Criminal X : Epitome Of Evil-Chapter 319: Mostly, Probably, Likely
Pablo relayed his schedule to his close ones but only Draxus knew what Pablo was talking about.
"You want to kill another Abyssal Butcher? When did you kill the first one, Boss?" Flashy asked.
"Right. You don't know about it. Well, Draxus, tell him." Pablo wasn't interested in telling the full story. Draxus would do that.
The right hand man did what Pablo said and relayed everything to Flashy and Pablo's two slaves.
"So one of the rapists is dead and he was in the first Marshal's battalion. If anyone gets to know about this, the first Marshal will kill you, Boss."
"I know. That's why all of you shall keep quiet and go back to your barracks. The barracks allotted for the Abyssal Butchers. And you two," Pablo looked at Hena and Nike. "Your uniforms will be given to you today. Build a habit of wearing them."
Nike and Hena didn't have the Abyssal Butchers' uniform yet. They joined just today after all.
"Thank you." Nike said.
Hena also bowed her head.
"Now go." Pablo ordered and the two slaves left the ground.
Only Flashy and Draxus were there now.
Pablo glanced at Flashy. "Do you want something?"
"No."
"Then why are you standing here? Go."
"Me too?" Flashy seemed shocked.
"Yes. Me and Draxus will suffice. And no need to be jealous. There are needs for a mission."
"But I want to help too."
Pablo walked towards Flashy and placed his hand on Flashy's shoulder.
"You will get your chance. For now, you may leave."
Flashy sighed. "Fine."
He gave a thumbs up to Draxus and left the ground as well.
"Why the thumbs up?" Pablo asked Draxus.
Draxus raised his shoulders. "If you didn't get it then there's no way I got it either."
They both decided to ignore Flashy's gesture and Pablo sat on the grassy ground.
Draxus remained standing in front of Pablo.
"Let's go see those four." Pablo ordered.
Draxus was waiting for that so he instantly dropped inside his shadow. But he wasn't alone, he took Pablo inside as well.
The ground 8 was empty now as a shadow moved past the gate.
Draxus' shadow just appeared to be a round black regular shadow on the ground for normal people and that only helped him to remain unnoticed. Pablo would use that to his full advantage.
Soon, the shadow reached the ground where the first Marshal and his soldiers were gathered. Pablo had made Draxus know about the designated grounds for all ten Marshals.
The shadow stopped just under the shade of the entrance of ground 3 and both Pablo and Draxus watched the ongoing events with the First Marshal Fozier's battalion.
The First Marshal was standing in the front of all his ninety nine soldiers. Pablo and Draxus couldn't see his face as the shadow was behind his back.
But the faces of the soldiers, they could see. And they were tense.
"Looks like they got to know one of them is missing." Draxus whispered.
"Yeah. And since they are still here it means they don't know that the missing person is dead."
They both decided to watch the further meeting of the First Marshal. They might get to know their next move and Pablo might probably find his new victim as well.
"Soldiers, one of you is missing. Where is he?" Fozier asked.
The soldiers didn't reply.
"Does anyone not know? The missing soldier is Dilinger. Where is he?"
The soldiers remained silent again.
Fozier clenched his fists. "The King is planning war and one soldier is missing. Do you think it's a joke? The Admiral wants you all to receive training. No one can't skip! Where is Dilinger?!"
One soldier raised his hand.
Pablo saw him.
His hands' twitched.
'That's why I wasn't looking at each soldier standing there.'
Pablo controlled his body, making sure it did not jump out of the shadow and started fighting right there and then.
The soldier who had raised his hand was Kony. One of the rapists. He was skinny and Pablo could never forget about him just like the other four.
"What is it, Kony?" Fozier asked.
"Dilinger often visits General Lombard's house. He went there last night as well. But he hasn't returned till now." Kony shared.
Pablo had seen Dilinger's memories so he knew that before coming to the General's mansion, Dilinger had told Kony that he was going there.
Fozier heard Kony and pressed his forehead.
"That perverted fat bitch."
