this idea. Now, who will go to the vampires to deliver the memories?"

"..."

...

Inside the Foggy Mountains, there was a mountain called the Giant Serpent Lair because that was the home of the Giant Serpents. This mountain was full of caves and each cave had hundreds or even thousands of Giant Serpents. Anyone who entered this place never came out alive, in fact, not even their corpses made it out alive.

Like usual, the Giant Serpent who were about forty to seventy meters long and one to five meters wide depending on the age of the serpent. The snakes were chilling when suddenly, their bodies levitated above the ground for no reason.

These serpents had the same level of intelligence as a human adult so they were shaken up by this phenomenon because nothing just happens for no reason.

In one of the caves, a xenomorph covered in sand and rocks entered and was actually walking on the ground and not affected by the levitation. As soon as it entered, it started attacking and killing the Giant Serpents with its extremely sharp and powerful tail.

Seeing their fellow serpents being slaughtered like chickens and pigs, other serpents were infuriated and quickly thought of a way to fight back. Coiling their bodies like springs, the Giant Serpent attacked the xenomorph with terrifying speed but what their attacks were met with was the ground that suddenly rose up and collided with them.

[Earth Spikes!]

The xenomorph unleashed a devastating attack that killed the Giant Serpent en masse or grievously wounded them. Sharp spikes protruded from the ground and cave walls, piercing the serpents from all directions. It wasn’t just this cave with earth spikes but all the caves in this mountain. After finishing its job, the xenomorph walked out of the cave and smaller ones entered the caves and collected the injured or dead Giant Serpent.

...

In another place where a giant tree was located with many birds of prey living there. A xenomorph walking on all fours slowly walked over like, attracting the attention of these flesh eating birds.

On the ground were many feathers of these birds and it seemed like what the xenomorph had come here for.

Screech! Screech! Screech! Screech!

The birds screeched to warn the unknown enemy to not do anything foolish but the enemy didn’t bother with them as the bird feathers only the ground rose from the ground and floated in the air

Then, the xenomorph looked at the birds and the massive birds with sharp talons and metallic beaks also looked at it.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

The feathers that were floating in the air pierced through the air and flew at unmatched speed towards the birds and the birds scattered in different directions but didn’t flew away but instead circled the xenomorph while constantly dodging the feathers that were chasing after them.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!

The birds that couldn’t dodge in time blocked with their wings and actually produced sparks and the sound of two metals colliding.

Since these birds were protecting themselves from being pierced, they remained in the tree branches. The Xenomorphs was aiming for this moment and climbed the tree like a monkey and pierced every bird with its acid coated tail, killing the birds or injuring them, at the same time, it was protected by a shield of the feathers and the other birds could only watch their brethren being murdered.

As for coating the feathers with acid, that wasn’t possible since they would just melt like all metals. The acid didn’t melt the xenomorph’s tail because it was part of its body. After taking care of the birds on the branches, the other birds in the sky were infuriated, not just because their brethren had been killed but also because the xenomorph was playing with their corpses, controlling them like puppets.

Screech! Screech! Screech! Screech!

...

Croak! Croak! Croak! Croak! Croak!

The sound of frogs croaking made it clear that this was frog territory and that no other Mutant Beasts should enter. Only a single type of frog species lived here, a type of frog that was so deadly that no other creature dared to mess with it, it was the Poisonous Frogs.

A poison so strong no human had created an antidote for it and no Mutant Beast had become immune to it. These frogs were not very big, only about the size of a basketball. They could jump very high, climb trees and even swim.

As they croaked about to attract mates, the ground trembled, indicating that a massive creature had entered their territory but this creature only took a few steps before stopping. It then jumped high up in the air and was engulfed in flames, bringing light to the dark night. Fireballs half its size appeared around this flame engulfed creature.

[Fire Manipulation: Meteor Shower!]

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

The trees burned everything they came across, the trees caught fire and started to burn, the frogs in the trees were burned. Other frogs tried to escape but their guest wouldn’t let them.

[Firewall!]

A tall wall of fire surrender the frog territory, making sure that not even a single one escape.

[Volcanic depths!]

The ground cracked open and lava spewed out, burning the frogs into nothing. By the time the xenomorph was done with the Poisonous Frogs, not a single one was left alive. After making sure that all the frogs were dead, it called the weaker xenomorphs who then started digging, as for what they were digging for, only time would tell.

...

In an old and dilapidated castle, s group of humans entered the place cautiously until they reached the wooden doors. This place was infested with bats that didn’t fly away when encountering creatures bigger than it.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

They knocked on the door and the door opened by itself and the humans entered, a bat was flying mid air with fire sticks lighting up the place.

[My Lord is waiting for you in his study, he asked me to show you the way, please follow me.] said the little bat and the humans nodded and followed it. Even if the bat led them to a trap, they had no choice but to follow.

They followed the bat till they reached a room lit up with a lantern.

[Please enter, My Lord is waiting for you inside.]

The humans nodded and entered the room that smelled like books and actually had ancient and precious book that not even money could buy. The place was tidy and clean with a small desk with a few scrolls and books placed on it.

[You know, it’s always a pleasure when food comes to visit me. It makes me... appreciate my immortality. Now, food, you better have something very delicious for me to have to come here, something... you can’t handle yourselves.]

"A new M-Mutant Creature that c-can grow to adulthood in mere hours."

[What did you say?]
