Criminal X : Epitome Of Evil-Chapter 576: Colt in Hand, Heart in Thrall

Pablo was ready to die.

His death meant life for Sera.

So, with courage, he chose death. He wasn't able to show love to Sera when she was alive. But this way, it would be his show of love. His last act of love was his death.

Altor took out his scythe and Pablo figured his death was near.

So he told Altor to tell Sera that he was sorry.

After he said that, he closed his eyes and then felt the cold tip of Altor's scythe on his throat.

He was ready for death.

"You will…" Altor spoke and Pablo clenched his fist. He shivered as death was near and Altor shouted:

"Tell her that yourself!"

…

"Huh?"

Pablo opened his eyes.

Cupid also stopped crying for a second there.

Pablo still felt the tip of the scythe on his throat but the next second, Altor brought it back. Heck, he unsummoned it. He didn't have the scythe anymore.

Pablo didn't understand and because of this, his heart broke the bounds of beating.

All the Gods had a smile on their faces and as Pablo watched them with all the surprise of the world, they all did something that took Pablo completely off guard.

CLAP!

They started clapping.

Pablo stood up from the sofa.

He looked around.

Cupid also had no idea. But she wasn't crying anymore.

Pablo didn't understand what was going on and since all the ten gods were standing very close to him, he believed he was trapped. He joined some type of cult. He was about to encounter some bad news.

He called Colt in his hand again and kept an eye on each of the Gods. He circled continuously, not missing any movements from the Gods.

But the Gods just clapped for Pablo and their smiles weren't fake ones or scary. They were genuinely smiling.

Pablo was always scared of genuine things though. He never took care of genuine things. So he pointed Colt at Altor.

"What the fuck is going on?" He barked. He also looked at the crystal ball and Sera was still dead. She wasn't alive yet.

Altor raised both his arms in the air as if he was at a gun point. But his smile never changed.

"Calm down, Pablo. There is no problem." Altor said.

Pablo didn't believe him.

Altor sighed and looked at the other Gods.

"Go back." He said.

The Gods obliged and went back to their seats.

Now only Altor was left standing in front of Pablo.

"Sit down, Pablo. If we wanted to kill you, you should know that your Colt won't be able to stop us." The Death God said and Pablo hated to agree with that. Pablo may be strong but he wasn't strong enough to fight all the ten Gods at once.

Also, he was confused right now.

Cupid came flying and floated beside Pablo and she nodded as well, saying Pablo should sit.

Pablo decided to listen to her and sat down on the single sofa again.

Altor also summoned a similar sofa like Pablo and sat in front of him.

Pablo didn't let go of Colt and he also didn't relax on the sofa. He would make sure something wrong doesn't happen to him to the best of his abilities.

"Calm down, man. You are fine." Altor said, laughing.

Pablo didn't listen. He kept his suspicious gaze on.

Altor sighed and decided to continue like this.

"Do you remember what I said about Sera?" The God asked.

"Yeah. You told me that you will revive her."

"Before that. What did I say about her?" Altor asked again and Pablo recalled the words.

In a few seconds, Pablo was ready with the answer.

"She has no sins."

Altor snapped his fingers. "Exactly."

Pablo rolled his eyes. "We are not playing a game. Just get to the point."

Altor laughed. "Sure. So tell me why did I say that she has no sins?"

Pablo didn't wait for a long time as he knew the answer. But he did controlled himself, before giving the answer. "Because she died for me and dying for someone else erases all the sins one has done."

Altor smiled. "Right."

Pablo frowned. He didn't understand Altor's smile and the God stopped talking after smiling like that. His smile appeared like he was trying to tell Pablo something. Something that Pablo should understand right away.

So Pablo repeated the questions and answers in his mind that Altor asked him and when he reached the last answer that he gave… his eyes widened.

"Don't tell me…"

Altor's smile widened. "Yes. You passed, Pablo."

Pablo slumped on the sofa.

He sent Colt back and placed his hands on his face.

He rubbed his face and shook his head.

All the Gods laughed and smiled at Pablo and Pablo was only focused on himself.

But there was one creature who had no idea what happened.

"What happened? What is going on?" Cupid asked, looking here and there.

Pablo removed his hands from his face and sat upright.

"You tell her. State it clearly for her." He said.

Altor smiled and agreed.

He patted his knees and stood up.

"We were testing you, Pablo."

Pablo gestured to Altor to keep going.

Altor didn't mind that.

"We wanted to see if you have really changed or not. This was the final test of yours. Let's be honest, the last evil left in the Seraphim was really you, and since we wanted Seraphim to be completely rid of evil, taking you out was also necessary. But in the past year, your behavior has completely changed. And what you did with the slaves and Flashy's mom, it melted our hearts and we found pity for you. That's why we decided to take a test."

Pablo and Cupid paid attention.