"So he also knows what the General was doing in his mansion." Pablo said.
"Nearly everyone knows, I think. The General had supplied women probably to everyone in the military." Draxus shared his thoughts as well.
Pablo nodded and watched Fozier's next steps.
"Why hasn't he returned yet?" The Marshal asked.
Kony smiled. "Maybe he found someone worth all the night?"
Fozier threw a glare at Kony. "Don't talk to me like that, Kony. I will rip out your head."
Kony bowed. "Forgive me, Marshal. I was just saying."
'So this Marshal is feared. I guess only other Marshals know how much of a masochist he is.' Pablo thought, recalling the time when the Admiral stepped on Fozier's head.
"We can forget about him and train on our own, Marshal." One soldier suggested.
"No. We all are one. If one isn't training then all of us aren't either."
"Then what do we do?"
Fozier remained silent for a while, he stared in the sky as if guessing the time, then eventually he made the decision.
"Let's get him ourselves."
He turned around and all the soldiers would obey any order of his.
Draxus' shadow remained in place, not moving an inch and when everyone finally left the ground 3, did the shadow moved again to follow them.
"It's happening, czar." frёewebnoѵēl.com
"Yeah. They are going there."
"What do you think will happen?" Draxus asked.
"Either they will take the things on their face value or try to dig deeper."
"Let's hope it's the former."
Draxus hoped for the best and with his Czar, he followed behind the hundred soldiers of Fozier.
All of them left the camp and when the pedestrians saw a Marshal with nearly all of his soldiers walking, they stopped in their place. The situation was intimidating for them.
No one moved and the soldiers paid no attention to them. They were going towards the General's mansion and they would only stop there.
Soon, they all reached the area and as Pablo suspected, it was surrounded with guards of the city.
Fozier stood just in front of the mansion and asked the nearby guard, "What's all this?"
The guard first bowed to the Marshal and revealed :
"There's been a fight here last night, Marshal between the General and an Abyssal Butcher. They both died."
Fozier raised his brows. "In which room? Are the bodies still there?"
"At the top floor. The bodies are still there." The guard answered.
Fozier nodded. "Move."
The guard moved aside and everyone went inside the mansion.
"Should I follow them inside?" Draxus asked.
"Can your shadow really remain undetected?"
"Yes. Mostly… Probably… I mean, likely."
"Which one is it?"
"I don't know. What if someone had an Ego to sense shadows?"
Pablo sighed. "Follow them. I will manage."
Draxus shrugged and went inside the mansion as well.
But this time, he stayed far from them.
Fozier remained in the front and with long steps, he climbed the stairs.
The ninety nine soldiers followed their leader as all of them reached the top floor.
Then, the Marshal increased his speed and reached the only room which had its doors open.
He looked inside and well, he scowled.
"What happened here?"
He stepped inside the room and the ninety nine soldiers as well.
All of them made faces as the stench of rotten flesh greeted their nose.
The red room was already rotten enough and the added stench of Dilinger's burned body inside the container made it more menacing for the nose.
Pablo and Draxus were under the shade of the entrance of the red room and Pablo hoped that Marshal wasn't a good detective.
Fozier first went towards the dead body of the General and touched it with his leg.
Then he looked at the container.
"It is filled with oil."
Fozier looked under the container and added :
"Filled with boiling oil."
He then ordered one of his soldiers.
"Take out whatever is inside the container."
The soldier obliged and put his hand inside the container.
He hovered his hand inside the oil.
The oil wasn't hot anymore so the soldier found no problem.
But when he couldn't find anything with only one hand, he dropped his second hand inside the container as well.
However, even with both hands, the soldier found nothing.
"I can't find anything, Marshal."
"Forget it. Just roll the container. Empty everything." Fozier commanded.
The soldier did just that. He held the container and rolled it right in the room, emptying the oil from it.
The Marshal would have shouted at the soldier from making the floor all oily but he didn't do that.
He forgot all about the oil, as on the floor, laid a skeleton with no hands and legs and a black uniform.
And everyone knew who it was…
"Dilinger!"
